I was wondering how does he keep the shutter speed open when using a bulb mode.... Does he continue to keep pressing the remote controller while drawing things?
@einYannik either by buying a remote controller and setting your shutter to bulb mode and pressing the remote for longer then 30sec or by connecting it with a laptop with a program which allow you to control the camera
cool :3 i am about to start this but im just curious... when i see alot of these the person themself blurs along with the light. in your video its not even that dark outside and still only the light is showing up... how?...
@okboy100 i think what he does, is he takes a picture of his backround and then takes pictures of the lights and photoshops the lights from the creation pics to the backround picture. mabye ? (im just guessing here, as i dont do this kind of work. . . . . . he might have a different technique)
there is so little information on this online, but i spent hours looking. They are not lying- its not after effects or any other VFX program. It would be hard to get such an organic look to it. They are doing it in camera.
The technique is called Lumasol and the hardware is called Luma2solator. It seems they spent time doing light writing using the 360cameras in a circle setup they used in the matrix and that somehow evolved to developing this.
@Kaiz2Kaiz long exposure, let the camera take a single pic for many seconds or minutes.. You know how you have exposure settings in your camera? those are usually fractions of seconds rates usually in ms.. imagine that in whole seconds and or minutes. My camera only does 16 seconds and you can do all sorts of things with a laser pointer on wall

@orewaokano yes...you could do that but on the end you`ll get the chip of the camera get burned :)
I was trying this with a D60, D3, D5000...doesn't work with all cameras like that...but with some other camera maybe... :)
macedonianwolf 1 year ago
@einYannik I would say don`t do it more then 30 sec but if you like to do that...use a filter to make it longer and naturally get a remote control...

Stonking stuff!
Having had a go, it's easy to do, but hard to master. And you are a master of it.
The hardest thing I've found is drawing a character/animal. It's tricky to remember where you are, and I end up with weird mutants instead.
