@rokarolla it slays me when supposed fans call Zeppelin a subpar live act because they refused to try and replicate the studio version s onstage and loved to improvise . What s lost in all that is the fact that the live versions are SO much more interesting , especially i f you have long since grown tired the handful of studio records as most longtime fans have .
ok people stop commenting on me im aware i made a mistake i retrakted my statement awihle ago after listening to their earlyer stuff. stop. their later stuff (before break up) (concerts) is not as good as their earlier stuff cause of the heroin buts till.
Led Zeppelin was never a live band but more a studio band and theres nothing wrong with that. I was going to see that I ws in England I almost ahd the tickets but right befor ei could buy them some one else got them so instead I went to a Clapton concert and he was awesome i also got to meet him but i still would have rather gone to Led Zep
? ZEPPELIN was a live band... theyre studio materials were just the baby in so many words of the songs.. until they took on stage and the songs grew and evolved...
@aaronaaronjarvis i beg to differ...........LZ was THE greatest STUDIO and LIVE band. On stage NO ONE can improv and FEEL the things that the MIGHTY ZEPP felt, that was the true FORCE, live.
Saw Zep in '70 and '71 at the old Boston Garden. First time they played for 4.5 hrs. and I met Plant and Page in a hallway - then the drumbeats to "Rock 'n Roll" started and then another 2 hours.....Incredible.
you payed 200 backs for the tickets so you cried when it ended .............................. i am just joking i cried when they told me all the tickets were sold
Holy mother of god this video is amazing. 5:00...wow...what else can you say? the rock gods Led Zeppelin came down and blessed the world with a spectacular show!! I cant stop watching it. Thanks for the video.
Zeppelin kicks ass! All these wannabe rock bands today can only TRY do what Zeppelin did, and never achieve the sound, mystique, following and raw power that Zeppelin had...and still has today.
Led Zep - that is 4 Frontmen, John P. Jones excells - now it is clear, that he is the force of musical sense, that decisively underlines the mighty 'sound' of the Zeppelin, enabling Jimmy Page's genius to unfold in an unseen brilliance of expression beyond words - the Wizard.
Jason Bonham finally reaches the unequalled drumming level of his father John Bonham.
Fantastic Bonzo jr.!
Robert'Percy'Plant is the Voice, expressive, compelling and bewilderingly sensualising!!!
I think most people don't realize how important Jones is to this mix. There is no Zep without him and he is fully the equal of Page and Plant. He is the Zep's thunder. I saw him live a few years ago and then I realized how important he is their sound. He plays with focused intensity and incredible power.
The Page and Plant shows sounded okay, but it just had this... "plain" sound without Jonesy, even with all the extra members. You can put the entire London Symphony Orchestra for all we care, but it still won't have the punch that Jonesy had with just his keyboards.
And BTW, Jason's pinky >>>>>>>>>>>>> Michael Bell.
yea he was the driving force in such songs like Achilles Last Stand, the Lemon Song, Dazed and Confused, and How Many More Times. About time someone gives credit where credit is due
Saugeil und vielen Dank für die Erinnerung und die Gefühle die zurück kommen wenn ich Dein Video seh !!! Es war dass beste Konzert in meinem Leben das ich erlebt habe !!! UNVERGESSLICH !! VIELEN DANK !!!
They will tour world wide, It is all but confirmed publicly...Jimmy page is going to make sure it happens...Roberto Plant won't back down either and neither will Jonsey, and Jason will be honored to tour with them, He might not do it like John, But he is still good and carries John's soul with him.
Plant's still singin' sharp with zero sustain, Page playing interesting chord progressions incredibly sloppy, decent bass playing. The drums sound pretty sharp, albiet slower than years ago. Yup, that's Zep! :)
Dead on accurate, but ya' know, all these technical criticisms don't amount to jack squat, I've seen technically perfect performers that bored me to tears. And what have all these 'diplomatic' critics done? That's right, Nothing. Zeppelin has legions of fans young old male female black and white who can only dream about having been there to see it.
I don't listen to the records anymore. Led Zeppelin is a live band to me. The studio albums are a cage.

Miren, seran mas grandes, y aunque no este Bonham, Es la banda mas poderosa que alguna vez se pueda escuchar.
Let´s face it. They may be older, and even though Bonham is not there, They´re the most powerfull band you may ever listen

Jimmy Page is no where near as good as he was in his prime but the guy is 63 years old so that's to be expected.
From watching these crappy videos on YouTube with horrible camera video sound, I thought Led Zep did a great job.
Best band that ever lived to this point in time in my opinion.
