  • Hey, what movie was Adam Beach making there?

  • @SairenDreams been on a res, donated (lost at poker) 50+ dollars to the Seminole people's

  • I think at this point natives are better off on the Rex with their own laws and gvt. Out in main America is shit getting way worse with drugs violence greedy corrupt politicians and Jersey shore. Homeless on the rise soon we'll all be living indigenous

  • @pistolpete667 say that after you been on a res

  • is this from a full documentary??

  • if your mexica thumps up

  • Im native american from the navajo tribe. And i cant relate to smoke signals or other native movies up north. We are different, the accent and mannerisms

  • @pacman491 Yeah. I get ya. In this country all natives have been lumped together, and you all have many different customs and languages.

  • Yea native pride all the way

  • Comment if your Cherokee

  • Yay for Native Americans!-)

  • I'm a big fan of native movies! :D I'm glad there are more coming now ^^

  • im native and ppl try to fight and they say racist slurs like dirty indians and res monkeys and ect

  • I saw this film. It was done very well. Why aren't there more films like this.

  • It's so funny back then the white people used to call US Natives, savages. When THEY ate their own people to survive back then. When NEVER did that.

  • where is this clip from?

  • Savages came from Pocahontas

  • great video, im glad to see the topic covered....now please support new native cinema by a bay area documentary who is of the metis people in northern cali...

    /watch?v=PCgvYjyn6GI

  • OMG EPIC

  • DoctorBudd...your life sounds boring...and they do make movies like that all the time and show TV shows like that....Like Seriously! Like seinfeld, Like Friends, LIke Days of our lives...and other white movies.

  • I WANT much more films about them.

  • check out the documentary .. Reel Injun, really tells it all really well, honors a great nation in movie history in a good informative ways.

  • kwoet one kwoet one kwoet one kwoet one kwoet one kwoet one!!!!!!!!!!! peeeep gaaaaaame!!!!!!!!!

  • - I agree Native Americans need to do their Own Movies

  • I am part Cherokee and the Cherokee side of my family not many people i know from that side its unfortunate i should know who my people are.

  • cvetts, I see what you mean, but they also intermarried. That left a lot of confused people when children were forced to be one way when their hearts screamed for their heritage. Neither side wanted the other and it left children in the middle. As for the bigots that talk about disease and welfare/alcoholism, the hen that cackles loudest is the one that lays the egg...It's how they afford internet.

  • What about those of us who grew up being told we are one thing and find out we are something else? I am part Comanche. I want to learn about them. I support what this film clip embodies.

  • I soo wanna see that movie <3

  • they killed the white lady, oh my god!

  • chris your a ashkanazic traitor, man, asian/hispanic with really bad std's portrayed as natives??

  • man the asian/hispanics ones are getting bad, why did we invent std meds??

  • i HAVE AN IDEA OF A MOVIE CALLED "THE TRUTH" ABOUT THE LIES AND HOW EUROPEAN FOREIGNERS COME TO THIS SPIRITUAL LAND AND POISON IT!!!! REMEMBER THERES MORE ANCIENT HISTORY TO THIS LAND BEFORE RICH&FILTHY EUROPE INVADED!!

  • @ninlandon..Same with the white trash homeless, and al the people who r getting welfare, food stamps,Desability..

  • When the White man came, they took our land. They removed us from our homes, Slaughtered our family and friends. Our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers, died by the hand and the ways of the white men. Hollywood dictated in their movies a false truth about the Natives and their cultures. Now it is up to our people to show them how we are able to take back what they once took. Example "CASINOS"

  • natives are all fat smelly alcholics who should all be killed

  • @ninlandon you're a fat smelly alcoholic! And for the death part, well you can stay alive and be an example of what the human race should not be.

  • @ninlandon Uh, they are NATIVE AMERICANS!!!! You are a EUROPEAN!!!! Get used to it!!! -Signed * An Educated Black Man

  • Hey, Helldog, I'm mixed blood and proud. Thus far, in my life at 44, my native bloodline is by two adoptions. One into the Shawnee People, the other into the Seneca People. And, no one questions my being Native. It is how you present yourself. I know the culture and the traditions. Also a Native re-enactor, so I can help my brothers de-Hollywoodize all of these stereotypes: hand-slapping-the-mouth warcry, &c. Only the government "decides" who's native, who's not. Yeah, right!

  • @ongawesgone I am part Comanche. I want to learn of my people. Some of my ancestors lost their way and only now are some of us beginning to learn about who we are.

  • hey you forgot about dance me outside that movie is that shit ey

  • I always will love native Americans I'm just addicted to their culture.

  • im really attracted to natives now because my last boyfriend was native and he was totally sweet and caring

  • at 1:34 she is absolutely WRONG native americans are still not accepted. America these days dont celebrate native american holidays...they got Christmas, Valentines Day, They celebrate Presidents and fallen hero's Indipendence Day none of these have anything to do with the real men and women that sacrificed their homes, their lives so the white people could have a place to stay...We very much have to stand our ground or else this nation will continue to trample all over us.....

  • i lol white people when they tell me they are native

  • @helldog134 haha, I always think, aww shit here we go.... 10 minutes later I carry on with my life.

  • Listen to their words. This is so true but yet not heard.

  • Such an amazing documentary!

  • i still dont get it ..thyre native americans ..but thy look asians..im asian ..i recgnized it ..i know thy own america long time ago..the white ppol came and tke america from thm

  • @angelzoshin Ehh .. Us native americans look asian? xD

  • @angelzoshin Lol ive been told i look asian XD and im Native. And that is so true we lived here before any white man came XD

  • There are not indians!!! My Gosh i hate when people call native Americans indians there not effin indians.. people from india are indians!

  • @TheMexicanMuffinx3 They are not native Americans they came from Asia. My Gosh i hate when people call Asian turds that migrated to America native americans.

  • @TheMexicanMuffinx3 although many natives today refer to be called indians because they do not wish to be associated with a group of whites who called themselves native at the turn of the century during the immigration boom.

  • hahaha The Warrior look, I love it

  • I love these people. Dances With Wolves is my favorite movie because they depict them so well. I am Mexican-American, and I'm so sick of white people calling themselves "Americans" and acting like they own this country. In my opinion, the only real "Americans' are the native Americans.

  • @erosr1

Dances with Wolves doesn't depict them so well actually lol.......but its a nice story.

  • @GanNing89 Are you native American? I was reading that native Americans only form about 1 % of the total population of this country. All the rest were slaughtered. That's pretty tragic. At least, in Latin America, our people have survived through mixing.

  • This film inspire me a lot, because i am a Tibetan and i can feel the situation of native American, Thank you so much.

  • thanks for sharing this~joy and peace

  • I am white and I say I am so proud of you go go go!

  • i met adam beach! he was a cool dude! :)

  • @CrazyNative4 He's on my myspace and has always been such a nice guy

  • I absolutly LOVE Smoke Signals! It is the best! Adam Beach is the best!

  • DOCTER BUTT IS AN APPLEL0L

  • @thoostorm3

thoostorm3 is a dildo licker! LOL!

I'm going to tell you like I told every other hater. At least I'm educated. LOL!

  • the stars of this movie are canadian this is why we need to start using indigenous

  • you know there are indigenous people native to canada too just like the USA.

  • Indiansploiation;)

  • i still have it.

  • I LUV THAT MOVIE

  • I really liked the movie. Thanks for posting this.

  • I think they need to make a movie about natives like me! You know the ones that don't live on the res, the ones that live just like everyone else and go through a mainstream day to day life. Like seriously I get tired of all this rez dog/dances with wolves bullshit! It's the 21st century! Are any of my other native brothers and sisters with me?

  • I as well don't live on a rez and i do agree that we as well as the ones who do live on the rez should get recognition but i also think that because there are more native people living on reservations than in modern every day society they get more atention. that is just the way it is.

  • @howslife94

Yeah. But the point I was trying to make was.

They never fully portray the fact that some of us live in two totally different worlds simulataneously. And I'm just curious of others like me and their perception.

  • @DoctorBudd Keep it up. Maybe the white man will become extinct soon.

  • Comment removed

  • @DoctorBudd Yup, I'm here. :D

  • I'm with you in a sense, but I never forget where I came from, and always participate in my Clans PowWows

  • @DoctorBudd No, I"m not. You call yourself Native but you call stories of life on the rez "bull shit". You urban "Natives" are so removed from the culture, it's an insult to hear you speak as if you were ever a part of it. Your "Native" blood may be impressive dinner conversation for your white cronies, but you know nothing of what being Native is. It's the 21st century and Natives are still living in 3rd world conditions while you go about your "mainstream day to day life". Fuck you.

  • @DoctorBudd O you mean sellouts Yeah no doubt.

  • @DoctorBudd: I agree with that to a point. Like i get Where your coming from....But....If they film people like us...It most likely would just be a "normal" Movie. Whereas The Rez Dog stuff is.....A little more Under spoken...But yet outspoken... Its like We live..."Normal" Lives. and what most film makers want to capture is The Fact that our people... Our poverty is kind of under the Radar. Now Do they Show The corrupt part and why....No! But im With yeh on this one...Its hard to see what our

  • @DoctorBudd

I think it's very important to get back to spirituality. You, as Natives, have that heritage of sacred traditions and rituals and the instructions of how to live on earth in a sacred/good manner. You should treasure it. And those movies help to make it visible for all people. It's important to keep it alive. But I understand, that you want to see a portrayal of your life how it is now. I would like to know about that, too. Just my two cents. Blessings to you.

  • @DoctorBudd yeah because youre life is so exiting, that sounds like a great movie

  • @NastyNate099 my friend, i recommend transformers or maybe a chuck norris movie for you.

  • @DoctorBudd Do you live in tee pees, How much casino money do you get, do you get free college I hear that all the time I seen the Rez, life like you I also live in todays society I am glad to hear that there is other native bros like me out there. J Black Bull.

  • @DoctorBudd exactly. I'm sick of being looked at funny by whites AND skins just because I'm not from the rez. It's bullshit.

  • @DoctorBudd i hope you can help me out here with this q, was the amityville horror true about the tribal chief in that house possessing the murderer and killed his family?, also i swear i have seen the guy with the long air from smoke signals before in films...but i can't figure where =(

  • Hello there, what Doc is this? and if it helps, I'm White Mt. Apache

  • looks like a good movie. i wish i could see it. though im not a native myself, i like to keep an open mind about most things. i'm actually interested about native american culture cause all i hear in school is about the indian slaughtering the WHITE man, and the white man was just a peaceful people who came here to trade with the indian. but now i get to hear things that pretty much turn that stereotype around.

  • Try watching, Alcatraz is not an Island, Return of Navajo Boy, and Incident at Oglala

  • @badimere586 INFORMATE BIEN!!!!! LA HISTORIA DE AMERICA .LOS BLANCOS LLEGARON PARA ARRASAR ROBAR Y ANIQUILAR A UN PUEBLO ENTERO GENTE CON TRADICIONES,CULTURA.EL HOMBRE BLANCO PACIFICO?????les robaron las tierras, sin importarles nada...a cambio de MENTIRAS Y TRATADOS FALSOS.HOY EN DIA VIVEN EN RESERVAS como animales de zoo..

  • The first 2:58 of this clip is from the 2003 documentary, IMAGES OF INDIANS: HOW HOLLYWOOD STEREOTYPED THE NATIVE AMERICAN. This film received the 2004 Western Heritage Award for Outstanding Documentary from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

  • i really do wish they had more native american movies, being part cherokee i would really love to see more on the nunna-da-ul-tsun-yi or the trail of tears and the horror of how the europeans treated native americans and how they still treat them i have seen bury my heart at wounded knee and it was one of the best movies ive ever seen a tv show would be great too we need to keep the history alive

  • I was married to a choctaw for 14 years...and they do have great sense of humor...he was from a family of 6 boys all born within a year of each other here in OK.

I went on to have 3 little Indian boys

  • OMG! I am all for more contemporary Native movies.I wonder if Natives really have any idea just how romantisized and sterotyped they are by nonNatives.Just like the man said, they are seen as "nobel savages" but not really as people. I love hearing about Natives from Natives! Not sleazy romance novels written by nonNative women who are so old I'm surprised they even remeber what sex is!As a hopeless romantic, I would LOVE to see a book or movie where a NDN guy falls for-*gasp* an NDN girl!

  • i'll get on writing that for you

  • :)I can't wait! REAL Indian romance had never been depicted to my knowledge! Laters!

  • I wonder if we found weed? That would be awesome.

  • NATIVE AMERICANS ROCK!

  • Don't let them take OUR land agian....say no to illegal imigration. OUR native america futures depend on it....30 percent of our native american jobs have already be taken. Our reservations have already been infected with drugs and gangs of the illegal mexicans. Now our Educational funds, healthcare, and alowment checks are being attacked due to the notpaying taxes. Soon our funds will be cut leaving our poor and elderly to fend for themself :(

  • The mexican president stated publically that the Native Americans of North America's land is the Mexican government's land. The mexican preisdent wants to allow all mexicans into america tax free....this attacks OUR native americans funds, education, and health care. No Mexican is enrolled in any of our north america native american tribe's rolls. the natives that is here in USA has Always been here..we nor our ancestors never cross into mexico. People of mexico's ancestors never was here.

  • back in 1492 there was no such thing as a border that divides america from mexico. southwest tribes that lived inbetween mexico an america migrated south during the relocation act. and some migrated north..

  • im going to make a diffrence!!

  • Pow-wow highway was the first
