can you believe there are people on this planet that live in the middle of a concrete jungle and never get out to see mother nature at its finest. i must say it had to have been an honour to have these gigantic sharks in your presence. very cool, definetly one for the bucket list!
it is true that these sharks are for the most part harmless. i was swimming out in myrtle beach a couple of days ago and a sand tiger about 6-7 feet long swam within 3 yards of me. it was moving extremely slow just like the sharks in this video. dont get me wrong i was still a little freaked out but he showed no aggression.
ya when i was in Cuba i went scuba diving with those sharks, the one i saw was about 3 meters long (about 9 feet) I was close enough to touch it. there mouths arnt even that big and it was really passive there a harmless unless provoked. but i was scared
its true, sand tigers look scarey but they are very pleasant sharks...do NOT swim with the sharks that have famously bad attitude however, such as regular tiger sharks or bull sharks....basically any shark that regularly eats mammals should be avoided, but these sharks eat absolutely nothing but fish
These sharks are around most the wrecks hear in NC common feature and fun to dive with the bull sharks get little bit of threatening at times but sand tigers seems to be peaceful enough
if you like sharks check out adoptashark(dot)com online where you can adoptashark that has a satellite tag and then they tell you where it went and how deep etc, very cool
I have an Ocean Images housing and a Sony MiniDV camcorder. There is no rental video camera but I think you can rent still cameras through Aquatic Safaris.
Fantastic video. I dove this same wreck and the Markham 7/30/06 and saw the same sharks. It was awesome and your video is fantastic 5 stars! My still pictures didn't turn very well, too much backsplatter.

Very calm breathing considering your company.
Most people would of sucked the air tank dry in two minutes with those boys buzzing overhead.
