@rickybarningham most drugs are used to escape (at least for a while) our issues,problems,family troubles etc. we want to feel good for a short period, becuz we often times do not feel good when were sober. existence can be brutal, and i dont blame people for wanting to escape from the crap that happens in this world and in our lives, but drugs are a cowards way out, instead of "numbing the pain" man-up and deal with these issues (whatever they are) .....God bless

What most people don't realise, and I know I certainly didn't until about a month ago, is that smoking marijuana can definitely be just as bad as any other drugs. My brother was in the mental clinic in hospital with drug induced psychosis, from only smoking pot for 6 months and it was the scariest time of my life, so don't think that it is good to smoke it or nothing can happen. Maybe you should research something before you go out and tell people to "smoke weed everyday"

There's a lot of discussion here about whether drugs are 'good' or 'bad'... You cannot put chemicals in such categories. Psychoactive substances can lead to amazing revelations and euphoric peaks un-reachable by the sobered mind, but they can also lead to dependence and health problems. Almost every drug can be used safely and without long-term repercussions. Unfortunately people are stupid, and they don't respect themselves or the chemicals they ingest.

What most people don't realise, and I know I certainly didn't until about a month ago, is that smoking marijuana can definitely be just as bad as any other drugs. My brother was in the mental clinic in hospital with drug induced psychosis, from only smoking pot for 6 months and it was the scariest time of my life, so don't think that it is good to smoke it or nothing can happen. Maybe you should research something before you go out and tell people to "smoke weed everyday"

@mickmos I don't even pay attention to what the government says about drugs, because I pay attention to how my friends are affected by them. I state facts based on what I have seen, physically, in person, not what the government tries to tell me. It has nothing to do with the fact that they are illegal, because legal things are just as bad for us in some cases. It has to do with the fact that they are dangerous to your health, both physical and mental, and those around you.

@NadiaLovesCows Honestly, I don't feel that there are "bad" drugs. I believe that there are only bad choices. When it comes to taking hard drugs, you should only choose to take them after knowing the risks involved. Not knowing or not being cautious is the danger. Know your limits!
But, if you're lumping all drugs together as "bad" then you're doing more harm than good. Personally, I feel that all drugs should be legalized & regulated. Heavy substance abuse is a mental problem & not a crime.
