  • i've only just found out about mortal sin, but they are so good. so glad to find a good aussie band. they are like a mix between slayer and anthrax in my opinion

  • Oh know it's cut!

I can't remember Sacred Reich doing a cover of this song! ;op

I remember 'Mortal Sin' covering 'Administrative Decisions' haha!

  • that drumming in the beginning looks so badass!!!

  • holy shit... same year as toxik. it seems there was so many great thrash bands in 89 and around there; toxik, coroner, mortal sin... to name a few.

  • Isn't Steve Hughes the comedian the drummer?

  • Yes it is him.

  • @TristanVocalCovers sorry that would be wayne cambell better known as satan

  • great underground thrash band!I really respect them!

  • Good song, but I like the Sacred Reich version better.

  • This song was released in 1989 so I'm guessing this is the year

  • I'm guessing this is well b4 1992. I recon it was the very late 80's or maybe 1990. The t-shirts they are wearing is a clue.

  • the candy harlots were up there with the Sin

  • seen steve on good news week he used to be my old drum teacher but now hes telling jokes for a livin ...gotta go where the money is...good luck

  • An other Master piece, this time from Australia!!!

    Thrash or Die!!!!

  • Great song! 'Face of Despair' album is one of the greatest thrash albums in my opinion.

  • Wow that so brings back memories. I thought these guys were AWESOME when I was about...12 years old I guess. And the bassist is wearing an Anthrax shirt!

  • lichthank you for uploading Ich bin unsterb

  • onore a Maurer, Carwana e Burke. grandi anche ai live

  • HOT !

    mad aussie thrash band

  • Lightning Rock guitarist, Kev, says.. oomgahwah! Was great playin with you guys.

  • MS should have supported Megadeth when they came out here..instead we got Ass enemy(i mean arch enemy)and those other fucking emo wankers caliban!

  • if only australai had more fuckin metal bands outhere like these guys. Fuck man im pissed that weve got like onyl a handful of good bands!!!

  • I like Hobbs' Angel of Death. They are pretty badass.

  • i know feel your pain

  • great band! very underrated but hey, they are still a kick ass band!

  • Saw them in 89 supporting Faith No More, met Andy Eftichiou after the gig and thought he was a spot on lad. Had a real soft spot for them andy they were one of the more underrated thrash acts at the time

  • awesome! i wish i was a teenager during that time but unfortunately i was born a year after that show you went to. that's cool that Andy Eftichiou was a cool guy and you're lucky to have met him.

  • @garryt24 at the cobra club

  • @Bang4URBux No mate, it was in the UK at Newcastle Mayfair, great venue and in hindsight one of the best gigs I've ever been too, Mortal Sin blew the place apart and luckily (for Faith No More) Faith No More were on top of their game

  • Saw these guys in Adelaide Australia supporting Metallica on there 1989 world tour...Awesome Aussie band it went nuts at the Thebby Theatre!!!

  • do you know how to spell?

  • total awesomeness!a blast of pure testosterone!

  • Joey Belladonna?

  • what's that have to do with anything???

  • The vocalist looks like Belladonna.

  • yeah, but what does this have to do with any of my comments?I didn't mention anthrax or belladona...anyway,I don't think it's him-he has a much more high-pitched voice...

  • I wasn't saying it was him, I was saying it looked like him. And I don't remember commenting you about it. So calm down buddy.

  • I am calmed down pal!no need to worry,I didn't get angry or anything-just confused by your comments...I guess you made a mistake by posting these comments to me instead of some other guy-anyway,take it easy...ah,and merry christmas by the way, hehe!

  • i live where they live.. sydney

  • I am immortal, too...

  • My 1st ever gig was in '89 when my older brothers took me to see Metallica & Mortal Sin when I was 12yrs.old.They released 'Face Of Despair' the next wk.&did a insore @ Andomeda records which was cool.I was lucky enough to see 'em again with Anthrax in '05.But there just was something else about that old line-up.Maybe I'm just gettin' too old ;)

  • Was their first album rebellious youth

  • No,That was their 3rd-& that shouldn't have been a Mortal Sin album! The bass player Andy Efftichou kicked out the rest of the band & went all hard rockin' for that album (I think it was released as "Every Dog Has It's Day" in the US).It was a totally different band, sound & style. They backed Megadeth in '91-& they sucked...but this song is from the 2nd LP "Face Of Despair" (the legendary "Mayhemic Destruction" was their debut). This must be from the 1st 'Metal For The Brain' festival in '89.

  • I got Face of Despair in 07. fucking glad I did too.

  • yeah man, but have you got it on vinyl? cos I have.

  • I have Mayhemic Destruction & Face Of Despair on vinyl, tape and CD - all original pressings and all signed by the original members \m/ and the Face of Mayhem - Live VHS \m/ I really haven't liked anything they've done after FoD

  • Okay, You Win. I was lucky to find it on vinyl. I got mine from a record shop called Licorice Pie

  • Wayne the drummer gave me a cd of Revolution Of The Mind back 98 or 99.

  • fuck yeah

  • This band sent my old band a request on MySpace :P...they were one of like 5 of our friends...good memories :P

  • Hey man my band is playing with mortal sin in like a mouth so beat that SUCKER!!!

  • mine is too! Soace Raven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aussie thrash metal's always been great...Slaughter Lord,Redeemer,Renegade,Addictive and Mortal Sin..all kickass bands.

  • A SLAYER T-shirt definitely fits here, as the whole thing screams SLAYER!!!

  • The title of the song is spelled incorrectly here, and the name of the band is wrong in the description. Mortan??

  • siick.....

  • August 5 1989,i was there front row.

It was an all day benefit concert for Damien Hevey i think his name was.Still got the shirt somewhere.

  • I was born in 1989 and went and saw them for the first time earlier this year! They even signed my copy of Mayhemic Destruction, too awesome.

  • You're making me feel old Jagerfueled ;)

  • Is that Steve Hughes on the drums?

  • Sure is.

  • yes

  • fuck you hippie

  • this is their gig from the enmore theatre in 89 in sydney right?

  • The CD/album/tape this song is on (Face of Despair) is outstanding and is yet another highlight of the phenomenal period of thrash's heydey, which I'd say was between 1986-1991. Obviously thrash started before that and continued on to this day, but if YOU WANT to hear some AMAZING fucking shit find damn near anything put out between 86 and 91 that was thrash...great period of time for music for me.

  • Oh yes, classic stuff!

The one guitarist's is wearing a Massappeal shirt!

  • I actually hae this VHS. On the cover it says "Live songs mixed 1989" not sure when the video was actually released though. Great video from a great band! I love Mayhemic Destruction LP!!! One of the best Thrash albums ever alongside with Reign in Blood and Bonded by Blood.

  • Fucking yea ! Mortal sin fucking rules \m/

  • the real fuckin deal

  • Mortal Sin and Addictive Great thrash Metal bands!!!

    BURN IN HELL EMOS!!!

  • fuck yeah! hail kreator, overkill, exodus, nuclear assault, destruction, sodom and so on...

  • i don't like the vocalist. the music is great though.

  • Trash metal from San Francisco(CA)1988.I was 18 that time...

  • these guys are aussies my friend, unless you wee referring to the location of the gig, which i have no idea.

  • It's not hard to see where their influences come from.

  • I'M IMMORTAL, MOTHER FUCKERS!

  • I saw these guys open for Metallica in 1989 at Festival Hole in Melbourne..

    Awesome gig.

  • I grew up in NZ, and I remember them supporting Megadeth in Australia around 91. Have never seen them before, but going to see them support Overkill in Sweden, where i now live, in 6 or 7 weeks. Yes!

  • They look like goths now :(

  • the singer is a wannabe anthrax frontman

  • This guy is a better singer than Anthrax frontman. How could he be a wannabe of that guy they sound completely different.

  • Umm, because they share the same type of hairdo?

  • Written on their shirts lmao.

  • Rebellious youth was a mad album.I used to listen to it when i was about 12 lol

  • this is cool

  • The singer's 'do is fuckin ACE!

  • satan RULES!!!!

  • (coughs)

  • What is the song from mortal sin that starts off with the helicopter.I think its off rebellious youth

  • its called see no evil

  • fUCK, THIS IS THE SHIT!!! MORTAL SIN RAPE ASSES!!

  • Gus "I Am Immortal" was off the Face of Despair album. Not Mayhemic Destruction. Great band though - they were the best in their day.

  • fucking dollar!

  • awesome, i loved this band back in the day, thanks!

  • singer is a clone of joey belladonna (anthrax) looks wise from the same era, brings it all back

  • Badass song!

I love the vocals on the album!!

  • How shit are the fucking vocals!

  • Man imma get Mayhemic Destruction on ebay. Its fucking sweet!

  • Mortal Sin's Mayhemic Destruction is a great album!!

  • I need to get this album

    Nice riffs

  • wasnt morbid angel originally named mortal sin?

  • First album "Mayhemic Destruction was rated up there with the best when it came to first album released. Was more raw than their 2nd album which contained this song (I am immortal)

  • gracias!!!, de los primeros grupos que escuche. da igual si el sonido o la imagen no son excelentes, igual esta mejor que mucha mierda actual

  • anyone know what make and serial number is the white ibanez that the guitarist has ?? also the same for the bassist as im gonna buy both!! ps this band are fukkin awesome !!!

  • mmm

    lastima =(

no es muy bueno el sonido, unicamente x eso no estara en mis favoritos

sin embargo, muy buena la intencion

    thanks!

  • Australia's version of Metallica (said a news journalist back in 1990).

I actualy own the album this is off of. Despite was a few people might think, this band has a few VERY NICE RIFFS. The album is DEFINATELY worth buying... if you can find it in the U.S.

  • Mortal Sinnnnnnnnnnnnnn Al fin, increible....

  • amen!

  • Cool man finaly some vid of this cool aussie band!

Rebellious youth from 91 was a great album too!

  • would have been intersting to hear this with the heavier vocals they used for the title track of "mayhemic destruction." great vocals anyway.

  • great vid, this is actually from 88 though - on thier live video "faces of mayhem."

  • I had a thousand opportunities to buy this concert video in 89,I kept putting it off,I regret it now.cant get it anywhere.got their live DVD from the Annandale though. Its pretty good

  • i found it on ebay a long time ago - under the title faces of mayhem so if you look you might find it there, they also have a very short interview in the middle of it thats pretty funny as the guy interviewing them looks rather silly.

  • Another awesome Thrash band \m/
