I'm no nostradamus therefore I can't give a date. All ponzi schemes fail when there is a shortage of "new recruits" to pay for the previous.
Why pay for the next generation (when the government will indirectly loot it when they print more cash), when I can save my money for me. Id rather keep my cash in a piggy bank than with a govt that spends like a teen.
You should google the definition of ponzi scheme. If madoff was so atrocious, then why put up with this ponzi scheme.
The scariest thing about that is people like you, with an argumentary so bad got the right to vote. First of all why is it bad to be socialist. And please give me real reason not unfounded bullshit
luvcheney 1or 01, regardless. Article.I.Section.8, cls12-16 are called "The War Power Act". This is what Congress must pass in order for War to occur. It wasn't passed by 43 and THE EVIL DOER[ that person sans pulse due to his last operation for his lack of heart condition which required a contraption rendering patient pulseless, that you call cheney], the lies told about WMD's, the Saddam was responsible for taking the towers down, oops no WMD's, ooops 14 of 15 hijackers were al Qaeda members,
@IndeedUhHuh ".the threat.Iraq poses now, a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction ready to use them, or provide them to terrorists" thats Bill Clinton 1998 when HE was Pres! There are dozens of quotes of Libs, Progressives saying EXACTLY what Bush/Cheney said! Congress approved war, the house 297-133, 82 Dems also in favor! Senate 77-23, also 21 Dems in favor! A genius like you knows, Congress passes laws, not Pres ( who says yes/no,). Ask Congress why they wanted war..

A REPUBLICAN IN THE 21ST CENTURY
@RocStarr913 ???? Obama stated today he wants to keep 98% of Bush`s tax policy. He wants to allow the cuts to expire only on the richest 2%. There happens to be a growing number of Dems, who want 100% of Bush`s cuts. Most notably, Peter Herszog, who was in the CBO, then Obama picked him to lead the Office of Mgt and Budget. At CBO, he reported after Bush`s tax cuts, that Federal tax Revenue went up from 16.5% of GDP in 2003, to 18.4% in 2006. He just quit Obama. Called for ALL BUSH cuts to stay.
@luvcheney1 Any Democrat who does not support the tax cuts expiring for the rich 2% is either a corporate puppet or is spineless. Bush's tax cuts don't pay for anything, even John McCain said so before he he turned tail with the rest of the irrational right. It's contributed more to the national debt than anything else.
@RocStarr913 Bush+ Congress, accelerated tax cuts, 2003. Orszag, of CBO, cited Fed Revenue increased by $625 billion in 3 yrs after cuts, and if revenue increased at GDP rate, would only be $373 bill. Bush Tax cuts resulted in extra $252 Billion. Economic activity increases with cuts, giving higher revenue. JFK did the same thing. Clinton cut Cap gain from 28% - 20%. CBO said only $8 bill would result, but $84 bill did! The Rich spend, and invest. That causes activities that are taxed.
I'm not too sure that I've ever really seen a politician that accurately represents what this country needs, which is just plain an simple common sense!!! ...I'm sure there has got to be an honest, forward thinking, common sense politician out there somewhere........isn't there?
SCARY, ending Social Security?? WTF, thats really the only thing older Americans has now, after many 401K's got wiped out during the recession. Ending the Department of Education??? WTF, our nation's founding farther wanted a free education system in our country for all, bc they know that education was the only way for american to become powerful. Please Teaparty voters, learn the facts about these people, and open your ears, eyes, and mids.
@d84jennings Article 1, section 8 is where the powers of the Federal Govt are listed. Damn, they forgot to put education in there! Therefore, that power belongs to the states. So, the US Dept of Education is NOT Constitutional
@dizzymasekela They are not anti Constitution. You think the Constitution is defined as"any fucking thing is OK". What is OK, is listed in Article 1, Section 8. Everything else is left to the States. "Enumerated Powers".
@luvcheney1 hey moron, the constitution was drafted to INCREASE the power of the Federal government. Your constitution worship is based on a myth. The constitution is a living document, the world changes and you right-wing Nazi bigots are trying to bring us back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
eh, my firefox spell check snuck that in there. I am not apologizing. Public school system? Yup. So your saying the backassward school that taught you hate, ignorance and straight up stupidity is better. Continue thinking there is a boogey man, check under your bed each night for a socialist monster that's created by your parties collective imagination.
@v12kid Read the news, it was in the face. Please clarify, do you "tout" guns, or "tote" them? Victim of the public school system? How about a comment on a policy level? Just expressing that you dislike those with differing views adds nothing. Whether it is tout or tote, why would a Democrat like guns? Cant be for food, you got food stamps for that. Not for protection, you got police for that too. They will take a report, after you are stabbed to death. Great!
The DNC is desperate. All they can do is what they do best which is to use ridicule and character assassination on their opponents to hide their own failure.
@newjerseyequality It's amazing how you don't see anything the other side does. Those bastards have been on a 24/7 propaganda pushing spree since Obama took office. On Saturday Beck is preaching God and Country,- we must come together, and on Sunday he's saying Obama pracrices some kind of Religion that's a perversion of the gospel of Jesus Christ as most Christians know it," All of them are a bunch of sick neo-con fucks. Can't wait to see them put everyone back to work without spending a dime.
@HemiHead66 We would cut taxes, let the market fix it. After all, the CBO dot gov reported under Bush tax cuts, Fed revenue grew by $625 bill from 2003-2006, and subtracting growth of GDP, left additional $373 bill. Tax revenue, as % of GDP, rose from 16.5% to 18.4%! Want link to govt, reporting results? While we are at it, you mentioned a few posts ago that Bush cut corporate tax rates, he didnt. So, that`s another good, easy way to make more money, get corps to stay, come back, jobs.
@luvcheney1 omg you are so stupid it's scary. Talk to an economist about the Bush-era policies before you start throwing out manipulated statistics.
The debate is on whether or not to let the tax cuts EXPIRE, not give the rich MORE tax cuts. If they already have the tax cuts where are the jobs? Do you honestly believe that an extra $100k/yr will prompt unregulated corporations to bring work back from central america/asia where they're paying workers $2/day??
@aut0maticearth US Corp tax rate avg ( Fed & State) is 39%, AVG of 31 OECD nations( Europe too) is 24%. Corps leave US, work at 24% tax rate abroad paying foreign govts, pocket extra 15% profit, pay US Govt zero. Regulations, Lawsuits , environmental costs, etc, contribute too. Labor is not necessarily total problem. If US can invest in newer machines producing 10 times the product, we can still pay 10 times higher wage, but that requires capital, it COSTS. Libs like high taxes, regulations.
Anyone remember the French Revolution. Sure there was corruption in all places but the government was still holding it together. But once the heads starting rolling suddenly the French found themselves under the command of some of the dumbest, incapable, unintelligent people who almost ran it into the ground. This could happen here. If I had a choice between corrupt leaders and these people, I'll take the corrupt leader. At least we have a government under those with "sense".
@v12kid Generally speaking, the rifles in the racks of the windows in our pickups are too long to "off ourselves" with. When we go shooting, the targets are not ourselves. But, spilling blood is a sport. And fun for the whole family!
Whether people like it or not, the american people are fed up with the democratic party and the VOTE THE BUMS OUT is hurting the democrats more than the republicans. I hate the republicans, don't get me wrong, but this country is racist and the tea party/republicans will emerge this mid term election and take the HOUSE and SENATE in washington.
wow. i cant believe some of these comments. i think everything mentioned thats the tea party candidates want to do should happen. The UN is so anti american it isnt funny. The IRS isnt even legal by constitutional standards. Our educational system is corrupt. What the hell is wrong with you people??!!! wake up!! look at what our corrupt government is doing to us. what happened to the days where one was proud to be an american? now we are proud to be members of the world! shame on you all
This video is pretty funny. The DNC has shown their ignorance by trying to tie the Tea Party to the GOP. All the people in the video were shown as GOP candidates. This should show how scared the Dems are of what's about to happen to them.
I say start at the top and fire them all and start over with the Constitution in hand.
I think I'll run for a senate seat. An 8th grade education is enough to be a senator, right? I mean, you don't have to read the bills you pass. And all you really need to be able to do is say no. Oh, and fill your pockets with campaign cash. Sounds pretty easy to me.
Getting rid of the UN and the IRS sounds wonderful to me. But if touch my Social Security, lets just say you won't hear the end of it. Unless you want to buy me out. Give me what I put in with all the interest for the last 30 years, and you can do what you want with SS.
@HemiHead66 If you figure the tax 15.3%, and made $30K a year for 40 years, your payoff would be $700.000 if invested at 6%, which is under the long term gain in the S&P 500, including the crisis. You are going to get $1700/ mo for a few years. You figure it out if SS makes sense.
@luvcheney1 Well, since they're robbing the money, SS doesn't really make sense. But putting that part of my retirement in the stock market definitely don't make sense. I don't care what the numbers say for the past, every year that goes by that shit-hole get more and more corrupt. Give it a little while and watch how these markets collapse. You can not maintain growth by shifting all our jobs to 3rd world countries. Watch want happens when the Chinese are all borrowed out.
@HemiHead66 Greed and corruption are just part of life. There isnt any more, or less than in the past. Long term return is way over 6%. As for shifting "our jobs" overseas, 2 points. They are not "our jobs" at all. The jobs have been created by corporations, for benefit to stockholders. "Our Jobs" are shipped overseas, because the AVG corp tax rate in the US is 39%, and 24% avg overseas. Corporations arent stupid, nor slaves. Fuck them over, they work elsewhere.
@luvcheney1 Here we go with that goddamn tax rate again. Big business in the U.S. have ducked taxes for years. Then you had Bush tax cuts that pushed their already nothing tax rate lower. Those bastards moved overseas because they have no problem getting slaves to work for shit. Last month there was a story about the Chinese jumping off the factory roof, and out the fucking windows because they see no future in being slaves. So the raised their pay from 40 bucks a week to 55.
@HemiHead66 Anything that we can do to lower the cost of US corporations will help keep them here. Big corporations duck US taxes by going to low tax rate nations. Tax rate PAID by all US corporations that have assets over $2.5 Billion is 34%, taking foreign tax credit into account. This issue is complicated, but until you see how foreign tax rates affect US corps, you are lost.
@luvcheney1 We can't compete with what's going on over there. They live in a toxic sewer with no environmental laws. They don't have to worry about healthcare like here, the Govt. takes care of their healthcare. There's no pensions or 401k. We couldn't live on theiR wages. And the big one, they get to defer taxes. Even if our tax rate was 1% they'd get a better deal. This country is set up to fail. No, everyone will fail. The Chinese have no purchasing power, When the max out credit KABOOM.
@HemiHead66 "The Chinese have no purchasing power". According to the Bank Of International Settlements, Chinese saving rates in 2008 were 23% for households, 19% for corporations, 11% for the Govt. You just vomit any old piece of shit you ate for lunch as a fact. 6% houshold saving now, because of fear, but was negative a couple years ago. Does our Govt save? No purchasing power! Capital enables development. We BURN UP capital! Taking from those who accumulate it!
@luvcheney1 And regarding the e-mail I missed, the one where you said > Derivatives existed in Ancient Mesopotamia, 5000 years ago. I can PROMISE YOU, you personally own derivatives, you're just to dumb to know it. I believe this was about me saying risk was higher today than in the passed, and there's a hundred new vehicles created to rob the shit out a ya, like Derivatives. Since fuckin when were Credit default swaps & Collateralized debt obligations around 5000 years ago? Try 1995, smart-ass!
@HemiHead66 Laws on Derivatives were in Hammurabi Code. The correct time frame is 3700 yrs ago. Economy of Ancient Mesopotamia based on agriculture, the Derivative market was agricultural based. These derivatives model Commodity Futures markets, like Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Board of Trade. Futures have also been decried as gambling, but are an integral part of advanced societies. Ever wonder about Farmers Insurance, State Farm ins? No, I know you dont wonder about anything.
@luvcheney1 Cheney, I never said anything about derivatives not existing, your mind takes you to wonderland every time. My exact words were - there's a hundred new """"vehicles"""" created to rob the shit out a ya, like Derivatives. Credit default swaps & Collateralized debt obligations I believe were created by some fuck-head wiz-kid at J P Morgan, back in 1995.
@HemiHead66 WalMart 34% tax rate, Exxon Mobil 47% tax rate, Chevron 43%, Conoco 51%, ATT 32% Berksire Hathaway 31%, JP Morgan Chase 28%. Now, there are corps writing off losses from previous years at low or no rates now, and multinational corps who prefer to pay a 25% rate abroad, rather than 39% in the US. No mysteries. We ought to bring parity (Lower our rates) internationally, so they keep jobs, profit, taxes here. But no, Libs think punishing them is cool. Then, they bitch about outsourcing.
@luvcheney1 Exxon Mobil 47% tax rate? I think you and me are finished. I don't want to hear it anymore. You go live in your world, and I'll live in mine.
@HemiHead66 See Forbes, April 1, 2010 article "What the Top US companies Pay in Taxes", or Google " Exxon Mobil Yahoo", you will get Corp stock info on Exxon, by Yahoo finance. Look on left side of page, go down to the bottom, under "financials", click on income statement. Then, get your calculator, Divide income tax expense, by "income before tax". Or use your favorite site you use to get Corporate stock info from. Exxon pays the tax to other nations, not enough places drilling allowed in US.
@luvcheney1 I read the Forbs article. If you went to the article I sent you the link for, you'd see that the info in it came from the Forbs article, and there's a link in the story that takes you to the Forbs article. It also says Forbs updated the article to mention that Exxon didn't agree with it's own Financial report, and that in the end they pay a substantial amount of taxes. When Forbs asked what that amount was, Exxon, said, that's not something we're required to disclose, nor do we.
@luvcheney1 Ya know, Cheney, I'm the one with the 8th grade education, you're supposed to be teaching me something here. So far, you haven't shown me shit. Give me something, anything, that'll benefit me.
@HemiHead66 The Fed doubled money supply 1995 to 2005 and beyond, the money going into mortgage credit. The quantity of mortgage debt soared, as homes grew in cost, and everyone financing. Fannie& F sold bags of mortgages (derivatives), AIG issued derivatives insuring those bags. You can NOT expect to create huge amounts of new money going into mortgage credit without an equal amount of growth in bank assets, financial assets, tied to mortgages. They are derivatives based on mortgages.
@luvcheney1 Yup! Good ol Greenspan, George Bush's housing programs for the poor and a whole lot of corruption caused this crises. The corruption for the most part wasn't reported in the media. You had those Mortgage brokers forging people's loan app. to push them through. Switching contracts on people putting them into Adjustable Rate Mortgages. Crooked appraisers working with flippers. There were a few different scams going on. Under Bush the Mafia was running wild.
@HemiHead66 There were a whole lot of "scams" going on, because the US was flooded with credit. ( we prefer the term "speculative activities" to "scams", although it does save lots of characters, when limited to 500 on You tube). You know that Clinton, Frank, Dodd, Fannie, Freddie, CRA, all pushed shit loans to shit people too, besides Bush? That in 1980 there was one in 400 zero down loans , 1990 one in 200 zero down, 2000 one zero in 10, 2006 one in 3. This insanity over many admininstration
@luvcheney1 By the way, you talk about Libs punishing Corp. It's not the liberals that want to rule the fucking world Militarily. Go watch Biden's speech the other day, he'll tell you straight out that it would be great to have the lowest tax rates in the world. But Libs live in the real world, they know the bills have to be paid. Go look up - Rumsfeld, 2.3 trillion tax-payer dollars missing. Go look up - PNAC Wiki -& see how neo-cons operate. Wasn't libs that created all this debt.
@luvcheney1 And corruption isn't part of my life. You want to give your money to Madoff, be my guest. And there's way more corruption now than in the past. You ever hear of technology? Software trading programs? Speed trading? A hundred different vehicles created to rob the shit our of ya, like derivatives. You don't know what you're talking about.
@HemiHead66 Derivatives existed in Ancient Mesopotamia, 5000 years ago. I can PROMISE YOU, you personally own derivatives. You are just to dumb to know it.
And let now the gloves come off. In One Corner we have have the greedy politicians and in the other , we have the angry citizens. Let the fight Begin. The elections are still fair aren't they or is it to now rigged?
"These People Could be in Charge"... I hope so! After Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, now Obama.... I can't wait to get fresh blood into government. I'm tired of the lies and rhetoric from both sides, TRILLIONS of dollars spent, and lobbyists galore. It's time to get fresh ideas in and start cutting out failed policies FROM BOTH SIDES!
I wonder why the DNC hasn't made a video about how great the economy is under their control? Oh, thats right, it's because the economy is in horrible shape right now and only getting worse under them.
@timjones066 Oh, your so right, because the republicans before them did such an excellent job of running the economy before hand! How could Democrats be so stupid! The economy is going up and down and its not the people who are stuck with the clean up job thats to blame. You cant fix billions of dollars in debt in 3 years.
@KTbrong - With the amount of money Obama and his idiot support team have spent, they could have cut every single tax paying citizen in this country a check for tens of thousands of dollars. You want to stimulate the economy? Here's a thought. How about giving money back to those who earned it so they can spend it as they see fit instead of having it disappear into a Democratic black hole of paybacks to unions and "friends' for their support during his campaign.
@Dragos25 Democratic black hole of paybacks to unions and "friends' for their support during his campaign? Oh yeah. I'm sure he handed all his union pals billions. Jeez, will you people get off the propaganda train already. When the Republicans were in charge, they were the Democrats on steroids. Bush Co. was handing all his pals billion dollar contracts left & right,. And all 57 Repubs in the senate voted against Dem Legislation to stop robbing tax-payers, and to jail and fine war-profiteers.
@HemiHead66 - It's not propaganda. It's factual statistics based on the non-partisan CBO reports. And in respect to spending for military contracts. Yes, we spent alot. And yes, I'm sure there was some BS that went on. But, as a fact, military equipment is extremely expensive and you can track the cost of a new Raptor, Superhornet, or MRAP. Nobody has seen where the money Obama has spent has gone, except for the signs he's spent millions on trying to convince us it was a good investment.
@Dragos25 I wasn't talking about big things like Jets. I was talking about Cheney's Halliburton burning 75,000 dollar trucks when they got a flat so they could profit off the next ones they bought. They burnt all kinds of shit. And I'm talking about the whole Bush family tied into the companies serving these wars. But since you mentioned the big things, like Jets, look up Rumsfeld 2.3 trillion tax-payer dollars missing - on You Tube.
@HemiHead66 $50 billion to GM, giving a part of the corp to UAW wasnt a union payoff? The recent bailout of states is to keep state union workers going. Are you actually an adult? BTW, in 2009, The War Profiteer, Halliburton, made 8.2% profit! OMG! 8 cents on a dollar! Holy Shit! Of course, as a truly multinational corp, They prefer paying taxes to a more reasonable taxing country, which means, ANYBODY BUT the USA!
@luvcheney1 First of all, Halliburton skirted all taxes. And how do you make 8 cents on the dollar when you're charging the Govt. 99 dollars to do one soldiers bag of laundry? And everything stunk after washed. But soldiers were forced to use Halliburton. The movie is on You Tube. (Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers) Halliburton would burn new 75,000 Dlr. trucks when they got a flat to profit off the next ones. They burnt everything - the more they used, the more $ they made. Wake the fuck-up!
@HemiHead66 Regarding Halliburton`s profit. I use Yahoo finance. I google "Halliburton yahoo", the first choice is Yahoo finance, with hallibuton financial info. On left side of page, close to bottom under "Financials", you see "income statement". You can take after tax income, 2009, divide by revenue, and find my answer. I give you freedom to use another financial source. I know you hate facts. It appears they should have burnt a lot more trucks, doesnt it?
@luvcheney1 I've been using Yahoo Finance for 10 years, and have all the tickers for my stocks and 401k listed under the profile I set up so I can track everything. There isn't anything you can tell me about Yahoo Finance. But there's something I can tell you about it. The numbers are poorly managed, and not always up to date. Go to NASDAQ DOT COMM and do a comparison. And those Financial sites are not going to disclose what's going on. Like Exxon said, they don't have to disclose that info.
@HemiHead66 I went to Nasdaq dot com, and I found Halliburton, ran the numbers and got 7.8% profit. ( after tax profit). The difference? Anyway, I`m glad its not as high as I said! Income tax is 30.8%. When Exxon said it doesnt have to disclose, its referring to WHO income taxes are paid to. True profit, taxes is required by govt, ( SEC) to be reported, but not to who. It is reported to who, on their income tax return, because they may take foreign tax credit deduction if profit comes home.
@luvcheney1 You're full of fucking shit. There is no difference paid you idiot. Obama wants it to be. And don't tell me they're not using tax shelters overseas the same as here. You're an idiot - period!
@HemiHead66 If you were actually capable of using a calculator, you could see for yourself. Corporations that are mostly stuck in the US, pay a lot of taxes. Like WalMart, Target, etc. Its the multinationals who can fix their businesses so the unprofitable parts are here, and the profitable parts somewhere with lower rates. The part about me being full of shit, I get, but the next 2 sentences I dont get at all. Try to use a full thoughts, I am not an MBA like Bush, and you.
@luvcheney1 The way I see it, if you want to figure out exactly what these companies are doing, you're going to have to know how to read their financial reports. And I mean really know how to read them. One part will say they're paying taxes of 40% - then in another place there's all kinds of shit that eliminates it all to the point the Govt. is paying them. Corporate welfare. I know Halliburton got a free pass because I've watched video where people smarter than me did the work.
@luvcheney1 And it wasn't just Halliburton. I can give you a link that shows the whole Bush family tied to a shit-load of companies serving these wars. Bush & Cheney had all their friends, Ex. Military, Ex CIA, Ex. politicians. Oil barons. They're all loaded with stock, then George e boy gives billions in contracts and they make millions. I'll send the link the other way because you can't send it from here. I suggest you read what I send.
@HemiHead66 The Bush family is Oil business. Cheney is Halliburton. Bush SR is CIA. Bush SR ex military. When Carter was president, Georgia hill billys ran things. Obama is Pres and Pinko revolutionaries run things. Business, military folks in charge with Bushes, so ? Hallibuton operates in over 70 countries, and is the Premier oil field operator. They wanted Iraq`s capacity to produce restored. Hussein burned the whole fucking place up. So what? Halliburton pays tax to FAIR tax nations. So?
@luvcheney1 Now you're a double idiot . You don't think giving no bid contracts to all your friends is a conflict of interest? And they were robbing the fucking shit out of tax-payers. Our soldiers were side-lined from all their jobs so private contractors could do the work at triple the cost. And the first thing Bush did when he took Iraq was convert their oil sales back to dollars from the Euro - you fucking idiot. And since the dollar wasn't worth shit to Euro, the Iraqi's got fucked BILLIONS
@HemiHead66 I guess you dont know that the Clinton - Gore Administration had hired Halliburton for work in the Balkans too? Keep in mind, dolt, that Clinton was President BEFORE Bush, OK? Halliburton had won many contracts as low bidder, including low bid in 1993. Clinton -Gore Admin granted a no- bid contract to them too, in 1997 ( Guess who was CEO?, some guy who actually knows how to run something) Thats because they knew they were very competitive, and wanted them to continue.
@luvcheney1 I told you yesterday I only had an 8th grade education. And this is the dumbest argument I've ever had. I never said these companies never pay taxes. All I said was that they're gaming the system. Now this shit is widely known throughout the world. Are you going to sit here and tell me everybody is wrong but you? Why do these companies have subsidiaries that don't physically exist listed? Is that just for Ha Ha's - or is it to lessen the tax burdon? The tax burdon we're stuck with.
@HemiHead66 There are lots of people who know exactly what know. You just dont know any, dont read anything of importance, dont use your own fucking computer to look up anything, and do arithmetic. I will, if you desire, refer you to an article from Forbes, and it ought to shed light on this. They agree with Me. I`m just a You Tube schmuck, but, I really think you dont believe anything that doesnt meet your business hating mentality. Fuck business, raise taxes, regulate them strangle them. Die!
@luvcheney1 I don't use my computer to look up anything? I could've swore I sent you all kinds of information you skipped over and went on to the next thing. And do you really think I don't know how to do basic math? It takes a whole lot more than math to figure out the financials of a multi-national corporation. Besides, I'm the one with the 8th grade education, I'm allowed to not understand every aspect of a financial report. Show me the Forbs info you got.
@HemiHead66 I will send it to you. First though, I want you to know that when I insult you, I am not insulting your education. Also, I just got my back operated on, and have been fucked up near 2 yrs so, I argue with Libs, kind of a hobby, and get insulted also, by you too. I may have started it, dont know. BUT, understanding some of a financial report is not beyond anyone who can divide numbers together. But, they are large numbers, you have to take care of decimals, many zeros. next coming
@luvcheney1 2nd part. You send me info, and sites about how corps dont pay taxes, for example. I agree, I know. You are correct. There are reasons, and most of them come down to a choice a corp must make. It is SIMPLE. Say that in California, tax rate is 20%, and Texas it is 0%. Say you own a business, and can choose where to set up. It is obviously far better to go to Texas, you keep 20% more, can expand faster, spend more on women, pay a Mgr better so you can go to the strip club.
@luvcheney1 You know, I looked all over for an article about one of these healthcare insurance companies having an argument in the media with a senator in Washington about what they said they were making, and what they were really making. i WISH I could find it because it said what they were doing to make their profits look less than what they really were.
@HemiHead66 CEO`s, upper MGT teams, all make bonus based on HIGH profit. Stocks, stock options, all these goodies depend on HIGH profit. Financial motivation is too OVERSTATE, not understate. The CEO`s, Mgt team hire the corporate accountants, but the Board hires auditors. What you are saying means CEO`s, mangers who want lower paychecks. I doubt it!
@luvcheney1 For the second time, I know how it works. But when you're an insurance company trying to jack up people's rates by 40%, you can bet your ass they're trying to claim poverty.
@HemiHead66 Largest US health Ins co has 4% profit, Insurance in NOT where the cost is, Obama says it is because he knows thats what YOU think! Medical costs are the issue. Govt insurance, for poor people, doesnt pay what private insurance does. A fraction. The economic crisis caused people to lose jobs, lose their private plans. So they go from private paying a lot, to govt not paying, and revenue for Drs, hospitals collapses. They raised their prices to survive, and Ins co1s have to too!
@luvcheney1 I've been over this a hundred times already. Go through their financial reports from awhile back when the economy wasn't in the toilet and see what their profit margin is. I saw quarters more than double that 4%. And you say insurance isn't where the cost is? Are you now saying they don't have to grow that stock price every frigging quarter like the rest of them to justify those big bonuses / stock options etc etc.?
@HemiHead66 United Health, nations largest, made 6.1% profit 2007, 3.7% in 2008, ending Dec31. Whoopee! Got a $500/ mo policy, highest year, they made a $30 profit. Is that the kind of reduction you are hoping for? $30 on a $500 policy? Of course, you have to believe no profit makes sense first. Your not that big a pinko, are you? What profit DO YOU think appropriate? Sorry for the Pinko. Substitute " Liberal Gentleman". Pinko does save characters on you tube though.
@luvcheney1 Ha Ha - Whoopee! Got a $500/ mo policy, highest year, they made a $30 profit. Who am I talking with, the CEO of Goldman Sachs? Evrybody is crying poverty, including you. That single digit profit margin = hundreds of millions of dollars, so don't give me the 30 routine. And we all know what they do to grow those numbers every Qtr. drop coverage on sick people for bullshit reasons. Get people fired from their jobs when the get sick. You won't find me givin any love to insurance Co.'s
@luvcheney1 Hey Cheney, how come our healthcare costs are double the world for the same or less care? You see where we rank on the list. We're the only industrialized country that gives it's citizens shit healthcare. The only thing we're good at is emergency care. There's a lot of waste and fraud in our system, and the people are paying for it. And I think I told you about drug costs. Now there's something you can't cry poverty on. I'm pretty sure they got the highest profit margins of any Bizz
@HemiHead66 Looking at profit by % is the only way in perspective. If the return is too low, capital flows to better industries. It MUST be reasonable, and reality is far less than what you "feel" to be true. Govt was 50% of healthcare, before Obama. ( Fed and State) The Medicare, "MediCal" groups are huge, severely underpay for care, forcing providers to charge more to all others. Pfizer, US largest Pharma, 17.2% profit( 2009). Youre right higher profit. $500 pills could be $414 at zero profit
@luvcheney1 And yes, Medical costs are an issue, too. Everybody's got a scam. I've been screwed over in the Hosiptal. The bastards charged 350 bucks to get a milk crate from the closet 5 feet away to see if I could step up when I broke my hip. I thought the girl was doing me a favor because she wanted to make sure I'd be able to get up the stairs into my house. Medicaid another rob the Govt. program. We got a lot of fraud in this country.
@luvcheney1 And I believe the Govt. found those insurance rate hikes a few months back were not justified. If I'm not mistaken, they didn't even want to fork over the numbers.
@luvcheney1 Yeah - you started it. Did you notice how every time you pop-off I do the same thing back in my next post? You know what they say, what goes around comes around. And I can understand the financial report. They lay out all the numbers. What I don't see is where they say they're paying so and so in taxes, then you find out they didn't actually pay it. I don't know what they're doing. Maybe some of these articles that expose what they're doing are looking at tax filings????
@luvcheney1 Well - is it just some more information that doesn't really mean anything? I think you read it and said holy shit. These people replaced the Mafia. And I won't even get into the drugs, and the Wall Street money washing machine.
@KTbrong 97 years of the Federal Reserve printing money, financing too much spending cant be stopped either. Better to look at the actual SOURCE of the proble, than making Bush a boogeyman. It is obvious the crisis relates to a housing bubble, assets like mortgages, and bags of mortgages ( derivatives) that became worthless when the bubble popped. Who is it that increases the supply of credit? Wall Street, banks cant print money. The Fed. Credit bubbles.
@luvcheney1 I can see talking to you is a waste of fucking time. GM got loans because of the amount of people's lives that would've been destroyed, not some fucking union. Jobs at parts suppliers would've been wiped out too. And they're tied to Japanese auto makers in this country. You want to send everything to fucking China - you fucking idiot? And what are you piss-ants going to bitch about when they go public and pay back the money? And Halliburton 8.2% profit - you fucking idiot - bullshit!
If they did make a video it would start like this. A corrupt banking system, where executives walked away with billions of dollars, large number of layoffs, 2 wars not fully funded, energy policy where large companies have received record profit in the history of this country. They walk into the sunset and say sorry!!!!! Obama comes looks around and says, "Man they mess this country up" Lets start from square one. Obama fights PROGRESS. scene 1
@00Weedman00 - This is such a stupid argument with no substantiating facts. When I see modern day Christians and Jews stoning people to death or cutting peoples heads off with a rusty saw, then you can open up a discussion. There's a huge difference between hateful rhetoric and the actual murder of a human being.
The amount of stupidity found in this vid and by dems on this page is frightening. Hey dems lets just keep printing money and spending until there are 35 chinese bases over here. With the amount of debt we have accumulated your great grandchildren will inherit a place more like Guatemala than the America you see before you now. Idiots want more regulation. Lets print and spend some more.
Rick Scott (FL) drops to Alex Sink. Ron Johnson does a belly flop to Russ Feingold. Harry's going to beat Sharron Angle. Dan Webster can go home. Jack Conway beats Rand Paul. Ken Buck (CO) walks home in tears. Linda McMahon gets body slammed! Joe Miller gets SHAVED by Murkowski (AK) ...and all you birthers will be deported for opposing the Democrats & Obama. ~Democratic House & Senate sweep November 2, 2010~ Hahahh !! All your teabagging will be of us :D
@catgirlforGore too bad the democrats are almost as bad as the republicans. We need to be smarter with the primaries. Vote the most liberal candiate. not crappy blue dog dinos
Fascinating - so many people making excuses for these right wing extremists. You'll be singing another tune if these radicals get elected and actually push through their agenda - like privatizing social security (Wall St will love that, you'll hate it). And do you even know what "covenant marriage" is - it means NO DIVORCE, no matter what. How many of you divorced people would be comfortable with that? Lastly, a bunch of these extremists want to ban abortion in all cases - even rape. Nice.
Look at how biased the media is...no wonder the tea party polls higher than the dems and the repubs. All the liberal hate mongers should focus on helping instead of spewing crap.
@rowboat15 How is being a tax payer being in the minority? If you are a citizen, you are probably a tax payer - the exception being the uber rich who are able to hire expensive lawyers to find them loop holes in the laws and send their wealth to swiss banks to avoid paying taxes.
I really like it when the Democrats show a little courage and go after the nut jobs on the right. They need to bombard the airwaves with the facts about that freak Murdoch and the FoxNews propaganda network.
If the Dems need propaganda to prevent their hemorrhaging of power I'd suggest Michael Moore. Actually, nvm. Maddow is fine. The convincing incredulity that is always in her voice when criticizing anyone who errs from her PC views is pretty convincing.
1:12 I am pretty liberal but I agreed on ALL points with Engle except the department of education bit.
While the U.S. is a member of the U.N. it continues to act as the world police and mom and is the contributes the most to other countries in regards to disasters and relief at the expense off the tax payers. Get out and the other nations will be forced to do more on their part. My generation will never get social security and the government has borrowed against it to the point that cont.
@penda3 it will operate that way it was intended to. Phasing out social security benefits my generation and future generations due to the fact that money remains in paychecks rather than go to a system that fails to do what it was intended. The I.R.S is not American and the tax codes are so skewed that even the head of the head of the I.R.S needs someone else to do his taxes. It doesn't benefit the people when the I.R.S faces no penalties or consequences for mistakes yet cont
@penda3 is allowed no boundaries to the amount of penalties, fines, and authority it has over the people. I don't understand her point about the department of education, because education is something that needs to be regulated to ensure that kids/people everywhere are learning what they're supposed to and not what one area decides is best as opposed to another. She could do away with some policies, but get rid of the DOE? Nah
Last time I looked, social security was working as intended. People have been paying into it all their lives, it's not bankrupt and those same people deserve to get back what was taken out of their paychecks.
@lordkoos No It's not!! If it was then why is it starting to paying out in the negative? The government took out some of the money that was stored in Social security to fund other projects and now it's paying out more than it rakes in meaning the generation paying in won't get anything. Read the news and read the government estimate that social security will run out in 15yrs(probably less than that) If it worked the way it was supposed to it would be where it's at right now. Get educated.
Yes, Republicans are crazy. But how are the Democrats going to get people to go to the polls and vote for their insipid, timid candidates? One answer Glen Beck. I saw dumb opportunist face, and I just donated money and I plan showing up and even driving a few folks to the pole. Tell Beck I said hi.
And, remember that Bush funded two wars through supplemental budget requests, keeping them off the books to keep his deficit numbers much lower than they really were. He financed all this by borrowing, mostly from China, which will still have to be paid back by our descendents - with interest.
Bush was a master at creating false number and still his were the worst of the last century. Bush's contribution to the national debt was greater than all our previous presidents combined.

Called for ALL BUSH cuts to stay.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 Any Democrat who does not support the tax cuts expiring for the rich 2% is either a corporate puppet or is spineless. Bush's tax cuts don't pay for anything, even John McCain said so before he he turned tail with the rest of the irrational right. It's contributed more to the national debt than anything else.
RocStarr913 1 year ago

HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 We would cut taxes, let the market fix it. After all, the CBO dot gov reported under Bush tax cuts, Fed revenue grew by $625 bill from 2003-2006, and subtracting growth of GDP, left additional $373 bill. Tax revenue, as % of GDP, rose from 16.5% to 18.4%! Want link to govt, reporting results? While we are at it, you mentioned a few posts ago that Bush cut corporate tax rates, he didnt. So, that`s another good, easy way to make more money, get corps to stay, come back, jobs.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 omg you are so stupid it's scary. Talk to an economist about the Bush-era policies before you start throwing out manipulated statistics.
The debate is on whether or not to let the tax cuts EXPIRE, not give the rich MORE tax cuts. If they already have the tax cuts where are the jobs? Do you honestly believe that an extra $100k/yr will prompt unregulated corporations to bring work back from central america/asia where they're paying workers $2/day??
aut0maticearth 1 year ago
@aut0maticearth US Corp tax rate avg ( Fed & State) is 39%, AVG of 31 OECD nations( Europe too) is 24%. Corps leave US, work at 24% tax rate abroad paying foreign govts, pocket extra 15% profit, pay US Govt zero. Regulations, Lawsuits , environmental costs, etc, contribute too. Labor is not necessarily total problem. If US can invest in newer machines producing 10 times the product, we can still pay 10 times higher wage, but that requires capital, it COSTS. Libs like high taxes, regulations.

luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 Well, since they're robbing the money, SS doesn't really make sense. But putting that part of my retirement in the stock market definitely don't make sense. You can not maintain growth by shifting all our jobs to 3rd world countries. Watch want happens when the Chinese are all borrowed out.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 Greed and corruption are just part of life. There isnt any more, or less than in the past. Long term return is way over 6%. As for shifting "our jobs" overseas, 2 points. They are not "our jobs" at all. The jobs have been created by corporations, for benefit to stockholders. "Our Jobs" are shipped overseas, because the AVG corp tax rate in the US is 39%, and 24% avg overseas. Corporations arent stupid, nor slaves. Fuck them over, they work elsewhere.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 Here we go with that goddamn tax rate again. Big business in the U.S. have ducked taxes for years. Then you had Bush tax cuts that pushed their already nothing tax rate lower. Those bastards moved overseas because they have no problem getting slaves to work for shit. Last month there was a story about the Chinese jumping off the factory roof, and out the fucking windows because they see no future in being slaves. So the raised their pay from 40 bucks a week to 55.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 Anything that we can do to lower the cost of US corporations will help keep them here. Big corporations duck US taxes by going to low tax rate nations. Tax rate PAID by all US corporations that have assets over $2.5 Billion is 34%, taking foreign tax credit into account. This issue is complicated, but until you see how foreign tax rates affect US corps, you are lost.

HemiHead66 1 year ago

@timjones066 Oh, your so right, because the republicans before them did such an excellent job of running the economy before hand! How could Democrats be so stupid! The economy is going up and down and its not the people who are stuck with the clean up job thats to blame. You cant fix billions of dollars in debt in 3 years.
KTbrong 1 year ago
@KTbrong - With the amount of money Obama and his idiot support team have spent, they could have cut every single tax paying citizen in this country a check for tens of thousands of dollars. You want to stimulate the economy? Here's a thought. How about giving money back to those who earned it so they can spend it as they see fit instead of having it disappear into a Democratic black hole of paybacks to unions and "friends' for their support during his campaign.
Dragos25 1 year ago
@Dragos25 Democratic black hole of paybacks to unions and "friends' for their support during his campaign? Oh yeah. I'm sure he handed all his union pals billions. Jeez, will you people get off the propaganda train already. When the Republicans were in charge, they were the Democrats on steroids. Bush Co. was handing all his pals billion dollar contracts left & right,. And all 57 Repubs in the senate voted against Dem Legislation to stop robbing tax-payers, and to jail and fine war-profiteers.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 - It's not propaganda. It's factual statistics based on the non-partisan CBO reports. And in respect to spending for military contracts. Yes, we spent alot. And yes, I'm sure there was some BS that went on. But, as a fact, military equipment is extremely expensive and you can track the cost of a new Raptor, Superhornet, or MRAP. Nobody has seen where the money Obama has spent has gone, except for the signs he's spent millions on trying to convince us it was a good investment.
Dragos25 1 year ago
@Dragos25 I wasn't talking about big things like Jets. I was talking about Cheney's Halliburton burning 75,000 dollar trucks when they got a flat so they could profit off the next ones they bought. They burnt all kinds of shit. And I'm talking about the whole Bush family tied into the companies serving these wars. But since you mentioned the big things, like Jets, look up Rumsfeld 2.3 trillion tax-payer dollars missing - on You Tube.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 $50 billion to GM, giving a part of the corp to UAW wasnt a union payoff? The recent bailout of states is to keep state union workers going. Are you actually an adult? BTW, in 2009, The War Profiteer, Halliburton, made 8.2% profit! OMG! 8 cents on a dollar! Holy Shit! Of course, as a truly multinational corp, They prefer paying taxes to a more reasonable taxing country, which means, ANYBODY BUT the USA!
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 First of all, Halliburton skirted all taxes. And how do you make 8 cents on the dollar when you're charging the Govt. 99 dollars to do one soldiers bag of laundry? And everything stunk after washed. But soldiers were forced to use Halliburton. The movie is on You Tube. (Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers) Halliburton would burn new 75,000 Dlr. trucks when they got a flat to profit off the next ones. They burnt everything - the more they used, the more $ they made. Wake the fuck-up!
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 Regarding Halliburton`s profit. I use Yahoo finance. I google "Halliburton yahoo", the first choice is Yahoo finance, with hallibuton financial info. On left side of page, close to bottom under "Financials", you see "income statement". You can take after tax income, 2009, divide by revenue, and find my answer. I give you freedom to use another financial source. I know you hate facts. It appears they should have burnt a lot more trucks, doesnt it?
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 I've been using Yahoo Finance for 10 years, and have all the tickers for my stocks and 401k listed under the profile I set up so I can track everything. There isn't anything you can tell me about Yahoo Finance. But there's something I can tell you about it. The numbers are poorly managed, and not always up to date. Go to NASDAQ DOT COMM and do a comparison. And those Financial sites are not going to disclose what's going on. Like Exxon said, they don't have to disclose that info.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 I went to Nasdaq dot com, and I found Halliburton, ran the numbers and got 7.8% profit. ( after tax profit). The difference? Anyway, I`m glad its not as high as I said! Income tax is 30.8%. When Exxon said it doesnt have to disclose, its referring to WHO income taxes are paid to. True profit, taxes is required by govt, ( SEC) to be reported, but not to who. It is reported to who, on their income tax return, because they may take foreign tax credit deduction if profit comes home.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 You're full of fucking shit. There is no difference paid you idiot. Obama wants it to be. And don't tell me they're not using tax shelters overseas the same as here. You're an idiot - period!
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 If you were actually capable of using a calculator, you could see for yourself. Corporations that are mostly stuck in the US, pay a lot of taxes. Like WalMart, Target, etc. Its the multinationals who can fix their businesses so the unprofitable parts are here, and the profitable parts somewhere with lower rates. The part about me being full of shit, I get, but the next 2 sentences I dont get at all. Try to use a full thoughts, I am not an MBA like Bush, and you.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 The way I see it, if you want to figure out exactly what these companies are doing, you're going to have to know how to read their financial reports. And I mean really know how to read them. One part will say they're paying taxes of 40% - then in another place there's all kinds of shit that eliminates it all to the point the Govt. is paying them. Corporate welfare. I know Halliburton got a free pass because I've watched video where people smarter than me did the work.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 And it wasn't just Halliburton. I can give you a link that shows the whole Bush family tied to a shit-load of companies serving these wars. Bush & Cheney had all their friends, Ex. Military, Ex CIA, Ex. politicians. Oil barons. They're all loaded with stock, then George e boy gives billions in contracts and they make millions. I'll send the link the other way because you can't send it from here. I suggest you read what I send.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 The Bush family is Oil business. Cheney is Halliburton. Bush SR is CIA. Bush SR ex military. When Carter was president, Georgia hill billys ran things. Obama is Pres and Pinko revolutionaries run things. Business, military folks in charge with Bushes, so ? Hallibuton operates in over 70 countries, and is the Premier oil field operator. They wanted Iraq`s capacity to produce restored. Hussein burned the whole fucking place up. So what? Halliburton pays tax to FAIR tax nations. So?
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 Now you're a double idiot . You don't think giving no bid contracts to all your friends is a conflict of interest? And they were robbing the fucking shit out of tax-payers. Our soldiers were side-lined from all their jobs so private contractors could do the work at triple the cost. And the first thing Bush did when he took Iraq was convert their oil sales back to dollars from the Euro - you fucking idiot. And since the dollar wasn't worth shit to Euro, the Iraqi's got fucked BILLIONS
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 I guess you dont know that the Clinton - Gore Administration had hired Halliburton for work in the Balkans too? Keep in mind, dolt, that Clinton was President BEFORE Bush, OK? Halliburton had won many contracts as low bidder, including low bid in 1993. Clinton -Gore Admin granted a no- bid contract to them too, in 1997 ( Guess who was CEO?, some guy who actually knows how to run something) Thats because they knew they were very competitive, and wanted them to continue.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 I told you yesterday I only had an 8th grade education. And this is the dumbest argument I've ever had. I never said these companies never pay taxes. All I said was that they're gaming the system. Now this shit is widely known throughout the world. Are you going to sit here and tell me everybody is wrong but you? Why do these companies have subsidiaries that don't physically exist listed? Is that just for Ha Ha's - or is it to lessen the tax burdon? The tax burdon we're stuck with.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 There are lots of people who know exactly what know. You just dont know any, dont read anything of importance, dont use your own fucking computer to look up anything, and do arithmetic. I will, if you desire, refer you to an article from Forbes, and it ought to shed light on this. They agree with Me. I`m just a You Tube schmuck, but, I really think you dont believe anything that doesnt meet your business hating mentality. Fuck business, raise taxes, regulate them strangle them. Die!
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 I don't use my computer to look up anything? I could've swore I sent you all kinds of information you skipped over and went on to the next thing. And do you really think I don't know how to do basic math? It takes a whole lot more than math to figure out the financials of a multi-national corporation. Besides, I'm the one with the 8th grade education, I'm allowed to not understand every aspect of a financial report. Show me the Forbs info you got.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 I will send it to you. First though, I want you to know that when I insult you, I am not insulting your education. Also, I just got my back operated on, and have been fucked up near 2 yrs so, I argue with Libs, kind of a hobby, and get insulted also, by you too. I may have started it, dont know. BUT, understanding some of a financial report is not beyond anyone who can divide numbers together. But, they are large numbers, you have to take care of decimals, many zeros. next coming
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 2nd part. You send me info, and sites about how corps dont pay taxes, for example. I agree, I know. You are correct. There are reasons, and most of them come down to a choice a corp must make. It is SIMPLE. Say that in California, tax rate is 20%, and Texas it is 0%. Say you own a business, and can choose where to set up. It is obviously far better to go to Texas, you keep 20% more, can expand faster, spend more on women, pay a Mgr better so you can go to the strip club.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 You know, I looked all over for an article about one of these healthcare insurance companies having an argument in the media with a senator in Washington about what they said they were making, and what they were really making. i WISH I could find it because it said what they were doing to make their profits look less than what they really were.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 CEO`s, upper MGT teams, all make bonus based on HIGH profit. Stocks, stock options, all these goodies depend on HIGH profit. Financial motivation is too OVERSTATE, not understate. The CEO`s, Mgt team hire the corporate accountants, but the Board hires auditors. What you are saying means CEO`s, mangers who want lower paychecks. I doubt it!
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 For the second time, I know how it works. But when you're an insurance company trying to jack up people's rates by 40%, you can bet your ass they're trying to claim poverty.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 Largest US health Ins co has 4% profit, Insurance in NOT where the cost is, Obama says it is because he knows thats what YOU think! Medical costs are the issue. Govt insurance, for poor people, doesnt pay what private insurance does. A fraction. The economic crisis caused people to lose jobs, lose their private plans. So they go from private paying a lot, to govt not paying, and revenue for Drs, hospitals collapses. They raised their prices to survive, and Ins co1s have to too!
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 I've been over this a hundred times already. Go through their financial reports from awhile back when the economy wasn't in the toilet and see what their profit margin is. I saw quarters more than double that 4%. And you say insurance isn't where the cost is? Are you now saying they don't have to grow that stock price every frigging quarter like the rest of them to justify those big bonuses / stock options etc etc.?
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 United Health, nations largest, made 6.1% profit 2007, 3.7% in 2008, ending Dec31. Whoopee! Got a $500/ mo policy, highest year, they made a $30 profit. Is that the kind of reduction you are hoping for? $30 on a $500 policy? Of course, you have to believe no profit makes sense first. Your not that big a pinko, are you? What profit DO YOU think appropriate? Sorry for the Pinko. Substitute " Liberal Gentleman". Pinko does save characters on you tube though.
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 Ha Ha - Whoopee! Got a $500/ mo policy, highest year, they made a $30 profit. Who am I talking with, the CEO of Goldman Sachs? Evrybody is crying poverty, including you. That single digit profit margin = hundreds of millions of dollars, so don't give me the 30 routine. And we all know what they do to grow those numbers every Qtr. drop coverage on sick people for bullshit reasons. Get people fired from their jobs when the get sick. You won't find me givin any love to insurance Co.'s
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 Hey Cheney, how come our healthcare costs are double the world for the same or less care? You see where we rank on the list. We're the only industrialized country that gives it's citizens shit healthcare. The only thing we're good at is emergency care. There's a lot of waste and fraud in our system, and the people are paying for it. And I think I told you about drug costs. Now there's something you can't cry poverty on. I'm pretty sure they got the highest profit margins of any Bizz
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 Looking at profit by % is the only way in perspective. If the return is too low, capital flows to better industries. It MUST be reasonable, and reality is far less than what you "feel" to be true. Govt was 50% of healthcare, before Obama. ( Fed and State) The Medicare, "MediCal" groups are huge, severely underpay for care, forcing providers to charge more to all others. Pfizer, US largest Pharma, 17.2% profit( 2009). Youre right higher profit. $500 pills could be $414 at zero profit
luvcheney1 1 year ago
@luvcheney1 And yes, Medical costs are an issue, too. Everybody's got a scam. I've been screwed over in the Hosiptal. The bastards charged 350 bucks to get a milk crate from the closet 5 feet away to see if I could step up when I broke my hip. I thought the girl was doing me a favor because she wanted to make sure I'd be able to get up the stairs into my house. Medicaid another rob the Govt. program. We got a lot of fraud in this country.
HemiHead66 1 year ago

HemiHead66 1 year ago

While the U.S. is a member of the U.N. it continues to act as the world police and mom and is the contributes the most to other countries in regards to disasters and relief at the expense off the tax payers. Get out and the other nations will be forced to do more on their part. My generation will never get social security and the government has borrowed against it to the point that cont.
penda3 1 year ago
@penda3 it will operate that way it was intended to. Phasing out social security benefits my generation and future generations due to the fact that money remains in paychecks rather than go to a system that fails to do what it was intended. The I.R.S is not American and the tax codes are so skewed that even the head of the head of the I.R.S needs someone else to do his taxes. It doesn't benefit the people when the I.R.S faces no penalties or consequences for mistakes yet cont
