Look out for a version by the High Level Ranters, a Newcastle folk group who play the tune on a Hardanger fiddle, a Norwegian 8 stringed fiddle, the normal four strings each with a sympathetic string 1 octave higher.
Well... This is a dance from Shetland, about as far north as you can get in Britain. But... all the similar dances in Britain are indeed found in Northern England, mainly in Yorkshire and Northumberland.
