  • easy job for the border collie. love the vid. thanx for sharing

  • Shoot you folks ought to try and live with the price we get for wool in America! Doesn't pay the cost of the shearing.

  • sheep are clever not stupid who shears them

  • funny that the biker didn't want to get run over by a herd of sheep

  • hey holsteincowboy, you have sheeps too???

  • I just want to know if on their return trip...were they bitching about their cuts or admiring each others?!!

  • I'm a complete city girl (woman in L.A.) and love this video! The music and sheep are adorable!!! Nice haircuts. The music is great! Thank you!

  • wow, didnt know u kept sheep as well, keep up the gr8 work

  • Mules are the greatest mothers, by look and they're mothering instinct's.

You put mainly Suffolk rams right?

I saw a texel lamb there too@ 2:30 I know that English farmers combine Texel, Charollais and Suffolk to mate their mules, what i want to know is which race is dominant? Is it Suffolk?

  • Correct , Suffolk is dominant

  • how much does one sheeps coat sell for??

  • about 80p

  • so you loos money when you when getting the sheap sheared??

What does a fully grown lamb sell for??

Is it true that nowadays ewes can lamb twice a year??

  • yep, it sucks it costs like £1.20 for them to get sheared

Hmmm not sure on that one,

i think you mean that ewes can have twins.... not lamb twins every year

  • oh, i thought that they now can lamb in autum and spring, as last year in about august their is a feild of sheep near me and they all had baby lambs, and they have just lambed again with the same ewes in their.

    Nathan

  • not really

  • really my goats can and stuff can from cyotes and dogs ive seen them figh

  • r u coming up behind them?

  • jokes on the biker hahaha

  • I just enjoy watching them. It is very restful. The same with the cows grazing.

  • I kind of laughed at this one...In america..we dont see this...especially a flock of sheep going down the road. Kind of funny the biker had to turn around and wait for them to pass. They are noisy critters!

  • Might be £1.50 next year if he reads this lol

  • You got a bargain, it costs about £1.50 per head here!

  • fed up of clipping lol they shouldt be bad to do no wool on the neck

Falling here as well - Last week prime sheep at Ayr averaged 130 p or £54. Top of £70 for a Suffolk

  • méé! mééé !méééé,méé !! Cool& beatifull video ...

  • thanks

  • Very interesting. Music perfect. Too bad about the wool prices -- wool really is the best fabric.

  • Thanks. The fleeces made £1.80 last year or about $3.50 US

So after deducting shearing costs and transport to the warehouse there is not much left!

  • dats so cool.. dont av ne sheep at home, i jus luv de baby lambs thou.. help my neighbour that has sheep bottle feed them sum times!!! how much do u get 4 de wool den??

  • last year it was 60 pence a KG or about £1.80 per fleece

  • we got £96 4 900 and odd fleaces

  • its such a disgrace the price of wool and in ireland americans r payin from €60-€90 for jumper.. its a joke.. u wud make a lot of wooly jumpers 4m 1 fleece im guessin!!! 1kg of wool is a lot.. but sure farmers are the only ppl that pay retail 4 raw materials n sell products at wholsale = minus profit!! if we were gettin a fair amount for our produce we'd b able to live n work happily and afford sum luxurys like every1 else!!! wait till ther is a food shortage they'll b on their knees then!!

  • crazy how the price of wall, my cousins farm almost went bust 2 years ago so they sold all there sheep, so now they dont have any herds of animals they are just a arable farm.

  • Arable farmers will be laughing all the way to the bank this year :)

  • Normally the roads dept cut the verges but seem to have forgotten this year. Don't clip or roll ! I escaped to the milking parlor while they were clipping & sweating in very hot temps
