Anybody can set up a proxy server out of there home and with the ip address get access to things in that country otherwise not accessible to you. Your provider has already done scans of the whole entire internet to block website and they put them on a ban list, so if you try to access on your network they will say you are restricted with a proxy you can get passed it, because your using another connection.

that is your routers IP address, and 127.0.0.1 is your local address, we all have the same/similar ones.

its a bad thing that the maker of the video tried to oversimplify, it is extremely misleading.

your real IP address that can be used to see you location would look like 99.467.626.48 (the #'s were chosen at random)

@WiiNintendoMii Thats a private ip address, its so your home can have several devices and only use 1 ip address. Your router has your real public ip address. Search online "whats my ip address" there websites that will tell you. Or log into your router to find it.

check out platinum hide ip 3.0.9.6, As soon as i installed it, all i needed to do is start the program and click on "hide my ip" and thats it. It is awesome because it tells you what your ip address is before and after you hide your ip and also gives you the option to change the country. It can be downloaded via torrent or if you want to go the legal route, check out platinum hide ip here on youtube.

@mrwindowsshit1 connecting to 2 different proxies won't hide you anymore than just using one, if the person trying to find your ip address has enough power to actually have a warrant to go through the logs of one proxy then it will be just as easy for them to get a second warrant for the second proxy and if someone was to get a warrant for those logs then it must be really serious and if it is that serious proxy's will not help.

an informative video. i don't wanna be a smart ass, but here are some remarks, which i think are important: one thing is, there are different kinds of proxy servers. some DO forward the client's IP address, some don't. that's IMHO important when choosing a proxy. the other thing is, the geo location based on the IP address may be accurate in cities. in my case, geo location is accurate only to 50 miles (i live in a rural area). the area code of my phone number is much more accurate.

Proxies are dangerous in a way. You see, the owner of the proxy could obtain your browser cookies such as log in and such. Since people would most likely use a proxy to bypass bans, they have to log in and once they do that, the owner of the proxy has your login info. Understood?

Except for

A) IP address don't show your exact location, it's an address RENTED out (in most cases) to your modem and often, your IP address will change (Dynamic IP)

B) They can't just hack and connect, I wish it was that simple but some exploitation of a kind would be required if they want to just "connect and hack"
