  • @OrchestralPipe Thanks mate, the pipe is a great smoker to boot, particularly good with Vapers, thanks for the kind comments. Hope to see ya over this side of the country one day. Cheers Jase

  • I actually like the shape, modern but still with a classic touch. The grain... oh my, one of the most beautifull pieces of briar I've seen.

Excelent video, Jase, very amusing too.

    Cheers

  • @RequiemPipes THanks Gustavo, your comments are much appreciated. Cheers Jase

  • Great video. Fantastic grain on that pipe. The carver oriented the briar block perfectly for the grain to match the shape. Cheers.

  • @GothamCitySmoker Thanks Mate, Stephen Downie really is an artist, and now that I have put a bowl through I can say it smokes beautifully. Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated. Cheers Jase

  • Nice video. I notice is is taken not too far from the famed Jutland Parade immortalized in Kevin Wilson's stirring ballad. Cheers

  • @puffpuffponder , Cheers mate, yeah Jutland parade is close, but people of my lowly stature aren't allowed near LOL

  • Perth looks like it would be a fun place to visit. If I do I will make sure to stop by and teach the cow's how to say MOOO. That pipe is topnotch no question about it. Nice to see you out and about and good to know all is well. oh one more thing...my ex-wife's back looks just like your mother-in-laws? Maybe there related.

  • Fun video, mate! What a great day in your fine city. That is a great pipe, as are all by Stephen Downie. He is due here any day to hand deliver my #4 Downie pipe. (I spend the winter less than an hours drive from Vancouver)

I am a great admirer of Stephen's work. Each pipe is beautiful, fascinating and unique...his use of shape, color, texture and material is amazing. Downie is one of the true artists in pipemaking. Enjoy your new creation.

  • @alaskansong THanks Mate, yep Stephen was a great guy to work with, I hope it wont be my only Downie pipe. THanks for watching and I hope to see your pipes sometime. cheers Jase.

  • @alaskansong ahhh Yachtexplorer, sorry mate I didn't realise who I was responding to! Yours and Eds inspired me to contact Stephen . Looking forward to seeing that new "fishy theme" one I saw that was getting close to being finished. Man I hope to get up your way one day soon! Cheers Jase

  • Wow Jase! I had no idea how beautiful Perth is!.....and here's the pipe....(jaw drops) Ohhh mate, thats just gorgeous! Grain all day long on that, and love the band and cumberland stem too! Well done! I'd call it a speeding dublin me thinks lol

O.K. Thats settled then! Now I know what I'm getting next year, a Stephen Downie!

I think I want a cherry tree shape (coppermine or scarecrow he call's them) but pretty much similar styling (band and stem) as yours.

    Really great vid Man!

    Cheers,

    James

  • @astroman2112 Thanks James! Much appreciated comments on the pipe and city.

    Cheers Jase
