Always love finding hidden gems, one that I was lucky to discover upon release is Primal for the PS2. Quite possibly the best graphics on the PS2 (only defeated by Shadow of the Colossus in my opinion) it's just a well rounded action adventure game with a great story and perfect voice acting. I actually didn't see this game in your PS2 collection, Pete. I highly recommend checking it out next time you pull out the PS2.

Just brought this game myself recently, very very challenging game. I agree with your gameplay thoughts, the drifting side of the game is very different and can be quite frustrating when first playing.......isn't a bad game, but when it comes to ps1 kart racers... i like CTR much better.

Recently, I was at a local second hand game store and saw this game. I heard of it before but never seen it in person until then. Since I like to collect more obscure games and not focus on the mainstream games so much, I bought this game. It is a cool little racer. Very fun. :)

By the way, what do you think of Vexx, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Dual Hearts? I feel that they are all underrated gems.

Hey Pete, another great review. I remember this game from back in the PS1 era, and saw it used (for a bit too much) but I'll probably pick it up if I see it somewhere else for cheap. A Hidden Gem I would like to recommend is "Wild 9" which is a 2.5D platformer, that is also on the PS1. It is fairly short, but its cheap and I think you'll enjoy it.
