I am planning to ship something bigger than that oversea. Are they using the same technique to load the machine on board? How much does it cost to ship it?
i have been on the port for 8 years now and only one has fallen off the crane and landed on the ground and that was 5 years ago but it was a cable on crane that broke not the chain holding the excavator,
just do't belt them on the stanchions

this loading of the excavator on to this ship was temperary ,and was only to stow log's onto the hold of the ship to optermise the load on the ship

i like that (it's only unsafe if you hurt someone!) that's gold lol
to load a ship fully 32,000-35,000 ton's of log's take's 46 to 55 hour's depending on the length of the log's and how wet it is
thank's for watching

What is unsafe about this? There are lifting lugs on most excavators right behind the boom foot pins for this exact purpose.
