  • everytime i listen to this cover of the dragonborne song it g ives me ultra chills

  • Vvardenfell is still an ugly place. That's probably why I preferred Oblivion.

  • Amazing ...

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • So do you need morrowind or oblivion for this mod ?

  • @Arcadia117

    Morrowind. It's Morrowind mod.

  • @Arcadia117 are you serious :)?

  • @Arcadia117 You need morrowind.

  • Side note, this mod does a lot more then just change the way the game looks (which it can do in a huge amount of ways from different types of grass, trees, skies, weather, etc.) to how the game is actually played. From running to combat and such this is a must have for anyone who still plays the game. It made a huge difference and as much as I love the vanilla for personal reasons, I couldn't imagine playing without this now. Thanks to the people that made this, it basically installed itself!

  • Thats not to say that Morrowind is bad, I just think people oversell it because its their childhood, im sorry to say this but you can't go back you know, you will never experience that kind of wonder ever again because your too cynical and worldly now. Its time to move on and judge things by their own merit.

  • Morrowind+improved graphics+improved combat= pure awesome

  • wow. these comments are the dumbest in the history of youtube.

  • Morrowind will always have a place in my heart.

  • Ok, I bought Morrowind since most nostalgics say it is superior to everything and it looked really interesting. So I tryed to download this mod but all i got was the 1.0 version and the installguide didn´t make any sense because it is for the newest release, 2.0.1 (I think). So I´m looking for a download of the newest release, he who provides me with a link is awesome.

  • @scorpgul Hey, I heard there's a Justin Bieber concert in the nearest town! You should head over there since that's the only music you like! :D

  • @scorpgul Sorry there's no Lady fucking Gaga playing for you. Maybe you could just mute the video and play that Justin Bieber or Hip Hop song instead?

  • I have all four files in my data files, but they don't appear when I open the actual morrowind games. Yes, data files under morrowind under common under steamapps. The "Data Files" option in the beginning Morrowind menu doesn't display it (and it doesn't display other mods I downloaded)

  • Why did you use that stupid cunts voice instead of "Call of Magic"?

  • @Gagi420 Call of Magic is great, but so is this singer...

  • Why the skyrim theme. that game sucks ass and is for jews wanting free blowjobs from Lydia.

  • @CalvinBurnsRed Are you fucking retarded?

  • @CalvinBurnsRed Because I totally love her blowjobs... yup...

  • Not only does the mod look great. But i love the video. Great job.

  • This is a "puffy" video. =p

  • Will this be better optimized?

  • Warwon took the mace to the face

  • Exe Optimizer will bring some cute ponies to Morrowind, can't wait to see Fluttershy following me and helping me in battle.

  • Skyrim?

    THIS IS VVARDENFELL!

  • Highly modded Morrowind looks better than Skyrim now imagine highly modded Skyrim.

  • @doggod106 Thats going a bit far to say they are better than skyrim !

  • @Epicpranks1100 I love Skyrim when I say these are better than Skyrim I mean it Skyrim may have good textures and shadows but it doesn't hold a torch to the shader enhancements of Oblivion or Morrowind graphics extender not to mention texture packs. But I do realise this is heavily modified and when Skyrim gets these kind of mods it will look much better than any mods could do for Morrowind or Oblivion.

  • @doggod106 A stock game isnt as good as a modded game... No shit. Once we can get the CK and delve into the inner workings better, we will get graphics mods that will blow morrowinf and Oblivion mods out of the water. Its only a mater of time.

  • @GlintTheStrong Yeah I know...why are you even replying.

  • @doggod106 Because you were stupidly trying to compare old modded games vs a vanilla current game. And the result is, no fucking shit. So I should ask you why you even bothered to make such a stupid comparison. But i wont because i don't care.

  • @GlintTheStrong What is wrong with you your being a complete a**hole for no reason.

  • This video is incredibly inspiring. Both in the video and the song. So much hard work, dedication, passion, and talent went into both of these projects. It is an absolute pleasure to behold these greats works come together. Thank you.

  • This looks nothing like Morrowind anymore in the good kind of way...

  • Now the time has come for me to reinstall Morrowind and then install everything that is needed to make this work.

  • Why are there children arguing here?

  • X.X... this isnt just a mod, this is a whole new game. this is downright amazing!

  • Looks better than Skyrim :O

  • Impressive, now just fix the animations and you could probably sell this.

  • @gamul312 i think you mean hire, buying someone is illegal in the united states, as it is in most other counteries too.

  • when i saw this i was like HOLYMOTHER-!! ill take ten plz.

  • What i think morrowind did better is the enviroments. They had volcanos, snowy areas, grassy, and desserts. They also had TONS of different monsters. When i played oblivion i was disapointed those things were gone. Same with skyrim. I think if they remade morrowinds graphics it would be 10x better then skyrim imo

  • @ZashIshimata Morrowind had many different environments, with many contrast (which sometimes resulted kinda ridiculous, like tranferences between zones in WoW) but that is because it belonged. In Oblivion there were several environments, but they were more similar because it had to be so, to fit the setting. And in Skyrim, I can see again many different environments.

Now, the monsters: Vvardenfell was a strange place, and that's why you found so many strange stuff. You can't ask...

  • @ZashIshimata .. Cyrodill to have that (it has more classical fantasy stuff), neither Skyrim (though you can find a good amount of weird creatures, and pre-historical animals.

And no, I can't agree that Morrowind with better graphics would be "10x better then skyrim". People like to praise a lot all the good aspects of Morrowind, but they seem to forget about the horribly tedious combat, or how Oblivion and then Skyrim improved in many aspects making the world feel alive. Morrowind was static.

  • @ElGuerrerodeHielo It's funny that you say people forget about Morrowinds 'horrible' combat(which is actually well done for an rpg, as dice rolls have always been in rpgs), and ignore the faults that Skyrim brings, such as easy combat, over powered character at level 20 on hard mode, no improvement to be made on equipment. All of the elder scrolls games are good, and all of them have faults. Comparing Morrowind to Skyrim is like comparing Grand Theft Auto to Final Fantasy.

  • @HaioHaoi Easy combat? Choose a higher difficulty. Over powered characters? Well, maybe. But at least there are still enemies that can suppose some kind of threat. In Morrowind, at level 25-30 you were a uber good of awesomeness that could kill everything incredibly easy. No improvement to be made on equipment? How? It's the first time that you can improve your stuff forging.

And about the last thing you say, not really. it would be like comparing a FF with other FF. Not even that...

  • @ElGuerrerodeHielo I'm just going to reply to the order they appear. I guess you missed the part where I typed 'on hard mode'. I've yet to run across any enemy in Skyrim(with around 300 hours in), that've posed any threat to me. After level 20, the game goes into super easy mode.In Morrowind, you played as a demi-god, in Skyrim, you're playing as a hero, with a dragon power, the role you play in Morrowind is much larger. The enemies are so easy in Skyrim,

  • @HaioHaoi Congratulations, then you are good.

The hero of Skyrim is actually as powerful as Morrowind's if not more, so that's not an excuse. In Morrowind, you were supposed to be a random guy/gal that results to be the Reincarnation of Indoril Nerevar. In Skyrim you are a guy/gal blessed by the very gods, who can wield the Voice and absorb Dragon Souls, becoming a Thu'um master Tiber-Septim style veery fast, so here your argument is invalid. The point is that after level 30...

  • @HaioHaoi ... in Morrowind you become a UBER GOD OF AWESOMENESS, and in Skyrim, in part thanks to a slight level scaling, there is still some dangerous stuff.

The iron sword thing. Well, to be honest, I wouldn't mind if there was some kind of degradation concerning weapons, but in Oblivion and Morrowind weapon repairing was absurd. I mean... after two blows your weapons is shit, so you begin to crazily smash your weapon with a hammer... yeeeeah.

  • @HaioHaoi Oh, and I forgot to say... I actually think that saving the entire world from a dragon-god who wants to eat it is a larger role than saving Vvardenfell.

  • @ElGuerrerodeHielo Well that argument is pretty stupid since in morrowind you save tamriel from some asshole wanting to have the powers of a god and wrecking havoc.

  • @thetruetrojan Hmmm.. that's actually true. The entire continent would have been doomed, sooner or later. Actually, it's like that in every TES.

But saying that the Nerevarine is much more important than the Dragonborn isn't true, either.

  • @ElGuerrerodeHielo that you can use a normal iron sword the entire game.

The final fantasy comparison was to compare different genres, Skyrim is an action-adventure, where as Morrowind is closer to an old school RPG, with 3d graphics.

And as for Morrowinds combat, its supposed to be D&D combat, only on a video game. The dice rolls are there, just behind the screen. If you don't like it, thats perfectly fine, but its a good system for what it is.

  • @HaioHaoi ... as each Final Fantasy is quite different to the other, in some aspects. They are not even based in the same universe, except a few of them. Thoguh you are right, every TES are good games.

About Morrowind's combat system... maybe it's not that bad if you decide to compare it to other old-school RPGs. But, as I understand it, Morrowind is more an action RPG than a traditional RPG, and concerning combat, it fails. It's... boring.

  • MrMorrowindOverhaul, I would like to say that I completely love what you have done with Morrowind. I used this mod some time ago and it was awesome... but my PC became crap because of other reasons. The thing is, I would like to install Morrowind in my laptop, which already has two years. Do you think that this mod, with most configurable functions as low as possible, will make my laptop explode... or will I be bale to play with it? Thanks!

  • interesting... i've just watched several videos showing oblivion graphics mods and this actually seems to look better. of course, actually in-game it might be different but still... quite the mod.

  • How can I link this up to my steam copy? :\

  • 1. Pause and Mute this video

    2. Open new tab

    3. /watch?v=Rhaq4JP_t6o

    4. Play that and watch this simultaneously.

    Enjoy. :)

  • @ElectricKoolAid19

Thank fucking god you didn't post inception music.

    Sick of that crap.

  • @ElectricKoolAid19 fits perfect! Love that nice Morrowind theme

  • @ElectricKoolAid19 YOU DARE TO MUTE THIS? YOU MUST DIE

  • @MrSatternJr First of all: I wrote that comment when the video had a completely different song. Second of All: Yes, I would rather watch a morrowind video while listening to Morrowind music. Does this mean I don't like the current music? No, of course not.

  • @ElectricKoolAid19 Thank you ^_^b

  • Is anyone else reminded of "Working Class Hero" when listening to this song?

  • This video went viral on France

  • Now combine Skyrim,Oblivion, and Morrowind together!

  • @ThePootedhard Skobwind?

  • I just played this video with the Morrowind Title.mp3 on the background and it fit amazingly perfect.

  • holy fucking shitballs batman! :D Looks awesome. A true testament to the greatness of the engine, regardless of its big setbacks.

  • I Really Miss Morrowind :(

  • кофейку он нальёт :)

  • <3 KING_PIX

  • I always hated that "The Dragonborn Comes" song when the bards in Skyrim sing it. For one, the singing of the bards sucks. You'd think they'd have had the voice-actors with the best singing voices play bards, obvsly not!

It has no rhythm, no rhyme. It's crap, in game.

Here, though... Man, that song in this video is good.

  • @thebigJ1er My thoughts exactly. There is a mod to replacement that shitty one with this one. I love it.

  • Excellent work, it really breathed new life into Morrowind after all these years. Thank you, and keep it up.

  • Comment removed

  • Why the fuck did you use a Skyrim song?

  • I just installed this and played for a few hours and if you're whinging about the darkness you can edit it to brighten settings, dark settings (which the video is), or lastly vanilla settings. I played on bright settings because it was a little darker than I'd like in parts. If you want stock just choose vanilla.

  • I'm happy with Morrowind as it is :)

  • Anyone saying the music is gay and sucks are infantile short bus riders and probably took an arrow to the knee.

  • @for8bitgamers I TTLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!! OMFG I SO GALD I KEPT MORROWIND

  • ha ha ha, the song that the bards sing in skyrim! lol

  • the song is pathetic

  • @CorporalNomad It is the habit and sole comfort of the untalented to mock and spit at those above them.

  • @slightlyoutofreach01 what a bitch/smatass comment

  • @CorporalNomad

song is ok, verse part sucks, i was just waiting for ultra pathetic line with 'Swords in da wind', rest of it is just cool

  • Wow guys, I haven't played morrowind in ages but I 'm definetly going to play that again now with the new version of this mod!

Thanks mod community, you guys are the best!

  • yeah awesome but fuck this "idiot nerd girl" lousy music!

  • @Sitalkio lol that 'idiot nerd girl' made the best cover for a game song I 've ever heared.

So YOU are the idiot trailer trash who never makes anything, just likes to leech and complain

  • @3v0Lpixl3 hey now YOU have really done something, like that "Big Ass" playlist on your channel, ahahah! (and "idiot nerd girl" is a meme, you know brackets mean ~search this on the internet before insulting some stranger~)

  • @Sitalkio First of all , wh

  • I'm happy to tell that this installer worked perfectly.Great work Morrowind Overhaul Team.

  • Looks awesome, great job, guys!

(But yeah, odd music choice ;))

  • @DecmanReturns Look in description for music choice. Song meant for Skyrim.

  • show char models.

  • What the hell is a Skyrim? Morrowind, now that, is near and dear... :) Thank you for your work

  • Video is called Sounds & Graphics....couldn't you have shown off some of the sounds?

  • >2011

    >still playing morrowind

  • @Registole same man, i'm one of the few people who played Morrowind before oblivion came out.

  • ITS COOL AND SHIT BUT THE MUSIC SUCKS HARD

  • Check my nostalgia guys! LOOK AT MY NOSTALGIA!

  • Why do you fags argue about the music?

    It gave me goosebumps.

  • @kulemv cuz they are fags and a angel-like voice makes them doubt even more about their masculinity

  • why are you using the skyrim theme song in a morrowind video? I just don't get it

  • @TheDarthMufasa

First off, if you actually played Morrowind you'd know the entire island is a dormant volcano. Its supposed to be grey. Its all ash.

You want color? go to 1:16. Only the shoreline of Morrowind is really colorful.

  • >Morrowind

    >Singing about the Dragonborn

GET OUT OF HERE YOU FILTHY NORDS

  • Dang it the overhaul is based off of such a weak machine. If only there was an overhaul based off of the 580 and i7

  • i fucking hate this song

  • Where the fuck is Nerevar rising? You some kind of faggot?

  • >not using Morrowind theme

    WHY

  • @ardaorhan go away /v/

  • @ardaorhan So do you just greentext everywhere?

I can see it now, job applications starting with '>not hiring me >ISHYGDDT'

  • @ardaorhan I think it's because the theme song of skyrim is very similar to the theme song of morrowind without lyrics ( sorry for my english , I think it's pretty bad >.> )

  • @ardaorhan Go back to your shitty image board fucking idiot

  • @ardaorhan where the fuck do you think the melody line that the chick sings is from? The song is about skyrim sure, but its here to remind us of the good times we had playing morrowind

  • @ardaorhan I just played the music from the v1.0 trailer and turned off the music for this one, it worked great.

  • Dragonborn song in Morrowind? Why?

Looks like a nice mod though.

  • dis shit looks gay as hell u fagets should be playin good games like cod mw3

  • @Roxxzor816 Obvious troll is obvious. Go to bed.

  • @Roxxzor816 Fail troll is fail

  • the dungeons look too dark.

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate

That's how dungeons are supposed to look.

There are no lights in dungeons. No torches in 200+ year old unopened crypts. No random light sources to illuminate your path. Next you're going to complain about how its too dark when you close your eyes.

Here's a science tip. Without light everything would be dark. Not the other way around.

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate Yeah, obviously someone walks around the world putting torches in every dungeon like in Oblivion/Skyrim! Or not. It's good that it's dark..

  • @thyrell well obviously a cave full of bandits will have torches.

falmer caves are lit by glow worms and other natural sources.

dwemer ruins are lit by the special dwemer technology like their lamps up on the ceiling, and nordic ruins are it by holes in the ceiling leading to the sky, torches (maybe the undead do light torches, they aren't completely stupid brain dead zombies) and other natural sources of light.

    It's just a gameplay thing.

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate more real , p.s you can cheange lot of thinfs here too , how much grass you have , how dark is dungeons , field of view and much more . But you need up to dual core to run all at max :) I cant run it at max ...

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate You ever been in dungeon before?

    They are very dark :3

  • @McDrewbs yes, and it wasn't as dark as in the video.

You jealous I am one of the highest rated comments and you disagree with me?

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate Very jelly, even I liked the comment :P

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate What is night eye?

    What is torches?

  • @CowHoofOnAHotPlate WHAT IS TORCHES

    WHAT IS NIGHT EYE

  • @AssManV2 What is love?

  • Reinstall time!

  • One of the most creative worlds ever made, with a nice polish now :] looks great

  • i bet it runs like ass

  • What do you think looks better, the Morrowind 2011 compendium mod or this?

  • That song's perfect!

  • god damn in the future if think i know what i will play

    guess what?

thats right youre absolutely correct it will be angry birds

  • I think, the best Dlc for Skyrim would be, to make a way back to Morrowwind, with new Graphic, but it should look like in 2002 (Not the Graphics, the Citys and Dungeons!). And they should bring back throwing weapons and spears and all the other stuff.

  • @ScarJeyjeyShine they already confirmed that expansion packs will let the player go to cyrodill and morrowind. with all new quests and a continuation of the dragonborn story. But i hope they go back and visit hammerfell and high rock like in daggerfall. Or Make the next game just. The Elder Scrolls VI Tamriel

  • @kladuscha When did they say that? The only info I have heard is that parts of the Continent of Tamriel where in the game, which include more than just Morrowind and Cryodil. We don't know that means there will be DLC. It could have been included for Modders, we have seen Modders try and remake parts of Tamriel and it takes awhile (see Tamriel Rebuilt) bethesda could have very well included the landmass for that reason.

  • @kladuscha can you let us know where your read this confirmation? That would be big news, but I haven't seen anything yet....

  • @kladuscha I dunno, I'd like the next game in Elswyr or Valenwood

  • not enough Fus Ro Dah

  • wtf is the Sound fu you idiots ,not make this overpowered nerd style boon

  • Sabber !

  • Look at the screenshot, check out the site! AWESOME!

  • I don't get it, why is everybody bashing skyrim?

  • Love Malukah's rendition of the Dragonborn Comes. Doesn't belong in a Morrowind trailer. Overhaul looks great though. Good times.

  • @Opticon9 I think it does belong (especially since it's TES). Thats just me though, I think the song is simply amazing and really goes great with these land shots :)

I was actually thinking of making a timelapse video myself in Skyrim with this song... It's just amazing.

  • Brace yourself. The Elder Scrolls hipsters are coming.

  • @masonhales

    trolls will b trolls then

  • Comment removed

  • @nefets99 agreed, this looks like shit.

  • Pig disgusting Sykrim "Music"

  • Remove the bitch singing bad and this would be awesome.

  • I would actually pay money for this.

  • Bye bye skyrim, piece of shit.

  • I.... I need this mod...

  • After hours of messing with it, I have it nearly perfectly calibrated. This is SUCH a step up from the previous version. It's surprisingly even more stable. I'm running it with a GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2GB (OCd to 1000 Mhz core clock and 2000 shader clock) a Phenom II x4 955 BE (OCd to 4.0Ghz) and 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM. If anyone has roughly the same setup or higher, I can share my settings with you if it's slow for you for some reason.
