I think that's a Pharoah Sanders sample. I've been using Redrum for sampling after I chop samples with Audacity. Once my laptop gets fixed, ill try using NN-XT.
Thanks, and thats a Dope ass beat sounds like some Blu & Exile shit I just heard on the radio
If u really wanna make a good sampled beat either use reason rewire to cubase or other recording software or just use recycle... using nn-xt is retarded. u coulda made this beat a lot better
R U kid'n me??? I coulda been doin' this the whole time??? That's what I've been askin' propellerheads for the longest...I'm usin' NN-19 to take in samples 'n shit, but knew the NN-XT was for somethin' 'cuz I used to sample into it awhile back!!! I'm on it tonight, bro....THANKS, CRHUBER!!!
i believed i left a comment a while ago before. But if i didn't dope beat. I use propellerhead programs my self. They are the best thing seriously. I'm a beginner but I would be honored if you could take the time to hear something i did so far. Peace
@Crhuber2008 I did not post a vid yet on youtube. I will post a vid very soon. I do have a vid on youtube if you type in, piranhas eating shrimp. You will see my name fortgreene31. In that vid you will see my piranhas eating shrimp and a beat i did you could hear it in the background. Peace.
That's probably true but another thing thats dope about the NN-XT is that you can chop up a wav sample without converting it to a rex file, much like what an ARS-10 does. If you open an NNXT and delete the whatever sample is in it / load the one you wanna chop and it automatically spreads it out and changes the pitch on each key/ you wanna adjust that sliders that dictate that pitch/trigger range so its only hitting on the original note/pitch then copy and paste a few times then move the
Pasted to hit on different keys... once you do that you can play with the start/end knobs to "chop" up the sample right there in the NNXT! This works very well for short samples because the start/end point work via percentages so obviously the smaller the sample the more control you will have. I use Dr. Rex for like straight loops if I don't plan to change the sample up much but if you really a lot of control I'd do it this way. Peace
you could def benefit from using some plug ins ...your chops were pretty messy frequency wise. i wasnt feeling that grainy scratchy treblish shit that run through a couple of the chops. cool stuff though
Yes it does, when rewired with cubase 4....Then you can apply third party effects on specific reason channels. Mind giving me my thumbs up now..lol. peace
dude just admit your wrong... quit acting like a baby. YES REASON 4 CAN BENEFIT FROM 3RD PARTY PLUG INS. just cuz you dont know how, doesnt mean its not possible. "I" do it all the time.
Yes in my example you can assign 3rd party plug ins to REASON 4 channels.
"Reason cannot record audio, hence it is not a full digital audio workstation. It does not support third-party plug-ins, being one of the few software sequencers to lack VST support. This has been a frequent cause of criticism, although it also contributes to the product's stability."
I'll say it again. REASON 4 when REWIRED with cubase 4 can take advantage of 3rd party plug ins.... case closed. I can add a 3rd party app to ANY channel IN reason 4.
your wiki doesnt cover that now does it. dumb ass.
all im saying is that reason doesnt allow you to load plugins by itself. reason doesnt support vsts or any plugins.
reason does allow you rewire external applications, which those in turn may or may not support VSTs and other plugins. So yes you CAN use vsts when working in reason, but the statement that REASON alone doesnt support plugins.
ALSO on a sidenote, just because something is not "supported" it doesnt mean it cant be done. This goes for many variuos softwares. i feel like a genius up against you lol
That's not the context in which these guys were stating....You can't import VST's into Reason itself...That's the main point. Even then, you're only porting reason to Cubase then using Cubase to send to Reason
LOL seriously you have you resort to that. REWIRE Enables the use of ANOTHER DAW'S plugins on Reason's TRACKS. When you say "Use plugins with reason" NOBODY ever thinks about ReWiring. They think you mean "Ooh I can use HyperSonic in Reason? SWEET!" Context, man. I'm not knocking the fact that plugins are able to have their effect on reason tracks. Just not in REASON itself. You're confusing the masses.
picking on spelling and grammer..Hmmm typical. Good luck with figuring out how to use reason properly. Im surprised you can tie your own shoes and dress yourself.
You're the one with some retarded ass view of how Reason and it's rewiring works. And also what Reason is as itself. If you tried telling any professional produce that Reason directly supports plugins they would laugh at your face and tell you to go back to school.
you can do this a lot easier in dr. rex (although if you're using the knobs in NNXT, then ignore this) - see my video (mpc reason rachmoninoff) - and the one its based on for the "how to" and result.
and by a lot easier, i mean import the rx2 and change two settings and your sample is ready for production.
