  • well sureyourscene, I have bought quite a few audio cds I find some hard too but it is getting slightly easier for me although it has taken me a while, at the moment I am doing a slightly harder one from bbc talk italian 2 which has helped me alot, I also reccomend the liguaphone ones, I got them free the paper they are suprisingley good so have a look on ebay.

  • I think every resource can be used well, but I also believe that nothing can replace a good teacher. Of course, the teacher should be skilled and patient.

  • I like italian because when you read something... you read it like its spanish... since i spanish is my first lang... its more easy for me... I founded english more hard than Italian.. Thanks god!!

  • I know livemocha very well, as a free resource is very nice, still there are many mistakes in the exercises, also you don't interact much.

  • I agree. I've been using Livemocha for a couple of weeks now; as an introduction to the language it's a good tool, but it's too basic and there are no grammar explanations at all. Also, in my native language(Spanish) I've seen multiple mistakes, so I can only assume the same happens in other languages. I like the fact I get to know native speakers and chat with them though.

  • i asian..

    hola amigo

    çAlguien q me ayude PERFAVORE!!!

  • i'm learning from rosetta stone, but they don't teach you everything. and i'm confused alot about it, because it doesn't give you translations, and i'm confused about alot of things.

  • Molto grazie.

  • Grazie per (the lesson) - sorry, I don't know how you say it in Italian......... :(

  • Italian Portuguese Español french romanian are Latin languages...

And English and German are half Latin languages too.... you can find very many vocabularys in these languages...

    La conversazionne/conversación= Die Konversation/The Conversation...

all these "zionne/ción, - mus (like Kapitalismus/Capitalism) and verbs like conversate or something like these are from the latin (the romanian) language.... 60 procent of the english language are latin, in german 40^^

  • OR A HOT TUTOR

  • well, youcan still find one...by the way a hot tutor is not always a good option because after a while you need to be focused on the language ;)

  • boring :( i need an un animated person saying it !! >:(

  • I repeat this video was bad recorded because one of the first I made, I just kept it here because people seemed to like it somehow. And this is meant to practice, not just to listen to. I'm sorry if you find it boring, I think the best option is to find a personal tutor!!

  • thats true!

  • naaaa the spanish is the best languaje !!

do you want to learn spanish?

  • wooo comme ti chiami

  • i think italiano is best latin language

    i like this language

    tank you for lesson

    arrivederci :-)

  • All Latin based, however, Italian is the closest to original Latin of them all.

French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian are provincial forms of Latin.

  • it makes sense, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian are all Latin languages

  • yea, spanish, portuguese and italin are all LATIN-BASE LANGUAGES

  • sure! he best is the spanish yeah!!

  • che ridere....io sono italiano!!!

auhuhauha scherzi a parte grandissimo penso sarà utile =)

  • spagnolo, NOT hispaniol.

    imparare, NOT aprender

    leggere, NOT leer

  • perfetto :D

  • yo se espanol y le puedo entender un poco al italiano, tal vez sera facil de aprender...Its similar to spanish, i can understand some of it, its probably easier for me :)

  • mamma mia this is awesome lol i liked it =)

    *****

  • hi! well, if you find it harder to understand spoken Italian, try and practise your listening comprehension more, you can do that with movies, songs, etc.

  • im studying italian, and im good at reading and writing but suck at listening! :(

    grrrrr

  • Obrigado, ótimo pra mim. Que Deus os abençoe a todos.

  • GOD BLESS YOU.

  • yes I do :-)

  • well, mostly, but you always have to keep in mind that foreign people must learn the phonetics anew...

  • im portuguese and i would love to learn italian...ti amo italiaaaa :P

  • I am the great javoman and I like to learn new languages like this. I hope learning this amazing language because I will travel to Italy .By the way my favorite food is the italian , Mama mia , bambino .Greetings from javoland.

  • Cool, I read in one of your comments that your are from Veneto! Im from Chipilo, Mexico and here many of us speak what is called the Chipilo Venetian Dialect because most of the people in Chipilo are of venetian descent. It is a little different than standard italian though, I don't speak it but my dad and mom speak it.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it! What you tell me is really interesting

  • very nice..............

  • tu sei italiana????? bene bene!!

    io pensaba que eres sudamericana

proque tu pronunciacion es como la española!

    ami me interesa aprender italiano..

    tienes alguna forma de enseñarme?

    gracias rispondimiiii porfavore

    fran^^

  • ciao Fran!

  • no, la mujer que abla es italiana, I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish, only English or Italian. ;)

  • hei sono bravo..ah già sono italiano...

  • I've never mentioned any Latin accent, anyway, people here have used the word Latin referring to the Spanish speaking people of South America, nothing related to the ancient Latin language.

  • Spanish language IS RELATED to Latin

  • I was answering a question about the use of the word Latin in the comments. Some people here use the adjective 'Latin' when referring to Spanish speaking communities in America, I was just pointing out the difference. No one was saying that Spanish is not related to Latin.

  • I was saying no one knows how Latin sounded like outside of church when the Romans spoke it...so how can one have a Latin accent?

  • At least make it sound exciting, it sounds so boring the lesson!

If you've taken a Romance language, especially an Iberian Romance language, it can help tremendously...

Latin no longer exist, how can one have a Latin accent?

  • I'm sorry if you find it boring, this was done to be clear and not exciting, anyway I'll keep that in mind next time, thanks. All the romance languages come from Latin, including Italian, your comment wasn't clear to me, anyway Latin does not sound much exciting to Italian people, in the past we used to hear it spoken in the Church so it has a different kind of feeling...

  • another question, how do you say mexican, spanish, and english?

  • we say messicano, spagnolo, inglese

  • In Italian, the formal excuse me and sorry can be both epressed as 'mi scusi'. You understand the difference according to the context!

  • how do you pronounce mi scusi, is it like this: Me scuzi?

how do you say excuse me and sorry in italian?

  • we say: "scusami" or "scusa" and "mi dispiace"

  • really good lesson!

I think my language issurely easier for latin people;)

    CIAOOOOO!!!:D

  • if i'm taking 3-4 years of spanish in highschool will that make it eaiser to learn italian?

  • i think so, im spanish american, yet fluent in italian and i find it easier to grasp it. plus my dads italian so it helps a lot. but yeah definently easier

  • wait im not fluent sorry, im learning.....

  • well it depends on how your doing on the accent. If you perfect that Latin kind accent, the difficulty for Italian will be easier.

  • itialian is easy if u have the right accent and grew up around it.

  • I think Italian it's easier if you can speak it each day with native speakers, it's so with most of the languages, but I also think you need some strong basics and you can only learn them with a good teacher. The accent is not much important (Italians themselves have different accents), but pronounciation is of course fundamental!

  • I think Italian is easier than my language (which is hebrew) and I want to learn this language as well as I can! :-)

  • As a linguist and language teacher I believe there is no easiest or hardest language, there are only languages which are closer to others or not...every language as a more difficult or easier aspect for the beginner, anyway Hebrew is also a very intresting language!

  • italian language is not so easy!

  • even though I agree with you Guido, I repeat that it's better if it looks easy to some people, this way they will be more interested in learning it...

  • you are right, Spanish is the closest language to Italian and even though I do not speak Spanish I understand most of it and communicate easily... anyway the grammar is different and in order to speak Italian you will have to learn it from the start.

  • I think Portuguese is closer to Italian than Spanish...but Spanish is pretty close.

  • I love Portuguese fado and I'd love to learn Portuguese sooner ore later... anyway as an Italian speaker, I personally find Portugue more difficult to understand without knowing it...

  • so easy because i speak spanish and many of the words are similar and the way they use them .

  • this language looks very easy.....

  • Hi, I'm glad you find it easy, all languages are easy and hard at the same time. I have learned a few languages in my life and Italian - my own language- isn't the easiest one according to me, but if it looks easy it's much better for the beginner!!

  • try to learn the verbs

  • IT'S SO HARD

  • arrivedergliela

  • hahah..arrivedergliela...molto carino

  • for the text below..your answer: thank you it's "Grazie" very close to spanish too because thank you in Spanish is "Gracias".....

I love your videos tutonline...you should upload more with longer conversations!!!!

    greetings from Mexico:)

  • hi Princessdollysela, thanks for your very nice comment, I will surely try and upload something new and more interesting in the next days..so..check back soon! Thanks

  • how do you say thank you in italian

  • In Italian, thank you is 'grazie', there are also 'grazie mille', 'grazie molte' (thanks a lot, thank you very much)

  • como se dice adios en italiano formal?

how do you say bye/good bye formal in Italian?

  • the same that hallo.. ciao!

  • ciao is informal from what ive heard and read

  • se dice arrivederci cuando es formal

    ciao cuando es informal

  • adios in italiano formal se dice 'arrivederci'

  • we don't say Io mi chiamo.. just Mi chiamo..;)

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. Italian is my mother tongue so I know how 'we say' my name is in Italian. Using 'io' is not necessary in Italian, but it's not a mistake either , I especially use as opposed to 'and what's your name?' as in 'Io mi chiamo .. e tu?'

  • Guys, a couple of things:

salve is informal as well. Some people use it as formal, but it isn't. The formal ones are "buongiorno" and "buonasera".

    Arrivederci/ciao both are informal.

    Arrivederla is formal.

    Ciao from Italy! :)

  • How can I say Greetings to Italy?

  • Hi, 'greetings' in Italian is 'saluti'

  • oh sorry..btw 'greetings to Italy' is 'saluti all'Italia'

  • Grazie mile, bella donna.

    Saluti all'Italia!

  • Grazie mille a te elojobionico!!

  • According to me 'arrivederci' in Italian is nowadays used in both formal and informal context, so if you use 'arrivederci' as formal is not felt as a mistake. 'arrivederla' is only formal but is getting a little outdated these days...
