In ancient times most of west africa was part of nigeria via the caliphates, kwararafa and yoruba, benin empires the real cause was colonialisation. The country is less than 60 years old and has come along way. Focusing on the negatives is not a true reflection.

@ted1165 No side will run out of money and money usally ends wars. 2:05 that maschete is .50 U.S. cents 1.00 if you buy it at a hardware store in the U.S. Secound thing that ends wars is lack of manpower. Africa is one of the biggest continemts in the world full of starved and deseased people. I f you promise them food most will join up or you can force them like a draft. Only end to the war would be nuclear or Britian/U.S. coming in and saying no like in Iraq.

Movie well done. Its so easy for everybody who lives abroad to have comments and ways to solve all the violance in Africa. War is now inside our neighbourhoods, in our houses, in our schools, everywhere - and still we hear about how wrong it was to build a wall around the ones we love and try to protect and called the wall apartheid.

What history of africa are you talking about 6 countries and making a general statement about a whole continent. European history has had far worst atrocities, this matter of discussion rewuires the use of common sense and understanding. You seem to lack the latter. The reality is that there are many african countries without problems that the media choose to ignore.

Yea, i have been to Lagos, and my dad has lived in Nairobi and traveled all over Africa. No wealth is spread in Nigeria, it goes to the warlords and goverment officials

Yes because they are the rulers. Lagos in 1 city of hundreds in Nigeria. You cant label a whole country by one city. Nigeria is a country of 450 tribal groups with differing cultures and structures. You havent seen the modern capital therefore you cant say its a horrible place to live in thats plain ignorance.

about the 450 cultures, that is one of the big reasons Africa (or Nigeria in this place) the warring factions can't get along, their differeing cultures and structures make the problems worse. How many cities in Nigeria have you been to, if you had been to 3 moderatly nice Nigerian cities you can't say that Nigeria isn't a horrible place. I have a bad story about when i was in Nigeria, so i know (a bit) of what these groups do to each other if they get in each others way (which they do a lot.)

Yes in a way that causes problems. I know alot about the country and have resided in the north, east west and middlebelt. Nigerias problems are too complicated to explain in a few words. In ancient times most of west africa was part of nigeria via the caliphates, kwararafa and yoruba, benin empires the real cause was colonialisation. The country is less than 60 years old and has come along way. Focusing on the negatives is not a true reflection.

When different groups of people are competeing for the same rescources they fight. The European tribes (fanks, huns, goths, gauls, Serbs, etc.....) have been fighting each other since before the middle ages... They've killed millions of each other and still fight to this day.. World War I & WWII... Bosnia... And over here in the Americas has been amongst the most bloody. Not only did the Europeans wipe out the Natives but the British/Americans wiped out the other European colonies.
