After all, spending hundreds of billions per year on the Iraq war is patriotic, but a few billion on health care is socialist treason.

The whole idea of the expansion was to not only cover all super-poor kids but also those kids whose parents are not quite officially poor but still can't properly afford to buy health insurance out of pocket.

So Boehner isn't telling the whole story. The President vetoed a bill that would have increased health services to hundreds of thousands of non-affluent American kids. Who's playing the political games here?

So, Speaker Pelosi wants to MOVE FORWARD with SCHIP reauthorization by DELAYING the vote on the veto override for SIX WEEKS (the week of the State of the Union Speech)??? Sounds like she would rather a political issue than a bill that becomes law.

The Republicans in general are a despicable, self-serving contingent of hypocrites. Always 'talking' as if they want to do the right thing but in fact, only doing that which benefits Republicans and always ignoring the common working man. The true tragedy is that the average lower mid class worker is taken in by the rhetoric. They do exactly what hurts them, supporting those they consider 'macho'
