  • I recently started getting shellac, and through your video, i now understand the process & the right way of taking care of my nails. Thank you.

  • Thank you for posting your techniques Catherine. You do great work!

  • @ttntn1095 Thank you so much! please enjoy my other nail videos.

  • @ttntn1095 Awsome work. And thanks for explaining the usage of solar oil. I have been reading many reviews on shellac and the major complaint is the white spots on the nail. I am very excited about this product. no more drilling on the natural nail bed

  • what was on the client? a clear shellac? I wish I could have seen this done with colored polish/shellac.

  • The video is great! Loved it. Thank you!

  • Ok, so I got shellac on my nails, because i was going on vacation and i wanted to look nice! BUT when i went in the hotel's pool, it all peeled off in one piece? did the chlorene do that?

  • @MrMrFunnybunny1 could be it was not applied correctly, I don't get that with my clients who go into the pool.

  • You don't say what the nails are being soaked in under the foil, and also do you have to put the foiled nails under heat??? i got mine done at a chinese salon and wasn't explained at all what shellac was or about any oil. I literally peeled the shellac off after 3 weeks!!!

  • @KaseyCakes1 I used acetone to soak the shellacs off, it should soak for ten minutes and then removed with an orange-wood stick. When done the correct way your nails should look healthy, they should never be peeled off or filed off because this makes your nails weak. The oil is to hydrate the nails and keep them from getting dry and brittle which makes nails break.

  • @kcabrera74 Ten mins.

  • @sewcrafty1 - And what do you use? pure acetone? It takes me about 3 hours to get my acrylics off!

  • @kcabrera74 I use acetone to remove the shellac polish, it is a soak off gel.

  • I liked your video. I have a question: do you use uv gel to protect your nails?

  • @ismar0530 actually I do, otherwise my polish would always mess up

  • @sewcrafty1 So you prefer the UV Gel top coat as to regular Top Coat? Can you explain indepth how it's better :)

  • @BabyK18316 for me it's better being I am always using acetone on my clients and my polish would just come off of my nails. UV gel has to be filed off, acetone can not remove it at all. This for my nails has been the best.

  • @sewcrafty1 Ah.... Is it hard to file off? Like if you don't have a nail filing drill :/

  • @BabyK18316 I just use my drill to take it off, but you can use a coarse file to remove it. I have to warn you though do not use the coarse file on your natural nail bed or you will thin them and they wll break and hurt you.

  • Did you use pure acetone? I use this method to remove glitter nail polish.

  • @rmcandlelight Yes I did

  • Hi! what cain of material did you put in it?

  • @cairo2662 CND shellac.

  • does it ruin ur natural nail like fake nails do??

  • @TheOPIaddict No that is why I show the after pictures so you can see how healthy they are if done correctly.

  • great..thanks

  • Thank you so much for this!! I've been wondering how to get it off without going to the salon :p

  • Thanks for the tutorial! ^_^
