The universe is billions of billions years before our solar (earth) was created. there are many galaxies out there as many stars in the nights sky. And our technologies have been invented or discovered only around 150 years or so. Can you imagine other civilazation that more adavnce than us like just 1 millions or billions ahead of us? Unfortunately the so called eyewitness testimony concerning the Phoenix lights is rather poor without further photographic evidence3. I know some people supposedly saw things like a V shaped object flying low over their neighbourhood in Phoenix. And others claim that the formation of lights traveled quite a distance. But I find it hard to believe that these other people couldn't be bothered to take a picture of their sightings. All we have is pic of lights,which are flares, deal with it.
Again flares would not stay in formation as they did.. (Specialist ARMY 4 yrs.) And yes i do believe in UFO's.. So you deal with it and your un-educated explanations..

The flaress were seen at approx. 10:30, where the object was seen at approx. 8:30. Also, flares do not fly in formation...they fall. Many witnesses say that the object flew directly over their homes and that they feel that they could have hit it with a rock if they tried. The single object had mass. It wasn't a series of flares at that specific time. Main stream science doesn't engage in UFO studies people like you place such a stigma on it.Galileo was imprisoned because he didn't fear.

Actually, Copernicus started the theory of heliocentrism, which was later proved by Galileo. I did not throw away the scientific process. I was simply drawing reference to a theory that was not yet proven by scientists of the time, which later was proven to be true, despite their past ridicule.

I think we should all consider the possibility that a life form millions of years ahead of us would have technology for interstellar travel. I mean, look how far we've gone in the last 100 years. And that's the problem with UFO buffs. Nobody says we're all alone. In fact, most of the scientific community would say confidently that there are indeed almost certainly "aliens" out there. What we say is that you don't say "I don't know what it is so it must be a UFO." First of all, if you knew what it was it wouldn't be unidentified. Secondly, what does an alien spacecraft look like ? Unfortunately the so called eyewitness testimony concerning the Phoenix lights is rather poor without further photographic evidence3. I know some people supposedly saw things like a V shaped object flying low over their neighbourhood in Phoenix. And others claim that the formation of lights traveled quite a distance. But I find it hard to believe that these other people couldn't be bothered to take a picture of their sightings. All we have is pic of lights,which are flares, deal with it.

Do some independant research and you will see that many credible witnesses have come forward testifying to the cover up and what they have seen. The flaress were seen at approx. 10:30, where the object was seen at approx. 8:30. Also, flares do not fly in formation...they fall. Many witnesses say that the object flew directly over their homes and that they feel that they could have hit it with a rock if they tried. The single object had mass. It wasn't a series of flares at that specific time. Main stream science doesn't engage in UFO studies people like you place such a stigma on it.Galileo was imprisoned because he didn't fear.

No. Science made an honest attempt to study UFOs, and found it to be a non issue. Science does not bend to popularity. It seeks truth. My loud mouth would not stop scientist from his/her desire to learn. So, it was a studied, found to be a non issue and thrown out with phrenology, psychic powers, levitation, astrology, and dousing for water. UFOs were given the scientific process and failed over and over, just like perpetual motion; they are a dream of the ignorant, and the bane of real science.

Making fun of the subject doesn't make it less real. People once laughed at the idea of heliocentrism, the theory that the earth orbits the sun...now we know that as fact.

Yes a Scientist came up with that therory (Heliocentrism) this thereory was later proven by Copernicus another scientist (so a therory was proven by scientific process) You quote a scientist's discovery and then throw out the scientific process when it no longer suits your argument. Actually, Copernicus started the theory of heliocentrism, which was later proved by Galileo. I did not throw away the scientific process. I was simply drawing reference to a theory that was not yet proven by scientists of the time, which later was proven to be true, despite their past ridicule.
That being said, the absence of evidence does not equate to evidence of absence. Debunkers have zero evidence to prove their position.

The cow molestatation statement is not fair. I would not traverse the universe to simply molest a cow. That statement was simply a tactic to elicit a reaction. I am not trying to prove alien abduction nor cow mutilation. I am trying to prove the existence of a communicative species other than our own.
As for proof, there is much out there; trace evidence, expert testimony from government, military and intelligence officials.

The fact that Shermer is a well respected Psychologist is a FACT not an opinion (unless you have evidence to the otherwise). second, what does "technology" have to do with "distance". Do you know of a technology that can break Einstein's cosmic speed limit (speed of light)? As for "all" the crashed spaceships where are they? I will admit that a advanced civilization would have better technology than us. But again the stories of abduction and sightings don't make sense. For example they erase your memories (however not very well since people still remember them apparently) to conceal themselves yet fly around at night lit up like christmas trees. Where is the logic in that? Not to mention the experiments they do make no biological sense, like alien/human hybrids...

I can find just as much evidence for fairies, demons and God, should I believe in those things to because many people report them? Gullible is defined as easily deceived or duped- there is no scientific component in the definition. Is it possible that these things exist without belief? Logic is an evolutionary stage in human intellectual development, not an end point for intelligence. Just as superstition used to rule the day, a time will come when logic is outmoded. The question is- do alien visitations exist because YOU are able to think of HOW they exist, or do they exist without your understanding?

Logic is the corner stone of intelligence. How can the brain process stimuli with it. Logic is hard wired and to compare it to 'superstition' makes no sense. Superstition is social, logic is psychological and is no doubt hard wired into the brain. Also, you point about alien visits existing outside of my understanding is a somewhat lame play on words. Anyway, as I was stating, lets look at some of the stupid things found in things like abduction. First. the whole alien human hybrid thing is foolish. Aliens would have come from a different planet with a different evolution than ours. It would be almost impossible to fuse our DNA with theirs. Also, they have a technology to traverse the stars, but when they get to earth they crash. Perhaps they should develop a new technology, one that won't leave them on their alien behinds...

I have been into UFO's for a long time and I have come to the conclusion that most of the celebrated cases (ROSSWELL, BENTWATERS, ECT...) are beyoud improbable. Although Shermer may have been a little condescending he does have a point: Science requires REAL evidence, not the crap that people like Friedman bring to the table. People once believed they saw witches, that dosen't mean they did... Skepticism is too rare.

Science is always growing, which means it always has things it doesn't know and always needs a lot of time to establish facts. This is fair, but it means the facts exist before they are proven.

Again, as I stated the alien folklore states that much of the alien space ships have crash in the US. Look at other countries and they don't seem to have this myth in them. Especially counties like Asia. Again, as the famous line goes: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence... The evidence points to a mystery, however there is no 'smoking gun', we should be at least honest about that...

Two things that aliens/ETs/UFOs must own to be the real deal: Inertia canceler and wormhole generator. If they don't own these things, then they are not the real deal.
to go from 100,000 MPH to 0 MPH, you need an inertia canceler. To travel from Zeta reticuli to Earth, you need a wormhole generator, unless you want to take a 46 year trip
