I think Crona's gender varies through the countries in trasnlation. In English Crona is a man but he could be a girl in another launguage. It depends on the country.

The manga and anime don't translate right, the japanese version actually just said child, not daughter or son. IMO, Chrona ia a girl, but thats me. I don't like yuri pairings, but this one is adorable! <3 She has too much hip not to be a girl, but wtf ever. the manga gives hints that shes a girl, covering her chest. but! Chrona is a guy!!! If you watch the anime (and Im pretty sure parts of it is in the manga too), he says "I not really comfortable around girls." and then he stats talking about running is fingers though Maka's hair and, what not.
in case u r confused on wat happens when SHE is introduced .. i believe that it was ragnarocks voice coming from inside chrona once ragnarock was weakend by shinigami-sama it made it more clear that chrona was a girl

Crona's a guy....In the dubbed anime Maka said "HIS body is so hard; it feels like I'm punching lead" and in the OFFICIAL translation of Soul Eater it says "he" and "him"

I only think that because they refer to him as "That boy, him, his, ect..."
He also said "I'm not really good at talking to girls..."
