  • dat "too loud?" in english is fucking adorable!

  • Anyone noticed the nick jr. logo? MADNESS!

  • When I watch FiM in German I remember it's a kids' show. The voice acting and overall work in the original is so amazingly well done that I forget it's all made as a Saturday morning cartoon! But when I watch is in German it all dawns on me. It's a dub, it's just voice acting, it's actually a cartoon! Don't get me wrong, I'm not shitting on the dub. It's actually really fun to listen to and they do a great job. Can't speak for the translation, but the voices are fun.

    Thumbs up from Sweden.

  • lol the whole "Louder" and "Yay" scene is pretty much in english xD

  • German Rainbow Dash.

  • English is the real version you have to see... synchro and translate is horribel... (echt ein disaster "German")

  • english has shortened words and screwy self contradicting rules that seem to lie because its a polyglot language (lol even there im stealing from latin poly=many glot=tongue). its taken the most useful and specific words from many languages and uses them freely (mostly because we don't have an academy de france' to decree how our language works) I so enjoy some german words such as shaudenfreude*(spelling might be wrong) = to derive peasure from anothers misfortune. which describes all my humor.

  • @Kain59242 It's called "Schadenfreude" and reminds me of a song from Avenue Q ... xD

  • Well, germany is known for it's passionate speakers (Din' bring up the war! I din'! Nope! No Sirrie!......sorry)

  • Ein wenig kraftlos, die Synchronisation.

  • wait, it says " nick jr." in the corner, so mlp is on nick jr in germany, WAY CANT MLP BE ON NICK JR IN USA?!

  • @pkmnTrainerCrystal The Hub is a U.S TV channel. The Hub is non-existent in Germany and Austria and such, so they had to find SOMEONE to air the show elsewhere. Nickelodeon accepted, so now I think they're the ones who put on the show outside of the U.S.

  • This is one of the reasons I'm glad to be part German.

  • Can you ever upload derpy saying muffins in German, I'm very curious of her voice and if they even include it in the dub.

  • I like it, the german version turned out very good. I loved the english one and I love this one, too. :3

  • @KitsuLeif

    *engineer appears* Nein

  • Fluttershy sounds older in this dub. plus, I can barly hear any spaces in their dialog. Is english just a quick-to-speak language?

  • @A88mph

Well, yes, German is quite a mouthful just to say a few things and most german words have more syllables than their english counterparts. Also, it lacks the possibility of combining words like "I am = I'm", "You are = You're", etc. In general English is a very handy language.

However, not noticing spaces between the dialog probably derives from the fact that you're listening to a foreign language you don't speak yourself. The breaks may be a little shorter, but they're there.

  • @swainize I concur with this. Germans have to use words that are larger than their English counterparts. For example, "see" becomes "sehen" and "fly" becomes "fliegen." Not only that, but there are different ways to use each one. Past nominative, present case, nominative, accusative, dative - they all change the position of the words. As in anywhere, the more fluent you are, the faster you speak. We barely leave any spaces when we speak in English, so the same is for German.

  • @swainize Yeah, how're you supposed to contract 'Ich bin'....

  • @swainize The flip side about english though, is that when it comes to the rules, it lies. Lies! LIIIEEEEES! But know, english contradicts itself alot.

  • @TSEpictures Ahh english the language of people in to much of a hurry to even say I am or Can not.

  • @A88mph

Swainize is right. when i began to learn japanese it was nothing more than a bunch of gibberish to my ears. as I learned it and began to listen to the speech it all began to make sense.

  • ''completely ruined'' is little exaggerated, but yeah, Fluttershy sounds a little louder than in english.

  • @nonstopsubber Germans can't speek softly XO
