  • cool as shyt !!!

  • piece of shit!feminists version is the best cover by far

  • cool. didnt know that one.thanks

  • Nunca imaginei sepultura curtindo DEVO. Mas considerando que até Nirvana curtia DEVO, não é de se estranhar...

  • Best cover is by demolition hammer

  • I compared Devo's version versus Sepultura and...Devo for the win! Rage metal sucks the life out of this song. Screaming lyrics does nothing to enhance the song at all. All of you die hard metal heads had better eat 50 habaneroes and scream on the toilet at 3am instead of trying to translate this Devo track.

  • @drogoscg1

    What the fuck's "rage metal"?

Metal isn't just screaming you know, stop trying to pigeonhole it you fucking bieberphile

  • @drogoscg1 check out the millionaire version ; )

  • @drogoscg1 If this was exact cover of the Devo version there would be no point in doing it at all. Sepultura put their spin on it and that`s all i look for in a cover.

  • Q cabrón, excelenteeeeee! aunq no se con q versión me quedo! de puta madre! =)

  • I found this cover kinda boring. There wasn't much musicality to it, just a riff and some screaming. Coulda. shoulda been better.

  • @drogoscg1 you must be deaf ^^

  • Ranxerox Music

  • personally I think the Demented Are Go cover of this song is better, every version is pretty different though.

  • Foda

  • Holy dicknipples, I didn't expect it to sound like a garage punk song, I kinda like it though

  • What a beautiful angry cover

  • Viva la invalides mentales

  • Metal mastery of the New Wave Gods DEVO, 81 people aren't happerier than you or me...

  • @SCyberTaz

So are you suggesting that 473 of us are mongoloids?

  • @SupperOfTheMightyOne Nah, just that they're incapable of rocking out with their spuds out...

  • @SupperOfTheMightyOne Nah, just that they're incapable of rocking out with their spuds out... The dislikes that is, the Likes come from all over

  • I dedicate this song to all Turks & Albanians!

  • Devo always was punk. It just required imagination.

  • i think i want to be a Mongoloid, maybe like a poser mongoloid at 1st

  • Dammitt I was gonna do a metal version of this tune!!!! Ok, guess I'll try Blockhead!!!

  • Two of my favorite bands in one. This is what happiness sounds like.

  • Sepultura is so awesome without max !!!

  • @3400titus You're in denial.

  • @3400titus Bull'

you just have broken ears. Probably from when Max broke you in

  • I found this due to my love for DEVO but I like many genres and a good song is a good song provided you don't have narrow interests in music. This version kicks ass as an example of a metal song. A song or cover doesn't automatically "suck" because you don't like a certain type of music.

  • sepultura without max is so awesome!

  • @3400titus Shut up, Derek.

  • blablabla

  • MOLE 1138 , IT would be fun to see live . Sepultura is metal Devo ? I heart them

  • This blows chunks! Sounds like the lead singer is gargling with battery acid.

Totally trashes the DEVO Original (one of my favorite songs from the 80s).

  • @Lalo3001 Oh lighten up. While I agree that this doesn't even hold a candle to the Devo version you have to consider the respectful implications of the cover song. Sepultrura is a well established and respected band in their genre and covering a song (especially on an album) is one of the biggest signs of respect one musician can show another.

  • this is crap

  • @themoz3

    screw you

  • one of the best!

  • Ficou bom esse som, o Sepultura é a melhor banda brasileira até hoje, os caras mandam muito bem.

  • Having followed DEVO since 1979 I can tell you that they WERE around since the "early 70's". Get a search engine, lazy.

  • this is so not awesome

  • It's not Sepultura without Max. This is better than any other non-Max Sepultura.

  • @SamHagagaga "Fly..something" fan?

  • @SamHagagaga So true.

  • Devo aint Punk their DEVO

  • @NaziBalle It was Chaos 88 and they did a great version. Oi! Oi!

  • what i like about cover songs like this is that it shows that Sepultura listens to Devo, and i'm sure a whole lot more. hell, some metal guitarist listen to classical music. why? because true musicians love music and realize that complexity and detail exist in any form.

  • @Alphabex8 you are so right !!!

  • @Alphabex8 '...because true musicians love music and realize that complexity and detail exist in any form'

Yeah, thats exactly what it is like... i'm listenig music since 16 years now.. first it was only german hip hop then i went to 'dancehall' music D&B metall EBM later classic and even goa and minimal elektro.. now as i am 30 years old i discover doo wop... true music comes from the heart .. who ever is a feeling beeing will understand all kinds of good music ... just dance <3

  • @1n1a1m1e1s German Hip Hop? can you give me a name? but seriously, thanks for the reply :)

  • @Alphabex8 now, finally i collected some german hip hop in a playlist on my channel.

  • @Alphabex8 Amen to that...I never understand people who listen to only one genre like true fucking soldiers...They are missing a lot of good shit going on.

  • @Alphabex8 Amen, brother. Amen!

  • @HendrixRules27 : )

  • @Alphabex8 well said.

  • @Alphabex8 yeah and now sepultura is this disgusting worthless crap band. so this is bullshit. there must be only heavy.

  • OH FUCKIN HELL YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!

  • My god, people forget Devo was from the early 70s, they were PUNK, compare them to david cassidy or the other rot that infested the radio.

And to answer mpfw, the Grateful Dead are one of the best bands ever, they actually play, their albums are played in the same way they did in concert, one time thru, no back up tracks, same settings on the equip they use in concert. Also, they were on tour about 1/2 the year, every year. It's too bad you didn't get to see them and appreciate them,

  • @glidingpig Dave Transylvanian & Mink DeVille, anyone?

  • @glidingpig

devo was not from the "early 70's" you ignorant fuck.

  • @xisotopex

    yes they were retard

  • @xisotopex Devo (pronounced /ˈdiːvoʊ/ DEE-voh, originally /diːˈvoʊ/ dee-VOH)[1] is an American band formed in Akron, Ohio, in 1973

  • @glidingpig

devo was not from the "early 70's" you ignorant fuck.

and fuck the greatful dead. i will be grateful when they are dead.

  • @xisotopex Devo started in 1973!

  • ¿Did anyone watch the movie "Ex Drummer"? A band of handicapped punks make a cover of this song... I didn't know Sepultura had it, but it's pretty awesome.

  • the grandad of punk iggy pop called devo punk, you cant argue with that

  • devo rule, sepultura v1 rule, sepultura v2 rule. fuk all you whiney bitches

  • BULLSHIT!!! NO MAX + IGOR NO SEPULTURA!!!

  • @vasiliskannas

no brain = no mind = no life = no valid opinion

  • ah hell yeah

  • great. fucking great

  • i loved it , but the singer scares me alittle

  • original and millionaires cover are much better. not sepultura stuff

    хуета короче эта ваша сепультура

  • I'm more punk than all you bitches! D:<

*Shoves syringes full of heroin into both his eyeballs, runs away shrieking*

  • @Hakudohshi Go watch spongebob squarepants and don`t bother us

  • sucks

  • @zuzarte1

    i agree

  • i like demented are go! version...

  • AWESOME.

  • like the guitar solo

  • Add another awesome band that made a Devo cover.

  • Is there any bad version of this song?

  • this is pure genious...interesting thing is that every version of this song kicks ass no matter who covered it

  • sepultura si cavalera apesta,

    pero este cover es genial

  • WOW!!! I was just watching DEVO videos and I found this..I had zero idea that Sepultura ever did a cover of this!? This is fucking kick-ass!!! Thanks for the upload!!!

    (+ !!!

  • Excellent, early Sepultura brutal forever

  • not as good but its ok,

  • That doesn't sound like Max.

  • @haycroft

    maybe because it´s not Max

  • @haycroft that is cuz it is Derrick Green at least it sounds like him

  • louie louie or surfin burd, you could claim either as "first" punk songs...punk is an ATTITUDE. nowt to do with sticky up hair, studs, or any of that Rancid style SHITE. bring it on.

  • great version!!

  • This should have been on the "We Are Not DEVO" tribute album.

  • ...woot...

  • NIiice

  • burp!

  • That's stuff! Sepultura the best group! Max, RUSSIA with you!

  • Comment removed

  • Demolition Hammer did an awesome cover of this on the album "Time Bomb".

  • God, this is terrible.

  • wow!

  • this has to be the best devo cover i have ever heard!!!!

  • sepultura.....the spirit of brasil

  • which album is this from ?

  • @douchebag21 Sepultura covered the song on their 2002 Revolusongs EP.

  • Devo are more punk than current Green Day anyway

  • @cathalc08 I agree

  • @cathalc08 Haha, truly spoken my friend. I think that roughly calculated everyone's more punk than current Green Day

  • Sepultura sounds like Nirvana

  • @MISTERnoTIMEforYOU NOT!! AND IF ANYTHING SOUNDS LIKE ANYTHING IT WOULD BE NIRVANA LIKE SEPULTURA GOD FUCKIN DAMN IT.

  • @N277WA

    sorry man

this was the second guy who uses this account

of course sepultura doesn`t sound like nirvana

  • Fantastica !!

  • What is this, I don't even-

  • Excellent, We used to sing this to each other as kids!, never new seps covered it!

  • i think mongoloid is overrated i never really liked it that much uncontrollable urge is better

  • I always kinda liked Sepultura, but after hearing this I have to say, I definitely respect them now. =P

  • Yeah!Punks not dead!

    Hi from Russia!

  • es un temaso!ª!!

  • subgenius represent

  • why would a metal band NOT cover new wave, not a sepultura fan or a big devo fan but this is great

  • Devo was very influential in the hardcore punk scene. Their early stuff especially.

  • @terminaldeity for sure!! Devo and the Misfits helped spawn me and my buddys back in the day to start a punk band.

  • @ReRemixedLive why not?

  • Why would a metal band cover Joan Baez? (Diamonds and Rust)

Why not cover a good song even if it is in a different genre?

  • have you ever heard "NEW WAVE TRIED TO KILL THE METAL.. BUT THEY FAILED AS THEY WERE STRICKEN DOWN TO THE GROUND"

  • Never heard it. But then I'm not really a metal fan. I'm a music fan, so I enjoy good stuff from many genres, including metal.

  • New Wave was apart of the music that kind of drowned metal out in the 80s-90s... well, almost did through trend and pop culture but metal came back pretty strong and new wave died lol

  • Oh I know what new wave is. I recall when punk hit the scene in the later 70s (Stranglers, Clash, Television, etc.) as well as new wave. Devo was in the late 70s early 80s (I saw them in 82). Lots of musical genres ebb and flow in popularity.

  • @theonlytruepunk yeah in a california parking lot .. punk had some good shit but today its all fucking faggots who forgot what punk was all about.. pussy ass punk bitch

  • @ReRemixedLive You are right...but seriously metal really blows!! It is as pathetic as the newer "punk" shit that is out there. In other words we should try to find some good music and ditch all this bullshit music that is around these days.

  • @theonlytruepunk whoah there dude. I am an english punk but I respect Sepultura. A lot more than most metal bands anyway. Their cover of 'drug me' is awesome. You're right though, most metal sucks.

  • @eraserhead321 Oh yeah...I love Sepultura!!!!!! I also love System of a Down. Most metal sucks dick.

  • @theonlytruepunk sod isnt metal silly

  • @1787dude SOAD rule!

  • @ReRemixedLive You fucking hippie loving, makeup wearing, dildo! Your music sucks as much as your mother...hahaha

  • calls me a dildo then insults my mother.. just another ten year old troll.. i regret giving you any attention, figured you had some dignity but nah, you're obviously a little kid mind and body

  • @ReRemixedLive No, seriously. You are a dildo and I do bang your mom. You should grow up, moron!

  • @theonlytruepunk pink motherfucker punk will never drown out metal regardless.. punk may as well be called screamo these fdays hahaha

  • @ReRemixedLive You're a homo!

  • @Be2Ni Who the fuck are you talking to, dildo?? I have been into Devo since the '70's and love Sepultura...so what is your point, assface!!

  • @Be2Ni While I wouldn't consider Devo to be punk, it was definitely post-punk and tightly related to a lot of the same big names of the previous punk era (that lasted only about 4 years). I see a ton of punks around where I am wearing devo shirts all the time.

  • @Be2Ni dude punk is alive as the form of dance punk. I guess you listen to the radio and billboard top ten, that may be the reason you don't know that punk is still alive. Furthermore Devo has punk elements, they sure as hell are not your normal new wave band. Anyways I am sure this guy knew it wasn't a new song.

  • @Be2Ni Hell yeah dude, Devo is totally punk. More punk than a lot of what passes for punk these days and certainly one of the seminal U.S. punk bands. The term "punk" has been appropriated by corporate music and redefined very narrowly in order to better foster niche marketing. Take a look at the diversity of bands put out by early independent punk labels -SST, Touch and Go, hell, even Dischord. It wasn't just a sound, it was an ethos shared by a wide range of bands.

  • @mpfw Perhaps you are the one who is narrowly defining what Devo is.

  • @gswanson That logic doesn't work. I said that punk is a very broad term encapsulating a multitude of styles and very diverse range of talent. Example: Both The Minutemen and The Misfits are punk. However, the former band's style is incorporates elements of funk, hardcore and R&B while the latter band is a mix of hardcore, goth and rockabilly. The former band is far more technically proficient than the latter. However BOTH bands shared a DIY approach and a general rebellious ideology.

  • @gswanson By saying Devo is punk I'm merely saying that, musically, they were rebelling against popular trends in rock, incorporating synths and a style of rigid formalism, that was defying the "organic" and "jammy" style of the 60s and 70s exemplified by ghastly acts The Grateful Dead. What's more, lyrically, they were satirically attacking the conservative politics of the 80s. Devo has long been associated with the punk movement.

  • @mpfw very true

  • @mpfw You're very right. A lot of things can characterize a band as Punk. The message, vocal style, structure, Image, and most importantly their goal as a band.

  • @mpfw You sir/madam have hit the nail on the proverbial head, the ghastly grateful dead that should of been their full band name too ; )

  • @Be2Ni sepultura isn't punk either, but the song is, punks not dead, just resting!

  • @Be2Ni but the song sounds like punkrock...

  • @Be2Ni - devo was considered punk in their time. since then, the definition has narrowed, defined and compartmentalized and boxed for mass consumption by marketing moguls. whatever was f-in weird was considered punk, not just the guitar driven hardcore that came later. that's from a survivor of the DC Hardcore scene in the 80s.

  • @Be2Ni It might sound wrong to you today, but yeah Devo was definitely considered punk back in the 70s when this WAS current.

  • @Be2Ni Devo was punk in the early 70s, but they were also extremely obscure back then. They became popular after becoming New Wave. At the moment, punk is alive and kicking by subverting other genres... namely metal. Ugh. Metalcore.

  • @browncoat697 i agree, but i also think part of their philosophy was to make fun of things like putting music into neat little categories... mostly so they can be marketed. Let's do ourselves a favor by stopping that ugly trend.

  • @browncoat697 not all metalcore is bad there are a few good bands but sadly none of them are mainstream (with and exceptions for bullet for my valentine and a day to remember they're tolerable). look up shai hulud's this wake myself hath stirred it's a pretty badass song

  • @Be2Ni devo are old school punk man

  • @Be2Ni DEVO = proto-punk look it up

  • @theonlytruepunk dont listen to that prick punk he obviously doesnt know shit... bands like devo and b52s were very punk rock in te 70s

  • @theonlytruepunk ... where?

  • @theonlytruepunk - Punk is 25 years old. You're being kind of reactionary.

  • @GlorifiedTruth The year is 2010..."punk" rock was in full swing in 1977...therefore you are a glorified turd. Punk is 33 years old...dumbass! If you want to delve even further back. MC5 and the Stooges were around in 1968...and I count them as being the forerunners of the "punk" genre.

  • @theonlytruepunk - D'oh. That's what happens when I try to do math in my head.

  • @GlorifiedTruth You should let your mom do the math for you...hahaha
