If there were such thing as spirits, you wouldn't notice them AT ALL! They cannot harm you. They're almost like between a trans-worldly realm. I'm not going to say theyre trans-dimensional, because dimensions involve things out of our universe, and spirits are obviously made up of some kind of matter from our universe if they belonged to an animal, or sapient being that deceased from our universe (ectoplasm?).

First off, a being in a different realm cannot interact with others in the same realm as it. It's not plausible or possible. I'm not saying spirits are fictional, but that doesn't mean they can be noticed. They cannot interact with objects from our realm, of course, they are still made of some sort of matter, and so something like a black hole, can still interact with them. Gravity still can interact with spirits, but not us. They are still part of this universe.

Dimensions and realms are two different things. Realms are pretty much just levels of what matter is on. Not phases, but just humans and spirits are on two different levels. They cannot interact directly. Humans can only detect them with some sort of technology (similar to what astronomers use to detect the accretion disks around black holes). Things from one dimension would not be able to go to other dimensions without being obliterated themselves. But its physically impossible for spirits to speak. They do not have a larynx. Their brain density is higher than those of other vertebrates, including ours. If mollusks or arthropods had brains the size of ours, they would be more intelligent.
