It was called Final Fantasy because it was supposed to be the company's last game before they went bankrupt. Quite funny that it was the game that saved them from tanking.

Valkyrie Profile is good if you like games with sequels and/ or prequels, action gameplay and fast fighting.
Final Fantasy presents a new story and new gameplay each time its released.
Both are amazing in their own way, I cannot decide either since the First Valyrie left me amazed.
