Guys we all love and cherish our old music, but it is not sacrosanct. No need to go abusive and no need to condemn this. I found it quite funny and remarkably well-made - see how well Raj Kapoor's actions, mannerisms and lip sync are well made use of in what is obviously a comic song (I don't understand Telugu), but it sounds good, with great rhythm and singing.

Well who are we to decide what is real music. Lovers of Pankaj Mullick puke at Mera Joota hai Japani - they say that that aint music at all and lovers of Shankar Jaikishen hate Lady Gaga.

I love all forms of Music - be it Richie Blackmore's "guitaring" or Angus Young's antics, OP Nayyar's rhythm, SD Burman's melody or Ilayaraja's variations!

First, Mera Joota Hai Japani is one of my all time fav. songs, so I dont mean any insult to the song or Raj Kapoor here.

Next, people who know Telugu really understand that the song above aint no filthy All that the song says is

"I'm special! I'm different and I'm the Hero" ... the only thing that I am interested in here is .. how closely the mannersim of Raj Kapoor matches the words of the Telugu song!

bhardwaj70 has done great disservice to lovers of good music and cinema.SankarJaikishan <sailendra,Jaipuri behind the screen and Rajkapoor had created marvelous art piece which can never be recreated or imitated. This remix with aTelugu song has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I request You Tube to immediately remove it.

@sadanandaraovajjha Well put. I have treasured memories of my Father singing and enjoying the music and films of this era. This video is offensive and insulting. It would be great if the media could promote the masterpieces created by all those involved in those times here on British TV also. Just to show what real art and music can do. Our kids just get fed rubbish enough
