  • Very Nice vid well done. I enjoy this regularly!

  • @XWhocaresxX thats what every general needs. To be able to love their men but willing to sacrifice them. Its why there are so few great generals.

  • think of the power these great men felt. napolion, hitler, stalin, grant, lee. the fact that they have the lives of thousands of men in their hands is amazing.

  • @AlakimSirrah thousands? more like millions?

  • The russians fought well at borodino but were still beaten, in a stand up fight the russians would have been destroyed, russias greatest allies have always been size and winter, unhospitable landscape, mighty france, took many nations to take it down, fair play to the old guard, laying down their lives so the rest of the army could pull back, such honour and sacrifice, vive la france!!

  • 0:21- OMG somebody get the angry fat guy some cake!!!

  • @pandazrkewl Lol, quit ironic if you consider that your from USA and talking about someone else being fat...

  • @RoManLP15 wat?

  • FUCKING AMAZING LIKE YOUR GETTYSBURG ONES!!!

  • Bridge

Of all the wars I have waged

    To propel my nations might

    For this I'll be remembered

From now 'till the end of time

If to the victor go the spoils

I may die an impoverished man

    For in the end, Irony

    Has dealt the cruelest hand

  • "Of all the wars I have waged to propel my nations might

    For this I'll be remembered

From now until the end of time!

To the victor goes the spoils

I will die an impoverished man

For irony has dealt the cruelest hand!"

  • Youtube is starting to suck with all the advertisements and videos being deleted, I cant even watch some videos because it isnt allowd in my country, and I'm suppose to be in the "land of the free"...haha.. BS, thanks youtube. u sux

  • Back then just the thought of the public having a say in the government was revolutionary. I love france.

  • well something must of worked seeing as England had one of the biggest empires in the world

  • Great song and good use of the most memorable scenes from the film. I just wish the audio wouldn't skip and the video wasn't in such a low resolution. Still, good effort and a good watch.

  • PERFECT

  • Rulz ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • this is such a great song it tells the story of a very bloody bloody battle between our old enemy britain and our very old enemy and ally france.

if i was to be on a side i wouldnt choose because this battle wasnt good on either side

  • How could English fight for Lords who hate them and for the privileges of a minority they'll never be part of ?

Napoleon loved is soldier and even if you were born the poorest boy of France you still could end up as a Marshall of France ! Something completely impossible for a bad born Englishman.

There's clearly a good side and a bad side.

Unfortunately the old backward monarchies won that day...

  • yes i know he loved his soldiers but he would have driven them to death if nessisary, he was an evil tyrant not saying britain wasnt just saying that both were evil

  • evil tyrant can describe almost all emperors, kings back then.

  • @xWhocaresxX infact he did drive most of his men to deth when he attempted to take over Russia. The russians used a scorched earth technique to out smart napoleon and fatigue/kill his men so that by the time the big battle came they were easily slaughtered and forced to retreat.

  • @weiland808080 The French were easily slaughtered at Borodino eh?

  • to be fair it was not just the British fighting, it was an allied force. but most of them where british

  • Actually, only 25% where British (counting the Irish).

  • ah i was mistaken thx man

  • Wasn't one of the contributing factors to Napoleon's defeat that Ney or Grouchy or some of his other generals were shell shocked from what they saw in Russia?

  • This so much more kicks ass than the newer computer rendered scenes

  • After the battle, Marshal Ney was shot as a trator by the French.

  • Its kinda weird that this is what im learning in history class....

  • it tells the biggest events in the story of Napoleon, but fair enough if you don't like the way its being telled

  • ( Southern accent)... Amen brother! lol

  • Yes, but this song is telling the story of what happened there.

  • EPIC..No Words...

  • Nice work!"The Glorious Burden" is a great record, much better than all these fantasy stuff you usually find in Metal. And by the way,the movie Waterloo is also a great one.Remember that they did all the fighting scenes without computer stuff...

  • are u serious?

  • owens made a great job in this song.. in all the Glorious!

  • I forgot to mention that this song is such an awesome rally song. The Glorious Burden as an album tells a tale of some of the most brutal battles in history as well as some of the aspects of war (from Red Baron to Attila to Valley Forge to Gettysburg)

Waterloo is an awesome song to march your troops off to war to.

  • It is a good song but I wouldn't say "an awesome song to march your troops off to war to" because it's about loosing.

  • Fair enough. I never really looked at it that way though. Good point.

  • agree

  • Eeeerrrrm, r u joking? we won, numbnuts

  • why are u two still rivals arent u supposed to be allies?

  • A lot of people trash Napolean for being short, but fact is - he single-handedly carried the world from the Romantic era to the Modern era.

  • He wasn't short. He was known to his men as "Le Petit Colonel" or something such (not exact on the nickname he had) which became a misunderstood meaning. Since everyone refers to the word "Petit" as small it sort of got misinterpreted. It was said that he was best known as a down-to-earth commander. Corsican blood was in his veins too.

  • What! its great music maybe you like different types of music but don't complain as hat has no point when you post something like this it starts all kinds of crap talk and spam so if you don't like it don't listen to the music instead of whinnying

  • Vive l'Empereur!

  • Ripper Owens sings this song the one that remplace halford in Judas Priest

  • I just found out Matt Barlow wrote this song. Fucking epic. \m/.

  • Is this footage from the Waterloo movie which was made in 1970?

  • napoleon is looser with big L xD lol but Ice Earth ROCkX ! xD good xD job :D

  • you are awesome, keep it up.

  • Wow men this song gives me a kick!! I almost get orgasm. Look at the troops and the cavalry charges its fucking awesome!!

    Good job well done!

  • Or (even though more recently) Paschendale by Iron Maiden

  • increible

  • iced earth kicks ass...

    Napoleon kicks,too.

  • Iced Earth owns so much.. I love them almost as much as Manowar

  • ripper slays best vocalist out there at the moment keeping the flame of dio dickinson and halford alive

iced earth will suck without him

  • Yes! Finally, someone makes a vid featuring one of my favorite Iced Earth songs, the timing is almost perfect to boot, this kicks ass! 5 Stars, and favorited!

  • Good job dude.
