If the infection plaguing Detroit spreads to the rest of the country, Americans regardless of color will be considered as has-been people and the world's ******s.
What's industry do we have left that can use this location, it's people, and the infrastructure? If GM (or the BIG THREE) built/destroyed it, than what industry or innovation exists out there that is picking up the pieces? Many cities that were once in peril reinvented themselves.. GM destroyed the rail transportation (especially the street cars/LRV), and they are now reappearing and breathing life into once devastated towns... Just a thought here, it appears we've lost our ways..
I like this video, it has a hopeful quality to it. It kind of feels like Detroit rising. Do you want to make Detroit better? What would you get rid of first?
i dont get why cars and government vehicles are just left lying around surely there were worth something..unlike pripyat chernobyl which were contaminated by radioactivity.. im sure there is a resonable explanation for all this...

Feels like that movie, the langoliers. Time has passed this place, all that is left are the Langoliers.

The "reasonable" explanation is that Detroit is a failed city, run by a corrupt local government that is overwhelmed by blight and crime.
