Yeah well even if you weave under it you could get kneed in the face or caught with a back fist.... so your logic is flawed, you can't judge an art by a single technique... that's ludicrous.
hmm a this is why a karate master would get his ass kicked agasnt a pro boxer this punch is a big swing which would give the boxer enough time to weave underneath it an counter it with a left hook
@iBeansOnToasTi i said profsional take another look at what i said before you say something i do know what im taking about i did boxing and judo for over a year
@VilsonFabricio but lets be honest... people really only watch these to see the fighting techniques instead of calculations, but you make a fair point =D
@ShotokanBleach That's not haito. Haito is a little like shuto-uchi, except your tump tucked in as possible. I don't know if you call it different in your style but that's what haito is in my style.
@ShotokanBleach Well I'm not sure about you because not all the club are the same even if its the same style. In my club, we use the edge of the hand to strike and the hand is like shuto-uchi. Is this the way you train, like in the video?
I love how they make everything sound so dangerous, "The karate punch if done correctly can deliver over 4000 tonnes of force, its like being hit by a nuclear explosion."
Some of you guys are missing the point, the move works against the standard guy, that guy that thinks he can fight but actually has never trained in any kind of combat, the one thats always trying to start fights, you know the guy. No point debating the effectiveness of it. It's sore, that's all that matters. :-)
@coolmsky15 That's not what I meant. It's a wide motion that can be easily dodged, and it depends on shoulder muscles that aren't fast. I'm sure it's very painful, but you'd have to grab the person first to make it work. There are other moves you can do when grabbing someone that are faster, more painful, and harder to avoid.
Difference between this and a Haymaker is that it comes from under your line of sight whereas the Haymaker starts within your line of sight. Making this a better technique than the Haymaker but... it is still not awesome to utilize because of the following reasons: It is still as avoidable of an attack as a cross or reverse punch style attack and if you are not properly conditioned you will simply hurt yourself more than your opponent. However, with conditioning this is extremely deadly : /
@ccslax6 thats why you condition your bones and deaden your nerves in karate, Using makiwara boards and a few exercises where you practice continuous crossing forearms with your partner to the point your arms are numb deadens your nerves and calcifies your bones
@ccslax6 No, this kind of strike is meant for the neck or jaw. The neck is too soft to break a wrist, and you'd make contact with your forearm if you aimed for the jaw. So as long as you're not aiming for his skull, you'll be fine.

@mutsnuts1989 Not if you train to condition it, with alot of martial arts techniques, you need to train alot, not purely to master the skill, but to also condition your body physically in order to effectively use the techniques
@mutsnuts1989 No. We train ridge hand and forearm strikes in the dojo all the time and I've never experienced any injury delivering these kinds of strikes.
who the **** lets you come close in a battle? and you must stay in battle stance(position) as you can see the grey guy doesnt even know on what world he is ;\
This can be a very powerful move if you manage to land it. There are videos of people breaking a baseball bat held by another person with this hit. That takes amazing speed and force. Yes it looks like a haymaker, but if you manage to land it with half the force those people do it , it would cause some serious damage. Also probably requires some really strong inner forearms.
Ignorant retards with no experience whatsoever in Martial arts talk about how real the UFC is, ALL OF THE MOVES that are the MOST EFFECTIVE are ILLEGAL in the UFC. You know why, because if UFC fighters used the REAL Asian techniques you die.
@youngstunna79 Very true. In nearly all forms of the martial arts Asian or otherwise, the point of the art is to either cripple your opponent or Kill your opponent. But don't count out UFC and other mixed martial arts fighters just yet. Muy Thai strikes could easily kill a man as well as many judo, karate and many others that they use all the time. There goal isn't to kill their opponent, just to beat the living shit out of him. Just look up any mixed martial arts ko mixes and you'll get it. ^_^
@stoneman472 I know man, watch a lot of MMA, I am a meathead. I practiced TKD, Hapkido for 10 years and now Muay Thai, Brazilian Jujitsu and Wrestling. The thing is I am taught so many death moves, I can't use it in the streets. The only one that Doesn't kill them is a very easy move.
I can tell you it, it is very simple. KICK THEM IN THE BALLS, LOL. It is TRUE. Bruce Lee's book is full of this. He got a gun, kick him in the balls. He got a knife punch or kick him in the balls, poke eyes, LOL.
The moves that don't kill that are effective that are NOT allowed in the UFC are BALL KICKS, punches to the Balls. The FIGHT ENDS THERE. Sum DUDE fucks with you, KICK HIM IN THE BALLS. I can pretty much kill you instantly. All the shit I know is one move death moves. I don't want to use the techniques, but I know them instinctively. Although, the last fight I got into, I HELD back and threw punches only. I spar regularly too (BJJ, wrestling, kickboxing), so I'm technically a ninja.
@youngstunna79 I know ball hits believe me I co-instruct a self defense class and thats the first thing i teach but a ball hit is easy to guard if you expect it coming. Say he side steps or blocks with his knee or (and it's a wonder i can pull this off) actually catch it with his thighs? I believe it or not broke a guy's shin buy doing just that and twisting. I think the main reason they don't allow it is because these guys want to have kids lol
@youngstunna79 you think rupturing both their balls will end the fight? You need to shut their body down so it doesn't work anymore so they can't harm you or anyone else. You take out their balls, and then hesitate for just a moment, and in that time they knock you down and stomp on your face.
if you ever get into a street fight, kicking the balls is a very very VERY good thing to do, but don't be confident that it'll stop'em in their tracks. Follow the ball kick with a real death move
@soapnublets Uh, I know "one hit" death moves.A punch to the balls is good too. That is actually less severe than other moves you can do that are death moves. There are a bunch of death moves.Trust me man, if u met me, you would know what I am talking about, if I showed you. Balls hits are not the death moves, but useful in street fights if u don't want to kill them.HapKiDo (pretty much Jujitsu or Chin Na) is VERY violent. Hapkido is illegal in the UFC, Joint Manipulation, a lot of death strikes
@soapnublets I heard a story where an old lady KILLED a robber because she used the techniques. MANY of the striking techniques in Hapkido are death strikes. I practice the death strikes everyday that none of the MMA schools I have been to ever teach and SHOULDN'T because of their lack of a code of conduct (everyone just a meathead). Asian Martial Arts preach a code of conduct (I have to recite a creed every time I practice).
@soapnublets are you fucking kidding me? RUPTURING both their balls? That end the fight allright..... I ddn't believe you EVER got hit in the balls and know what kind of breath stopping pain it is. "Rupturing" would definitely end the fight, unless they are a spartan on some serious drugs.
Yep, that technique is powerful indeed, but you can block or dodge that easily (if you know how defend yourself). BUT, depends on circumstances, this technique could be delivered to the opponent.
The best way to use this strike is after doing something with your other arm so that your body is blocking your opponent's view of the hand doing the kote uchi. Usually a brushing or outside block.
Sure, it isn't the greatest strike ever, nor is it very versatile. However, done correctly in the right situation, (just like a lot of "obscure" karate techniques) it can be deadly.
@bbqtabasconinja lol never said its impossible to hit , just saying its easy to dodge cuz u see it coming , i rader use a combination to knock out somebody higher chance of damage
@heedokush I understand what you are saying but this move is a basic one.Instead of using this you can(after a combo ofcourse) spin and go for the neck.(more effective with an open-handblade hand)
@stewiefan9 why don't you try it on somebody einstein... if you canreplicate it i guess that's genius....wide extending arms can also be grappled or your stupid wrist lock in the video might work
It's amazing how somebody who practices martial art can improve his reaction time. a professional fighter indeed only has about 0.15 seconds to react, that's why sometimes it seems, they can predict attacks.
@klauwn17 i have lots of sparring and fight experience, both in muay thai and tkd. And from my point of view, this move are dangerous for the the person who is throwing it from a trained fighter view. I could easily joint lock someone who throw this, and possibly breaking their arm. Or blocking it and throw a quick jab return, or amy chances to slip my hand to the back of the fighters hand and start my elbow and knee......
@jazzysam1314 Mate it doesnt sound like you know what you are talking about. I live, eat, sleep and train karate ( shotokan) style. Believe me if you are fit enough and a good karateka you will kill a man with this blow. You can be whoever you wanna be you wont capatalize on this move, only block it if you are quick enough
@mirageF1AZ again, another youtube fighter, cool....i really don't bother arguing, pointless. All i can tell you is i have been trained professionally in muay thai, and have also a blackbelt in tkd since i was 17.Your arrogant will end you up dead on the street as you think no one can block or duck these shitty move, but i am also very sure you probably havn't even fought in a real fight as saying things like a good krateka would kill a man with this blow shows how dumb ur.No offence, just bn real
@jazzysam1314 Readying your Jabber makes me wonder who the real youtube-warrior is? Certainlay not me but most probably you...a true martial artist will never go on about telling people how manny qualifications he has got. I dont have to proove anything all I can tell you is that I have got more than one person's blood on my name. And yes I have been in more than one fight for my life... If you would do the effort to go and read about my people you will understand ...POES!
@jazzysam1314 listen i have just read the comments u have put to they karate fighters I AM A MUAY THAI FIGHTER and u cant be that good at muay thai because one of the main rules is respect and u have not got that my friend
we get told karate moves as well in my style because ma sensei is a black belt in muay thai and ashihara karate
@klauwn17 Actually many of the modern people can duck or block. Because nowadays we learn sports such as badminton, table tennis, tennis, these activities shortern our reaction time. I am pretty sure people who play these sports can successfully dodge or block...unless the force is too powerful and break his or her arm
@klauwn17 lol? i box, this is a slow attack, i understand maybe if he grabs my hand and swings, im a little distracted, but i cold usually duck something like this, this is a haymaker, its slow, and with the amount of momentum he has, after its ducked he'll be spinning the other way

wow only retard would not be able to duck xD
baskorvv 2 years ago
@baskorvv
in fight this takes not even half a second. only retards? an average person has a much longer reaction time.
if you're not used to fight you have no chance of ducking here. looks like you have no idea of martial arts.

i got my reaction time to 0.1354

@chris22452245
It's amazing how somebody who practices martial art can improve his reaction time. a professional fighter indeed only has about 0.15 seconds to react, that's why sometimes it seems, they can predict attacks.

i got the 3 and the 1 the wrong way around
im at 0.3154
although i do think i got my reaction time down to 0.1 something a while ago

@mirageF1AZ soldier on, you youtube warrior. Yeah, and that one persons blood was probably yourself....

@klauwn17 Actually many of the modern people can duck or block. Because nowadays we learn sports such as badminton, table tennis, tennis, these activities shortern our reaction time. I am pretty sure people who play these sports can successfully dodge or block...unless the force is too powerful and break his or her arm
brianluk2006 5 months ago
@klauwn17 lol? i box, this is a slow attack, i understand maybe if he grabs my hand and swings, im a little distracted, but i cold usually duck something like this, this is a haymaker, its slow, and with the amount of momentum he has, after its ducked he'll be spinning the other way
