This is one of those videos that proves that bears aren't as vicious as everyone thinks. They are much more interested in food or garbage than they are in attacking humans. Can they be dangerous? bears and humans live there in close proximity just for ages and rarely was ever heard of a severe attack on humans. they know how to live with each other they learnt it for yonks.

wildlife (6000 bears and 5000 wolfes) is under strict scrutiny and if there are problems (attaks on livestock) the animal will be captured and released in a more remote area.

Cats are evil when they really get angry. I have seen many big animals fleeing from a cat. I would do the same. Their temper and building makes them dangerous. They can jump and scratch your skin to blood in few seconds.  I know for a fact that a man got his whole chin opened because a cat attacked him. But it's mostly wild cats that attack humans.

To all who are against the uploader for laughing... They WERE terrified, right at the beginning, can you lot hear that one? They opened the window to call the cat in, but he had his own piece of mind. Thus, the whole, originally frightening charade turned into a hilarious one. The bear never intended to attack the cat, it was just curious about him... then scared :D

Way to go, cat! But yeah, living next to a forest, leaving him & the trash outside... not exactly a good idea. Still, awesome vid!

Very responsible of you to leave trash available to a bear. This is how they become too used to humans, and sadly have to be killed because of it. That cat did not "scare" the bear away, that bear was gonna leave with your garbage one way or another. If you live in a bears territory you should be more responsible than this!!!

Bear could have easiler killed or injured the cat at any point. You'd look mighty stupid laughing at your cat going after a bear if the bear turned around and clipped your cat for a few thousand dollars in medical bills -- not to mention having to see fluffy bleeding to death on your deck.

@TheAnonymouslyknown Yes... the bear looks like it didn't know what to do with the cat. Bears also often run from people and dogs. However, sometimes the bear isn't confused or just get's p'd-off. It's a wild animal. It is unpredicable. If it does... even a little cub like that one will easily kill the cat or run up thousands in medical bills. I wouldn't have opened the door, I wouldn't be laughing, and I wouldn't have a child watching it.
