  • Hes so cute hahahah xD

''my english understandu? '' loving his smile ;)

  • It looks like the technique shares the same basis as chinese noodle pulling

  • is that sarcasm?

  • One is from korea, one is from germany, both speak english. Good to know i'll understand the world wherever i go

  • @Strawbz7209 Very rare that most people will speak English that well. Most will speak very broken English and if you have any accent it makes it a lot harder. I've been to Switzerlan and most people didn't speak English (They have 4 other national languages).

  • Looks simple ..but I cant count 2x2x4x8...

  • rolling rolling rolling so funny.

     this candy is really good

  • Lol he's awesome. But I think everything he said is scripted cuz this is a franchise or something

  • @JDFromSac That's true, but he has the most personality and uniqueness out of all of them.

  • @MayoPie indeed

  • ZOMG he is like straight from anime or something lol, He reminds me of Simon from Durarara!!! And He is freaking adorable!!!

  • WHY IS HE SO CUTE

  • This kid can now be seen back-flipping to Kim Jong-il's death!

  • He does well with the patter here.

Pity that the same script is found in other vids, complete with the "honey, so very hard *tap tap*", "little by little stretching stretching", all the "wows", counting and clapping.

Still, it's a pretty amazing creation.

  • Funny, cool and crazy ! =)

  • прикольно ^_^

  • This is a Honeeeeyyy... honeyyyyy... german honey!!!!

  • @happiness - this is an nice example of happiness at work, he surely sells well!

  • hot damn

  • Am I missing the point of what everyone else seems to be whining about? Does the one single strand not become 16,000 individual strands when he separates them all into the 10 separate little containers?

  • This guy is fucking inspiring.

  • he is very inspiring. does his job happily, well delivered show, reach to customer and take attention. very good.

  • OMG, so cool. When I go to Korea, I will search for this exact same market place and eat there.

  • if i legit met this guy selling this stuff on the streets, id give him 20 just for his great enthusiasm and humor!! (:

  • "1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096. 8192, 16(384)"

Proof that Asians are good at math.

  • omg,he's so cute <3

  • he says 1 plus 2 is 4.. but there are only 2 strings.. his count is off. dumbass

  • @meinbrazil lol he counted "1, 2" then "2 + 2 = 4", your hearing is what's off

  • @Zaxington maybe my hearing is off, but so is his counting. he says there are four strings but there are only 2.. retard

  • @meinbrazil When he begins he says "strings, one and two" while holding out both his hands. This means he's considering one loop to be two strings- if you draw out a loop you get two strings side by side, connected at their ends. Then he doubles it, so he has two loops but four strings. You could argue that he makes a mistake in his English given that the strings are connected (so they aren't really separate) but come on, man. He speaks English, Korean and German. Do you speak his language?

  • @Arkady22 So what you're saying is one loop = 2 strings? Nope don't think so. Go grab some real string and tie the ends together 1 string=1 loop. At 2:15 when he is showcasing his "16000" strings he only shows one side of the loop.

  • @meinbrazil This is insinuating that there are 16000 stings in that side, which there are not, there are 8000. And if I really want to be critical, there is actually only 1 string in a continuous loop until he cuts it in half, which at that point there would be 8000 strings. I'm right, you're wrong, deal with it.

  • @meinbrazil Are you trying to be puerile or do you really not get it? Tie two strings to each other at their ends and that also gives you one loop. In this video he clearly considers one drawn out loop to be two strings side by side (1:32). Try it this way- he starts off assuming an initial value of one loop = 2^1 strings (again, 1:32) then performs thirteen doubling iterations (1:35 - 2:10). 2^14 strings = 16384 strings. He also straightens twice without doubling to demonstrate (1:55 and 2:12).

  • @Arkady22 i think you are the one who is not "getting it". He doesn't tie to strings together. he has one loop, one string. And what he "considers" is completely wrong. I may consider myself the fastest runner in the world. Am i? NOPE. Stop trying to prove your belief of what is happening here and start looking at the facts. You'll then see that you are grasping at strings (pardon the pun) and I am correct. Everyone else can see that, why can't you?

  • @meinbrazil Possibly because it isn't true? You're comment ignores everything I said and boils down to "I'm right, I'm right, everyone says so". I have looked at facts. I have made my case. You have offered no valid rebuttal. If you can't see that a drawn loop can be considered as two connected parallel strings (which he clearly- and correctly- assumes at 1:32), then I am wasting my time arguing with you.

I'm running out of room. I'll post more in the next comment.

  • @Arkady22 There are technically no strings in a loop- a loop is infinite. If you want to consider it as a series of discreet lines, you have to define the number of end points in the series. You can see here he could consider it two by drawing it out in either hand (which he does), or three by getting a third point and drawing the loop into a triangle, four by putting it into a square, etc.

My point is that the number of strings in a loop is by definition only. There is no one value.

  • @Arkady22 Since he is drawing it out between his hands, we can consider this to be adding two points to a circle to create two distinct forms- one loop, two strings (more appropriately, one circle, two line segments). The number of finite strings in an infinite loop is by definition only, and he clearly defines his value as two.

I guess I should apologize for the "puerile" comment. I still think I'm right... but I never meant for this to get offensive. Can we argue without fighting?

  • @Arkady22 Both of you: what the hell???? He breaks the damn loops, and then has finite "ends", and 16,000.....and who cares? Point being its "yummy", "wooooooow", and this guy creates happiness. So stop ruining it with arguments over counting! Go to some boring science video for that, leave this one for its simple mesmerizing pleasure.

  • Awwww he's so cute and happy<3

  • Watching this video always improves my day.

  • omg he's so cool! i wanna find him in korea!! lols

  • Wow, his English is fantastic for just middle school english. It's so adorable.

  • He is so cuteee :D

  • I can't stop watching this...

  • Out of all the others i have seen this one has to be my fav

  • I wanna see this in real life!

  • I will never be at anything as this man is at making the king's dessert. T_T

  • xDD So cute. I want some!

  • very, very YUMMY ^_^

  • This guy is awesome.

    Middle school graduate.

English secondary language this much is very great.

You tell me what you can do.

  • Dx omg I wanna hug him!!! He's so adorable!!!

  • that's not honey :p

  • @shishibaka its honey mixed with something that I can't remember right off the top of my head and then fermented for a few days

  • @poohbear5050 it's water, sugar, glucose and white vinegar :p iam a pastry chef, i make it sometimes... it's very difficult to master, i cannot make so many layers.

  • @shishibaka i saw a show last night, i believe it was the same guy making it. he said it was honey and some kind of root starch that was fermented. It's probably like just about everything else and there's a hundred different recipes for it depending on families, regions, and personal preference.

  • @shishibaka glutinous rice flour and honey... finally remembered it... not a root starch

  • @poohbear5050 hi i'm korean . you are exactly right ^^

  • @pionttarius Hi. Im american. I dont care.

  • @shishibaka trust me, it cannot be honey :p they call it honey because when you make it it looks like it is (it's an "INVERTED SUGAR"), but you create this honey. and yes, the starch is rice, to prevent all the threads from sticking. they make the same in arabian countries, but they use corn starch.

  • omg he's so cute... perfect husband *_*

  • WUHOOOOOOW

  • i love tis guy makes me think of the chief from the muppits cuz he just keeps talk all happy like :D

  • Give him his own cable show

  • That's why I love english! Makes it really easy to communicate with people all over the world!

  • That guy is awesome! I'd like to see him schwasted!

  • WOW rook at that!

  • @zhannna28 - when you first eat it, it's dry and feels a little like a wheat cereal. Then it starts to melt and it's sweet and chewy with crunchy nuts inside.. peanuts, walnuts, almonds.. your choice.

Ah, I ate a box once just while watching them make it in Insadong, Seoul.. so good!

  • Here in Korea it's hard to find guys that age that are happy with their jobs, even if it's just part time 알바. I feel like an old guy because "FUCKING KIDS THESE DAYS!" Most kids in Korea aged around 25 are self-entitled, shameless pricks living off their parents.

  • @inuyashaspet oh, he's only in middle school. He's probably a bright kid with a part-time job during winter break.

  • You will never be this happy about your job.

  • @Shurekien sadfrog.jpg

  • WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

  • I swear, what i would give to have that much energy.

  • WOOOOOW

  • he's good with multiplication..i guess all koreans are good with multiplication..keke

  • @AfiQX93

It seems a lot more impressive than it is, you've got to remember this is something he does all the time and he only has 14 "steps" up to 16000 out of which most of them are trivial if you've ever dealt with 2^n before

What I do think is impressive though is the names of the things in a different language, I would expect English, I guess German is a common language, Germany is the largest country in Europe, still surprised me though.

  • @Viruzzz okay. you try multiplying like that.

  • @StandCalifornia He's not multiplying, he's reciting from memory, as would anyone who uses uses that string of numbers often.

As far as me trying to do it, I can do up to 4096 without any calculating, and on top of that, it's the simplest kind of multiplication you can do, It's just double the previous number.

I bet if he stated with 3 (or 6, cause 3 would be impossible with a loop) strings instead, he couldn't do it at the same speed

  • Comment removed

  • @Viruzzz Judging from a recent Facebook poll, the mathematical skills in the States are seriously lacking.

  • @Viruzzz Doubling 4096 shouldn't be that tricky thanks to that zero. The 8192 might make things a bit tougher, but still.

  • love this guy!

  • this kids got a lot of Seoul.

  • cha cha cha cha chaa

  • Echt cooler Typ.

  • This guy is so happy. Its contagious joy!

  • @GuitarBizarre You'll find that Seoul is a very happy place

  • hear that goat @ 0:06?

  • seriously though where are his gloves?

  • @NguyenJack567 if your hands are clean you don't need gloves. chefs never wear gloves, they just wash often and don't touch their face or anything dirty.

  • Honey and corn starch; I gotta at least try to make this stuff!! :-p

  • 5000 South Korean won = 4.2922 US dollars

  • I wish we had people like that in the streets of my city. He's so ridiculously charming!

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA very funny.

  • waooaoooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • What's with all the posts about him being a human calculator? he didn't exactly do anything complicated, he just kept doubling numbers.. relatively small numbers at that

  • It is actually 8192. He starts with two when there is only one string. Maybe he cuts the "loop" itno two pieces and combines them or something... Then it would be 16384.

  • @TheRex042 Well he was probably rounding it up. He rounded up each flip

  • that guy is a human calculator!!

  • Okay, now I know that human calclulaters are real.

  • Whoa!... Whoa!...Whoa! damn all that for a buck fiffty?!

  • "Whoa! Whoa!"

  • "punch, make a whore"

    WHAT

  • I just want to High-Five that guy :D

  • Programmer's sweets

  • I was sad to see that pretty much everything he said is the companies pre determined skit to sell the candy, but he does put a good personal spin on it that makes this video more interesting than the others.

  • БлЯАААААЗЬ!!!

  • He's talking like a host of a children's show. lol... I suddenly feel like my IQ went waaaaayyy down
