im not sure what you mean. As long as you have internet connection with your iphone and its connected up to laptop (or desktop...) you will have internet on your laptop. the iphone has to remain connected

Although relatively simple, this app is far more complicated than it needs to be. The app should simply be opened, turned on, it generates a hotspot and other computers can jump on it just like any other wifi, without the hoops to jump through of creating an ad hoc etc. Option to make it secured or not. MyWi works this way. The downside of MyWi is it is bundled with the 'rockyourphone' app. We dont want to be 'tethered' to the apple app store or rockyourphone! Thats why we jailbroke our phones!

well i m very thnkful to ya dat i can use my mob net to my laptop. buh da big prob. i've is dat i can't access to facebook and myspace etc. I dese all open buh as soon as u write ur passwords and click sign in it never worked. not only dese websites indeed all websites wid password. give me solution. i'll be thnkful to ya.

its built into the 3.0 firmware now, no need for this. go into settings > general > network and turn on internet tethering (while connected to computer)

I dont know if 1st gen iphones can have the 3.0 FW but if they can, upgrade and use the official tethering feature. if your carrier disables tethering, google is your friend

does your itouch have 3G or Edge internet connection?... only iphones can use this. in 3.0 depending on the carrier, internet tethering is integrated, some providers block it, but there is a workaround.

yes! the 3.0 firmware has tethering integrated depending on your carrier. This video will apply to Firmware versions below 3.0

i try this on my iphone 3g and it works i also test the speed and i get 1.8mbps to 2.0mbps so little faster than qwest 1.5 lol. if you don't aready have iphone 3g go get one soon because you won't regret for trying....
