Are you mental? Why not just sand down the sides when it's disassembled. You assembled it, only to disassemble it 1/3 of the way again to sand down the sides. Also you can sand down every side of every edge and corner when it's disassembled. Sorry, didn't mean to rant there but there's a much simpler method opposed to your repeating assemble/disassemble method
