  • This makes me want to cry. Please stop the abuse already!

  • poor elephants i hate these circuses should be banned

  • the ways these poor animals are treated behind closed doors is disgusting.

  • What you don't see:

    /watch?v=cw7W1AJAL2c

  • What made them do this unnatural behavor?

    STOP ANIMAL TORTURE!

  • oooh nice look at the elephants that are abused from 2 years old. YAY! look how cool they are. look up how they are trained and then go back and look at the sadness in their eyes

  • This is disgusting abuse of animals....performing those acts is actually harmful to the animals. Their bodies are not designed to be positioned or move that way. It damages their bones and joints, not to mention the fact that they have to be beaten down to do it to begin with.

  • Sick and wrong

  • ringling brothers beats their animals. this is the most vile, and cruel show on earth. Attending is supporting animal cruelty. i cannot believe this is still going on....

  • Sickening.......you do know what goes on backstage dont you? They are not loved, thats a very naieve attitude.

  • How in the world is this entertaining????

  • Those animals are more loved and better taken care of than a lot of kids are , If all kids could only be as lucky!

  • Sickening it makes me sick to see animals performing tricks!

  • That is vile. How this can be legal is beyond me.

What kind of person takes pleasure in watching wild animals being forced to do demeaning tricks?

the oldest elephant in a UK circus, Ane, is 55 and has crippling arthritis which means even walking is painful. this is as a result of years spent doing stupid tricks like standing on two legs for long periods every day.

I wish people would stop and think about what they are seeing rather than just blindly clapping along.

  • @sivernsjen

I didn't realize arthritis was uncommon in elephants over the age of 50.

It's a great show, and I imagine it takes a lot of effort to train and care for animals of such size.

To me, criminalizing the taming or training of elephants is akin to criminalizing training of dogs, parrots, iguanas, or wild dolphins. It's not like they're making the elephants fight each other. The reason I included dolphins is that they are sometimes trained out of captivity.

  • @Bolatium Check some video of how they "train" the elephants. It's far different from training dogs. They have to be beaten, intimidated, and tortured to perform these un-natural acts.

  • @thilligoss

I have watched a few videos, and while some I find questionable, I see mo definite evidence of abuse, torture, or excessive force. I will have to investigate for myself before I become fanatical on either side of this issue. I keep seeing appeal to emotion. Please give me a credible source that will tell me what movements are unnatural for an elephant. I can prove that elephants stand on their hind legs in the wild of their own free will.

  • grausam!!

  • Free the slaves you fucking nazis! This kind of exploitation should be banned forever and everyone involved with kidnapping, imprisoning and torturing these beautiful beings should be put in jail. There is this thing called empathy, you might want to try it out sometime...

  • Cruelty.
