  • From what I know he was real good - Bruce Reid for as long as he lasted. Real quick too.

  • @robelinda2 man you are the best in youtube....i wasnt born in the 90's...had it not been for you i'd have never seen so many classic vintage masterpieces...whoever you are, wherever you are, hats off Mr.Youtube Legend..\m/

  • sorry for too many comments rob, but at 6:14, amarnath looks like jacques kallis..:)

  • who's that nathan bracken like bowler @5:35?

  • @shreekoo Dude, thats the amazing Bruce Reid, awesome bowler.

  • @5:00 The highlight of this vid..:)

  • give gavaskar a slazenger and see him smack almighty sixes..:)

  • Your video went viral on Lithuania

  • Steve Waugh's 2nd career test! Really India should of won this series, they dominated in Melbourne but batted too slow chasing 125, not worrying about the weather, and they dominated this test but the Aussies hung on.

This was Australia's worst ever period, they copped consecutive beatings by the Windies, lost the Ashes easily, lost to NZ for the first time, drew this series, and then lost to NZ again after this series. Border then threatened to resign but luckily he didnt.

  • @robelinda2 Amarnath also scored a century in this match. Please post a video of that if possible.

  • people talk about the wristy style of batting of vishvanath, azhar, laxman. .. but i think gavaskar was equally capable of playing an attractive innings. he did do that during the last few years of his career, when he had better batsmen like sreekanth, vengsarkar, gaikwad and then the younger lot siddhu, azhar shastri. but guess he supressed his style for too long. and thats the image tht stuck to him.

  • get well soon sunny!

  • jis trah k attack k khilaaf gavaskar ne 13 centrien kieeen hain tendulkar 7 b ker jata to barreee baat hoti

  • can you make the sound on your videos when you create them. they are otherwise brilliant. thanks.

  • 'We' and 'us' are never great words to use in a cricket video. Unless any of you Indians, Pakistanis, English and Australians have PERSONALLY participated in the Test match in question, the usage of the term 'we' is inappropriate.

More intellectual objectivity and less jingoism is what is needed in discussing cricket on YouTube.

Magnificient knock by Gavaskar. Bruce Ried was a very potent bowler for his short career.

  • @Imrankniazi , True that. Same goes with football fans, especially those rowdy ManU fans.....

  • @Imrankniazi thats a very good suggestion man. i will keep that in mind for sure.

  • Cant believe India did not win this series. Typical of us - satisfied in personal records. We played so slow in this match and at Melbourne which didnot leave any chance of victory.

  • @nikcairns Same thing happened in 2003/04 at Sydney, Sachin batted so slow....

  • @robelinda2 It wasn't Sachin's fault. We had a full final day to bowl the Aussies out, but our inexperienced bowling attack wasn't capable of sustaining that performance throughout a series. Plus that SCG wicket was pretty flat, and the Aussies had a couple of lucky LBWs go their way. You have to understand -- India hadn't won too much abroad until that point, so we had to make sure we were safe.

  • @adi87tya , Plus Sachin was going through a bad patch......2004, 2005 and 2006 were his worst years in his career....

  • @TheIndiansRock Yeah...

  • @robelinda2 to be fair to sachin.........he was pretty much out of form before that innings....he hardly drove anything front of square on off.....we still had a day and 6-7 overs to bowl aussies out but as always we had no bowling other than kumble.....i have mentioned it earlier too......we never had a great team........just a great player here or there.....off late we had 4-5 greats together hence we won a lot at home and didn't lose many abroad......so it helped our ranking

  • @robelinda2 and god knows when we will have great(s) in future...if IPL stays we might have to wait beyond judgement day......btw are people still abusing you......u know since we lost @ lords and Trent Bridge, people might vent out at ur channel.......best to ignore such buffoons .......keep posting.......gr8 job and thx

  • @robelinda2 hahaha...u don't leave any occasion to belittle "little" man...do you? :-)))

  • @pritammstr What did i do?

  • @robelinda2

And that GFC? Flopdulkar just couldn't help himself, he had to crash the world economy didn't he?

  • @jumpnjza2 SACHIN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD GOING DOWN THE FUCKING TOILET.

  • Thanks for this. BTW Do you have his 166 from 1st test same series. I saw glimpses of that in ESPN legends series. If have time, do upload that one.

Also do you have by any chance 1986 tied test played in Chennai ? Some amazing innings in that one. It would be cracking upload.

    Thanks rob.

  • Thanks for uploading this video. Such impeccable timing and foot movement by the little master. Bring back memories of those good old days of Vishy and Gavaskar.
