Thank you so much. Is there any way to look at the pics online? do you have them posted anywhere? the pics on the video went by so quickly, I could not fully enjoy them. Thanks again, Stephen!
Can't thank you enough for this "trip" home. I'm a very small town girl now, but I don't regret a moment of my home town. Hugs to all of you out there.
recommended by Wally-Happy New Year from Mulberry Street-Thanks So Much for making this--I was an S&H green stamp baby, ate at colonial diner, went to school in the coca-cola building for hairdressing and many more connections with brockton!
These pictures are awesome, yes they are a little fast and hope we can find a way to slow it down. I was born and raised in Montello - The Village. Have awesome memories and my brothers and I have thought for a long time about seeing just how many people we could get from our era for a little reunion maybe this is the start. Do you have access to any pictures of Zinky's market or anything from the village during the 1950 up to 1970. Thanks for a great job with what you have done.
Really loved these pictures -- grew up in Brookfield. Any chance of getting a copy of this before the video was created so we can look at each picture for more memories?! Right now the images fly by really quickly, and I'd love to be able to look for people I know in them! :)
I recognize a lot of the old buildings, I Grew up in campello in the early 70's and on the north side, thanks for bringing back many good memories, that I forgot about, thanks for the flashbacks! I miss the old brockton, WOW look how CLEAN Brockton used to be! LOL Liberal Socialism decays
so many memories of Brockton long ago in its Glory days, before the age of shopping centers, when most Brocktonians and area residents headed to a thriving downtown to do their shopping or go to the BPM or to a dentist or doctor, or see a movie at the Brockton, Colonial, Center, or Modern Theatres ! There was an "Eastern Mass." bus coming every few minutes from all parts of the City to take you downtown, or take you back home again. Now the downtown is a sad shabby abandoned shell of memories.
Thanks for posting this. It brought back many memories of growing up in Brockton. So much has changed over the years, many of those buildings and business are long since gone, but some still remain. You even showed the fabulous Cape Cod Cafe Pizzas, The Skyview Drive-in, and even lesser known establishments like Henry's 15 cent Hamburger stand ! Thanks again.
My immediat thought when i saw the Ice Cream truck was "Johnny the Ice Cream Man" and his small cart that he pushed around the entire city.. He's a Brockton ICON...
Great job. Thanks for the memories. It is really a shame that a good city has gone the way it has. Hometowns are special and Brockton was no different. From good to deplorable in a lifetime is amazing. I do wish it had been a little slower.
I agree. Slower would have been much better. Many - too many pics of places I recall. ...and we only moved to Brockton in '64. Very good. And thanx for the memories (sorry Bob).
Wow great video of where I came from... I'm still here but sometimes I don't recognize it anymore. Maybe it was more the people that I knew that made it special than the places we were. Who knows. Great memories of Brockton anyway. Thanks.
this is the best video i ever seen as i wipe my eyes i knew i missed mass n wanted to go home to brockton but seening this makes me KNOW i have to go home
very nice but the pictures go by to fast.

That was fun to watch. It was a little fast for me to actually see and remember some places. Lanoue's shoes did not get in to my sorrow.
I agree that it is too bad that Brockton has gone so downhill since the days when we were teens and enjoyed it so much.
