John 8:58 - "Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, i say to you, before Abraham was made, i am". In the old testament, the title "I am" is the title that is given to God, Jesus uses the same word.
Colossians 1:15-17 - "he is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation, for in him, all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers - all things have been created through him and for him"

You have to study the ancient language to realize how the phrase "i am" actually means that which is, was, and always shall be--YHWH. Yeshua was telling you about YHWH. When you see "i am" it is always in reference to the one true G-d. Period. The original root word shows the all-encompassing creator of everything.
