  • You suck Mr. D, but I want to eat you.

  • This is like a really obnoxious, bad Ed Winn impression. The classroom program song is much better (and on key).

  • I was thinking: that doesn't sound like the voice from the records. After this is over, I need to find the original version... Oh! How convenient!

(yeah, the original version is much better)

  • Yeah, what's with the crazy and annoying puppet singing voice? Why would they change it?

  • This is creepy

  • I like Mr. D!

  • This guy is creepy.

  • He has the worst voice of all of the letter people, his song ain't great either.

  • I'm going as one of the letter people for holloween this year. This brings back so many memorys

  • Mr D the dreadful singer

  • Well the puppets voice is DREADFUL But the singer for the classroom progam is an EXELENT singer!

  • My 8th grade typing teachers name is mr Divisconti and we call him mr d. lol

  • I was dressed as him since elementary school.

  • I am an orchestra teacher and my students call me Mr. D! they've gotta check this vid out... haha

  • lololololoololololol

  • I wonder if Mr. D is cooked in trans fats, which starts with the same sound as terrible teeth.

    Mr. T will be pleased.

  • Mr. D will be played by Elijah Wood.

  • i just thought of a possible reason that Mr. D and Mr. S. have different singers! Obviously the show had a low budget and maybe they couldn't offer the singers any royalties for using their voices in the show. It is possible that Mr. D and Mr. S were the only 2 singers who didn't give permission for this reason, b/c they felt like they should get paid! I bet that is it!

  • Plus, they'd probably have a hard time explaining the sudden voice change, in this case, Mr. D sounding like a pimply-faced teenager when he talks, but not when he sings.

  • Now Mr D is Dancing Mr D

  • his original voice reminds me of Ziggy Marley.

  • his 2nd voice reminds me of Vincent Price.

  • I used to play the original version (yes, the good version) on my college radio show. I'm a nut.

  • No, you're not. I once played Mr. S's song at a club, and people (most of whom had never heard of the Letter People) loved it!

  • Mr. D actually makes me think of Ed Wynn.

  • That's just what I thought. The puppet's voice does sound rather like him. The one on the recording sounds a bit like Thurl Ravenscroft.

  • Go D! but he looks like a lion???

  • mr deez

    deez doNUTS

  • Mr. D could kick Dot's ass.

  • Mr. drugs got that couple strung the hell out....

  • The original version is so much better! (He kind of sounds like the narrator from Space Quest.)

  • I think they ripped off the Mr D costume from Peter Gabriel's Genesis wardrobe lol

  • His sound is the same sound that starts "detestable douchebag".

  • The man and woman muppet look like they're screwing at 0:24 lol

  • @CygnusRoc I thought that too

  • the first guy was mr drugs or drunk wtf was that

  • Normally, I'm sometimes an easy going gal but in THIS case. >:( I thought my head was gonna explode or ears bleed when he sang "MR. DDDDDDDDD!!" From this Day we were Doomed to hear this Dreadful Deafening voice. Poor Mr.D had the WORST voice of the LP in the TV show IMO. I always just mute that version and/then listen to the BETTER one.

  • That's why, outside of appearing in words and ensemble songs, he didn't have too much to say after his episode!

  • creapy

  • he really gets in your face about liking donuts

  • Does anyone remember the little booklets that were handed out on each Letter person? I think I still have my Mr. D booklet...

  • this is like a time warp to kindergarten thanks for the trip

  • I stand corrected; the original Mr. D singer sounds a lot more like Ken Page than Barry Carl.

  • The original voice is much better, but it seems that the voice they used for the show was more suiting for the puppet.

  • Mr. D's a real sugar daddy.

  • I TOTALLY remember this song. I can still sing it!!! Heart it.

  • Is the voice of Mr. D's voice on the TV show suppose to resemble a famous person?

  • I don't think so...but the dragon in this episode's voice was supposed to resemble Carol Channing's. And by the way, they couldn't find someone with a deep voice for Mr. D?!

  • I don't think I'll ever watch anything...ever again.

  • no? y not?

  • I liked the guy from the classroom program better. Sounded a bit like Barry Carl (ex-bass singer for Rockapella).
