Original AB, AB2 and ABTA / AB3D series had better gameplay and were advanced and revolutionary. This is kind of just recycling.

And shame no such remake is made for AmigaOS 4, even hardware capacity is OK. Quite dissapointing from Team 17. Simply, I expected more

its nice, but it falls for the same trap gears of war and unreal tournament 3 fell: the graphics look drab in an attemp at realism, and saturated with unnecesary details and lighting effects; also, an stylized look works better in games with old school gameplay (aka overhead perpective)

awesome game, bit scarey at times and i could do with some more ammo scattered throughout the levels, not to mention health packs! make it a rule to save regularly though cos otherwise if you dont save for ages and you die, you're gonna go way back in time and start all over again lol!

In the current climate, you don't see games like Alien Breed Evolution on the shelf. These games are now the type of game that you download. If they went to retail it would be a massive cost to the company and it wouldn't sell. In my book they'd be stupid bastards if they DID go to retail.

No,what i am saying is Alien Breed-EVO deserved a more fitting return to the latest systems than an insulting download. If a game is good enough it will sell regardless of the current climate,all the trashy FIFA games prove this. If EVO was bundled with all the originals and given a proper release. It WOULD sell. There's nothing demeaning about being a download only game. The Monkey Island remake for example.

A download will maximize the sales for this game. Look at Bionic Commando-  on xbox live sold LOADS, and the full retail version sold NOTHING.

I agree. I am just annoyed due to waiting 20-odd years for a remake. I had at least expected some sort of Orange Box type release with 1 or 2 of the originals,is that so evil?, its an Iconic game for gods sake.

Download only is the future and retail days are numbered, but you will not always get these games so cheap. Wait and see.

I have some interesting facts about that Bionic-Com game. Bionic Com Re-Armed (X-box live) and Bionic Com retail were two completely different games.(130,000 units live version sold) (27,000 Retail.)

The bad sales was blamed on poor Marketing and a bad demo.They should have just released the RE-Armed version and dumped the 3D idea for retail.

Looks really nice. Hope the whole game is a bit brighter though. Far too many modern games you can only play once the sun's gone down, with books under the back of your LCD stand to tilt the stupid thing forwards. Or maybe that's just my monitor. Anyway, visible is good.

What i heard so far is that its a XBLA exclusive which i dont mind i just would have liked to have it on a dvd rather than on the HD as XBLA games have the tendency to 'delete' themselfes

this is a must buy...i remember playing alien breed special edition and even the first person shooters that came out later on amiga...I didnt come far to be honest but I had tons of fun just killing aliens
