  • You have to assemble the skyline in USA..only way of getting it here

  • our government is retarded :\

  • lol these aren't illegal becuse the too fast. its because they don't pass emssions. now thats what i call dirty rice.

  • they are takin them unless its strickly for track us u have to hand over ur keys and have the car destroyed by crushing its considered illegally imported and they havent done crash test on it here but they basically wanna crush them cuz they cant catch them there 4wd monster with 600 to 1200 hp and police jus cant catch that with there mustangs and new toy chargers but theres alwayz subies evos and the new gtr so they may as well give up

  • @angelogotrice dog fur real, the police are faster than our little street cars, i mean come on most of da chargers u see have a hemi in there, 2 there coming out with new ford taures that are going to be twin turbocharged. and 3 for christ sake they fucking havfe zr1's and some zo6's there fucking untouchable no matter what you think, we will most likely lose EVERY time....

  • @McOrca09 i am a cop in nc and the crown vic only do 130 and the chargers do 150

  • @McOrca09 If you look up the stats on the police edition of the charger and the civilian edition, civilian editions actually have more horsepower. And just because a car is faster than another doesn't mean a whole lot. Ya it does give you an advantage, but that GTR will be able to take corners a lot better than a FWD taurus or a corvette. How the driver can drive also plays a big role.

  • @angelogotrice no shit right?? lol

  • man I just got to Japan and am gonna get a skyline, but then I hear this talk of not getting it back to the US is a bummer...I really hope its not true

  • Its very true. Skyline is a dirty word to law enforcement in the US.

  • but arent there certain exceptions? such as the 15 year rule?

  • Not in the US. Its 25 years old in the US.

  • @tyndago Itll cost a lot but you can ship the car over in parts and then build it here. "KIT CAR"

  • @Automotib Better start shipping it back piece by piece.........

  • @Automotib aha no worries now (: you should be able to bring it back now

  • i read that the government was taking away all the skylines in a magazine

  • No. You didn't read that. You might have read about Kaizo, but the government is not taking "all the skylines" away. Look up Kaizo.

  • "drifter5758" is right because, I read the same thing in "super street" or "import tuner" I thought it was bullshit though. The article was about owners that had skyline parts shipped to the United States and re-assembled them and register them under the title as kit cars, thus fooling the goverment or some shit like that

  • I see at least 2 GTR's a week now here in Denver Colorado. Theres not as rare as the old skylines like the R34, R33, R32, or anyother skyline.

  • i sense a sinister laugh there! I' m jealous

  • why aint the skyline legal in the U.S.? their in kentucky an all over the place in Fl. and Ga. get ur facts strait man.

  • not to butt in on a conversation or anything, but i heard a rumor where some group of people, im not sure who they are, wither they are government or something along those lines im not sure... BUT they were seizing all skylines that they could get their hands on and crushing them...

  • hopefully that's just in the states hahaha sucks to be you guys. Canada loves skylines they're everywhere due to our reasonable import laws :D

  • Thats false....I know a person with a 2009 GTR premium that hasnt at all been contacted about that and ive talked to several nissan GTR dealerships that have heard nothing about it.

  • not the new ones... all the right hand drive imported from Japan/Canada/where ever else ones.

  • thats a micra with a body kit lol

  • i think you need to research stuff better....... that is defiantly a Nissan GTR there is no way you can modify a 350 to have the same shape of a GTR

  • Well it is a GTR but you can modify any car to form any shape you just need to be very very very rich.

  • @CaliAzn619 what are you talking about? Maybe you weren't looking but you could easily modify a 350z to make it look like a GTR, you'd basically take all the smooth round shapes of the 350 and make them more pointy and bulky like the gtr, gotta open them eyes!

  • @owangejuice they are not illegal who ever said that there retarded theres one forsale at the nissan dealership here on grand where i live.

  • thats not a 350 you dipshit. haha learn your cars before you talk faggot

  • who cares wether its the r35 or a 350 either way its a sweet car.

  • it aint a 350 lol

  • beautiful car.. but i still prefer a r34 gt-r over this car anyday

  • i hate tha new ones

  • your laff kild it

  • hey is it true that the bottom of that car and the drink holder overheat ??

  • G37 with a body kit awd and 400hp. buy an r34 gtr vspec

  • 480 at the engine, they are making 440 at the wheels. Dual clutch transaxle. Wider than the G37. 20" tires. 6 piston Monoblock Brembos in the front. 4 piston Monoblock Brembos in the rear. Not quiet a G37 with 400 and awd.

  • Can you? Superior in what way ? 1/4 mile ? Track ? Top Speed ?

I don't think you can do it.

  • heated leather seats in a skyline suck. u be as fake as u want, but the v-spec R34 is the best skyline. Im str8 w/ an automatic 90k POS!!!

  • i agree with you 101 boost. r34 is the best skyline.

  • 33 best looking

  • do like the r33 but prefer the r34

  • i think an r32 is the best man but that's my opinion

  • they r nice but i like the r34 the most its just the body style. it pisses me off that the skyline isnt legal in the us

  • yeah man i know

  • Comment removed

  • you

    are

    crazy :S

  • Amen! The guy that posted this video was getting snappy at my 1st commit

  • Well hey, why don't you modify me a 350z into one of those.

  • AHAHA fuckin idiot

  • There is a difference between building performance within the aftermarket scene, and engineering performance to be in a car straight from the factory.

Although, I do see your point.

  • lol

  • Not true. In Japan they have a limit on the street of 180 km/hr. In the US they are unlimited. With a Cobb Accessport, you can remove the limiter with just a simple software update. Then put it back when you like.

  • IN JAPAN they're limited by law. Outside Japan, the limiters are off (I've heard). And the car can go 193mph actually. Search here in youtube. Plenty of videos where it goes 193+.

  • the r35 is not aloud to be modified in any way for the 1st 3 year's of it's life, thats any where in the world. there saying that you cant even put it on a rolling road. stupid i know. but thats summit you have to agree to when buying 1. they come around 485 bhp standard.

  • anywhere in the in the world? hate to rain on your parade i no of several down here in nz that have had exstensive amounts of money put into them, maybe your countrys laws are different to ours?

  • i would of thougt ne where in the world, but like ya say our laws could be different. but that's wat i was told. but would ya want to modify it even more?? its comes with 485bhp standard

  • i no crazy bhp for me! if i ever had the chance to own this beast from the east,my 97 r33 gts25t doesnt even come close to it! lol

  • wont be long though untill there 1000bhp or over. thats if there isnt some out there already

  • that shit sounds like a jet

  • nice laugh hahahhah

  • DOHC B16

    Peak TQ 116 @ 7200 rpm

    Peak HP 170bhp @7800 rpm

    116X7800/5252= 172bhp.

  • Note that at 5252 RPM, torque and HP are equal. At any RPM below 5252, the value of torque is greater than the value of HP; Above 5252 RPM, the value of torque is less than the value of HP.

  • True any vtec motor ive seen on the dyno the TQ curve is always surpassed by hp around 5500.

  • no your the stupid fuck...how did you get the torque and hp number? .how did yopu calculate them? you didn't that's not where they intersect..that's the max number meaning if tha h.p. # is 200. then 200x 5252/ 1750+ equals the torque..guess what take since HP = TORQUE x RPM ÷ 5252 then by rearranging the equation:

    TORQUE = HP x 5252 ÷ RPM

    sorry your driving an explorer...

  • no i just am that smart...sorry.. i read alot of stupid shit on here about the 5252 rule

  • This is always a good thing to remember, because if you ever see a horse power and torque curve that do not intersect at 5252, something is wrong with the data.

  • lol. your are a stupid fock, u know that? my explorer;s HP and torque intersect at 4575 rpms, and redlines at 5500.

stop acting like a know it all.

    TORQUE = HP x 5252 ÷ RPM

    sorry your driving an explorer...

  • lol. u know how i got those numbers? i've had my truck tuned on a dyno. i'll tell you it isn't cheap either. $65 an hour.

    i make 305 ft/lbs torque at 1750 RPMs and 245 HP at 4575 Rpms.

your equation is wrong. because i can adjust my cam timing, to increase or decrease torque, without affecting horsepower.

  • timing has nothin to do with rpm. and any enigine builder will tell you adjusting cam timing will always affect horsepower( maybe not significantly depending on degree of timing but it will always effect

  • once again. adjusting the timing can affect where the max torque lies.

  • right but not the rpm, or where it crosses hp

  • affecting where max torque happens does not effect the equation. only where the powerband lies and where at what rpms they would happen hp and torque intersect at 5252 reguardless.

  • well they don't on my truck. and a bunch of other cars they had at the dyno. they all intersected at different spots.

  • remember im only talking about when hp and torque intersect not where the are in relation to max power numbers(meaning peak numbers) if all dyno torque and horsepower does not crisscross at 5252 then dyno wrong

  • yeah i know. where the line for torque, and horsepower meet each other. mine intersects at 4575 rpms.

what happens in a diesel truck that doesn't turn more than 4000 rpms? my old IDI 7.3L intersected at around 2100 rpms

  • no when your engine is making 245hp at 4575 your engine is making 281ft lbs. of torque the haven't intersected yet until......5252...and when the diesel only spins up to 4000 rpms thats easy the never intersct up to redline... they make gobs of torque and very little hp because of the long stroke and low rpm..

  • lol sorry. but at 4575 rpms i'm making 170 lbs of torque. lol

shows how much you really know.

and its not that they don't intersect till redline, in a diesel. in a IDI powerstroke, they will NEVER intersect at ANY rpms, no matter how high it can rev.

  • i just fucking said they never intersect up to redline...you said what about a diesel tha only does 4000 rpms. and your wrong about your motor... makes you laughable that i know more about your motor than you at 4575 when your making 245hp your making 281ft.lbs of torque..

  • oh yeah 281x4575/by 5252= 244.78 hp at 4575 rpm's

  • case in point by giving these numbers i can map the chart from zero through the redline

  • no you cant. because you do not know how steady my chart is.

  • using the numbers you gave and using the equation..i can map your hp and torque charts. i can list them at whatever interval(rpm) i choose...and i guarantee that they will cross at 5252...your torque is above your hp past 4575 where you are making 245 hp...do you know what torque you are making at 4575 with 245hp.. 281lbs. ft. ask me how i know that..at 1750 305ftlbs of torque you are making 101 hp...ask me how i know that

  • from this we always know that under 5252 torque will exeed horsepower. after 5252 horsepower will exeed torque

  • my max torque is at 1750 rpms, and max hp is at 4750 rpms. it intersects at 4575.

  • i saw one at my home in long beach a couple of months ago. i thought id never see one in california, but this car that i hate so much drove right by my street.

  • cough illegal lolol

  • Proton Satria FTW!

  • this thing's already in the U.S? i thought it wasn't suppose to come out until June

  • Its a JDM car. Imported through JSpec Connect . com

  • how much did it cost to import it? not that i have anywhere close to that amount, but jus wondering.

only thing i hate about this car is the front. its so ugly. especially the concept versions. they shouldve kept the other design that looked similar to a r34. it wouldve got better feedback from the public. but overall, the drivetrain and engine are perfect (but nobody can 'crack' the ecu to tune it yet...)

  • more displacement does not mean more horsepower. it does in fact mean more torque.

  • Yes, but horsepower is derived from torque and rpm.

Just below here I say , "more power, more torque".

  • It's true that if the displacement is bigger than a small one, and both turbocharged, bigger displacement would always win hands down. More power more torque, that is true, BUT lets say, 500hp/500lbs torque 2jz. 500hp/250lbs torque vtec b16. you see, every engine is different, some engines can produce high horsepower, but weak torque, some are equal, some are low horsepower, but high torque.

  • Low displacement requires high revs to make the horsepower, and this is why the torque will show a low figure. Torque and hp always will intersect at the same rpm 5252 rpm.

  • Not all torque and hp will intersect at that rpm, it's quite confusing and has been a debate for such a long time. Below 5252rpm any engine's torque # will always be higher than hp, Above 5252rpm, any engine's hp # will always be higher than it's torque, Like you say, if they always intersect at 5252rpm, torque and numbers will be the same. It's all on stroke, and bore. Now back to the VR, of course it will out perform RB, I don't know how the head's on those engines flow, but fersure, VR FTW.

  • No one really knows much about the internals of the VR except a few people at Nissan. I would say it will flow similar to a VQ, which really preforms well. Nearly everyone that has messed around with the VQ likes the head flow.

  • Yea, Last time I was on a website, and I was reading about the VR, they not not the same. People get confused between the two. FYI to all the people out there, VQ and VR are nothing alike, the bottom end that is... that's for sure... I'm not so sure about the head.

  • all horsepower measurments are as follows. torque x rpm / 5252= horsepower. All torque and horsepower ARE equal at 5252...We can't measure power directly, so we measure torque instead we convert torque to horse power using the equation HP = TRQ * RPM / 5252

From the equation we know that horse power equals torque at 5252 RPM

  • Trying to talk smart or something? Talking smart or are you acually one? Or is it something you read off a forum? Hey kid, you think we're that dumb?

  • The relationship between the bore and stroke has a large influence on the power, torque, and rpm range of power. Maybe your right, VR38 probably will be better than the RB, it seems to have a bigger displacement and a good ammount of engineer to build that masterpiece. Bigger displacement turbo vs smaller displacement turbo will always win. Sea Level psi is only 14.7, so basically NA engines can only suck in 14.7 psi max.

  • By the way, what kind of RB series engine do you own?

  • I have two RB30's and an RD28 of my own. I also have a couple of RB26's of my own.

Then the shop I help out - RB Motoring - they have about 20 of them on the ground.

  • fuck this....long live the rb26dett!!!!

  • I will give you a few years to say long live the VR38DETT. There is no replacement for displacement.

  • Uhh I don't want no aluminum stroked out V6 thank you very much. I'll stick with my beloved iron blocked inline-six's. No replacement for displacement? You're funny.

  • How many RB26's did you build this week ? I love the RB, but the VR38 is a great engine.

There is no replacement for displacement. You can do it with rev's, but you and I don't have the money to do it at that RPM level for long.

Displacement and boost over all. Check out my other videos if you doubt any of my RB26 experience. Going on 8 years experience in the US now with the RB26 and GT-R's.

  • Don't question my automotive knowledge of the RB or any Nissan over two sentences on an internet video site dude. I happen to be piecing together an RB24 for a project gts-t so I'm not some shithead 'fanboi' either like you obviously presumed me to be.

You talk alot of shit for a guy who believes the largest displacement RB available is a 2.9L?

  • An RB24...wow. Amazing. Fanboi.

Largest displacement normally available RB block was 2997 cc. Not saying you can't bore and stroke it further, its just generally not done. OS Giken has offered 3.1 liters, just not around much.

If you have any doubt of my actual RB26 knowledge , do a Google search for my name - Sean Morris - or my handle - tyndago.

  • I don't care about you and your name first of all, I don't care if you have own RIPS and run 9's all day long. Anyone who says an RB24 is a 'fanboi' project is so out of touch with reality it's not even funny. In your sad attempt to create e-controversy you have made yourself out to look like an idiot. Please go and buy yourself a foxbody mustang and leave the Import's and real tuning to those of us who actually own these car's. Stupid wannabe poser.

  • Well then - ask RIPS about me. He has my phone number. I talk to Rob on the phone every now and then.

An RB24 is based off an RB20. An RB20 is a $200 engine. Whats the point ? Might as well do an SR or KA . At least the KA is a 2.4 liter.

  • Hahaha KA instead of an RB24? Holy fuck now I know your stupid.

  • I don't want a KA-T thanks, already had one. If I wanted all mid-range and no top end I'd get fucking scooby.

  • So you base engine performance primarily onnnn... displacement, how much boost it's running, and how much it cost? Wow

  • Correction my fat-headed friend, RB24s come in two variation's. One using the RB20 block, with an RB26 crank/rods, and 82mm pistons (4-age work), and a 26 head. OR the true rb24 utilized 83mm pistons and a 73.7 rb26 crank with std rb26 rods. 121.5mm rod center, 21mm pin. I advise against that build as it leaves the walls at .080 and I'll pass on that thanks. So in conclusion, technically neither variant is based solely off an RB20.

  • You see - I don't care about an RB24. I really don't. I could care less. Why waste my time on less displacement. The RB26 is already small enough.

You build all the RB24's you want. I will still make more power, more torque everywhere with an RB26. More power and more torque everywhere with an RB28 , more power and more torque with an RB30.

  • And the saddest thing about that comment ladies and gentlemen? He didn't even know the existence of RB30's until a few hours ago.. the topic was never about which RB made most power, it was about you making the ridiculous comment that the VR38 was a superior engine to all the RB line. Remember that? Shithead? That's where this all started, but it's cool you distorted it all in your own head that way. You sound totally rational and not suffering from any kind of psychosis. Peace.

  • (this is my younger brother's acct)

Um.......do you not comprehend that NO engine is exactly what it's supposed to be? the RB30 is 2997cc's, bro. Tyndago knows these car's forwards and backwards; you don't man; how many skylines have you worked on? Nissan developed a NEW engine and drivetrain for a NEW car. RB's nice, but it doesn't fit with the current demands; I've seen skylines get EATEN by CURRENT exotics. This new one? Not undefeated, but dang near.

  • And besides that, stock for stock, the R34's not even that awe- inspiring; it's sick, don't get me wrong, but I have watched footage of an EvoVIII, and an STi Spec C take down ALL the past generations of the GT-R at Tsukuba. OH, and while you're dissing subaru, the Spec C won the race, followed by the evo, then the R34; and don't say these guys can't drive; the R34 had Keiichi Tsuchiya behind the wheel.

  • hmmmmm

  • Hehe

  • DAMN,that down shift was sweet~~

  • dats sum mean laugh.....i would probably laugh the same way or even meaner.
