@nerdlish The wall of CDs is expanding until it takes over all the walls and ceiling too !! Tips . Practice using your right hand fingers one two one two . Use one finger per fret scale practice . Go very very slow get finger control first . Then do it with a rhythm ,Best with a drum machine or metronome .Learn riffs that are not too hard to do.

You can practice different rhythms by hitting tables ,baths anything that come to hand play drums on it and along with the music that you listen to .

There are lots of good basses around However , in the lower price range Peavey ,Yamaha and Ibanez are great. Fender seem to have got the pickups in much better in that range too .I have recently bought an Ibanez SRX595 [5 string] which is brilliant..

In the upper price range Warwick are great & many others .But ,for me the Ibanez is easily as good.

It's a Peavey .Not sure of the model .Quite cheap, made in Vietnam. The tone controls broke so I removed them . The sound improved . Nice pickups. The amp is a Line 6 Low Down LD 300. The sound is from the direct out . Just a bit of compression and a little reverb 20 milliseconds pre-delay ,all the treble off and 500 milliseconds reverb time .

You play the bass like a guitarist- and I mean that as a compliment!

Nice solo, it's grooving a lot and that's the most important thing. S"imple" lines, but played with a lot of feeling. You don't have to play 1000 notes per minute to be a great bass guitar-player. Great!

Learn to use your all fingers. Alternate first and second fingers on the right hand and use all 4 on the left .Practice slowly ,don't rush ,that's the quickest way to learn.
