Vraelnet...yep. failed quaz! But independant installers don't have to put up with the bull that you and I do (you sound like you work for dish) I work in MS and the majority of my territory has at least three independant installers in the area. So guess what that means, you proably already know! 3 hour trouble calls! Woohoo!
Sure, its not enough information for a professional or expert to learn how to install...but this video seems at least to tell an average guy trying to install a dish on his house the gist of the process
@getdishnetwork it really doesn't so many things are left out, if you were to install that dish today the mast is wrong its missing struts for support and he doesn't show the pre drilling or lag shield usage, before you even get to the puttig up the mast you have to set the skew and elevation of the dish he doesn't level the mast he doesnt show you what settings to put the super buddy on to get a reading you would be assed out trying to put up a dish just from watching this video
Things Wrong: 1. Dish 500 mast is not for western arc. 2. not support braces for dish 3. white wire is not allowed on any dish network installs 4. you did not pre drill and install anchors. Funniest thing Ever is that he is a POCKET INSTALLER HACKER. i did not use the word Tech as that would insult all of us to include him as a Tech.
@GrumpieBug No anchors???? Its a wood frame home with stucco, look at the window it is flush with the wall, block homes windows are inset,, im sure you dont need anchors in wood????????????????
Lol, what he does not tell you is you cant wall mount if the direction of the dish points to far left or right, the mast does not come out far enough to clear lol.
@kingjoer Yes, I did that too, I use tapcon screws in stucco even if this is not approved. sometime this is the only way and the most important is to get solid structure underneath the stucco to old the screws.
mmm dhide14 im a satellite installer and earn around £3500 a month, id love to no which burgur king store pays that a month the store manager wouldnt even get that haha
Anomalies: Aluminium Ladder, Dish foot in stucco is prohibited, dish foot not leveled, no TBT 11 sealant patch, no set screws, ''noise bar'' on the supper buddy ??? This guy is an amateur and obviously this video is for the average guy who want to try to install himself. Satellite dish installation requires technical skills and should only be done by a professionnal technician.
I overworked myself when I installed these things back in my days LOL and He is Licensed?? WOW!!I wonder if Dish Network QC dept. ever watch videos like these LOL
You loose your certification yet? Ok for the grounding I dont know if you are using a media panel ground or not so I can't say much there except the lack of a static ground. But to stucco? That is not allowed by Dish, DirecTV, Wildblue, and Hughes Net. Stucco house with tile roof = post mount or non-pen. Now I know Cali has alot of those houses, but post mounts are actually not very difficult.
licenced SBCA installer? :))). Does SBCA teaches you to mount the dish on stucco?,....holes without metal shields?..whithout a gound source, ground block, drip loopes and using silicone? :))
This guy makes me want to push his ladder over. You NEVER mount to stucco for any reason unless if you want a damage claim. The way this guy drones on makes me think Elmer Fudd is more informational.
Nice to have a video, but this says nothing about line of sight and check switches and lnbs and different satellites and grounding issues and esthetics and safety. Should pre-drill in stucko and use anchors, otherwise your dish may fall, there I'll have a video up in the next couple of months outlining everything about satellite installation, i figure many DIY people can do better jobs than most installers...installers are most often paid by the job which equals faster uncaring work, beware!!
i got my tv installed yesterday, im curious why the installer preferred to put the tv on the roof rather then the side of the house like in this video, he told me the tree may be in the way, but i think its best to have the tv all the way on the roof so no one messes with it
Supposed to drill into stucco there, good buddy? Nice hard hat, and little giant. If anybody see's a tech like this come to your residence or place of businesstell them to leave as it looks like hack city!!!!
nice meter litle buddy ha...?i use my old and trusty birddog to lock signal i use the 119 dish net to lockit them hit power go to seleccion C and startt look for 129 and that get it prety strong signal

Most important to find out what side of the house can see the satellite dish before installation. It would save a lot of time ! sattvmax.com

For safety reason its better to drill the stacco and put anchor for securing your dish. Orther wise you discover that your dish is in nieghbors lawn.

You forgot to pre-drill. Would of made that lag go in easier.
Couple of other things you might of mentioned:...The eve could of blocked the 129 satellite. Using a pitch-patch instead of the silicon.
