@markyramonefan Thanks Markyramonefan. Marky is one of the best...but only the 3rd of 5. Joey was actually "thee" bands first drummer (one whole show) before moving to vocals. Next was Tommy. Marky was next, followed by Ritchie, Clem Burke and back to Mawkie again. This was the only instrument Joey "played", not including his voice. Only super fans got it???

Wow, not good. The chord sequence was very un-Ramones like, not to mention too slow. Second of all, Johnny did NOT play pansy "power chords", where you only need to hold down 3 notes at a time. He almost EXCLUSIVELY held down all six strings, the much tougher BARRE chord shape. He didn't always strum all 6 strings, it depended on the part, but when he did there was alot more tonality than you'll hear with just power chords. This guy could never thrash away at barre chords for an hour plus!

BARRE chords! People can't expect to learn how to play like Johnny by watching videos like these. I agree with jmf131313 when he said that you have to actually watch Johnny play to understand what he's doing. That's how I learned, and now I can play Loco Live almost all the way through without stopping, and it sounds pretty fuckin' close. I'd recommend watching their live videos, and pay close attention to the angle of Johnny's strumming hand. It helped me a lot.

If you want to play like Johnny Ramone then watch footage of Johnny Ramone! Contrary to what this video tells you, Johnny did not play power chords - he played barre chords (which is more difficult).
