I have a 2004 Ford Mustang (6 cylinder) and I wish I would have purchased an 8 cylinder if for nothing else, but the sound (I am female). Since this was not going to be a possibility right now, I decided to put on a Flowmaster Muffler system (cost me $243 installed) and it really did make the car sound quite a bit meaner. It's not exactly like the 8 cylinder of course, but for the money, I am happy with it! Next are headers!

@DEADMAN315E didn't get any dyno numbers. typically, there isn't much of a gain with only an axle-back. flowmaster says "noticable" gain, whatever that means. there is, however, a 20 pound weight savings, and the sound improvement is worth the investment!

@GoGoggansGo i agree the new 5.0L is pretty solid engine. but sometimes simple is better. the 5.0L is just to complicated of a engine. the LS3 engine found in the SS is so easy and simple to understand and mod. but in all fairness if you were not going to mod then yes 5.0L is the better choice performance wise.

I bought these from LateModelRestoration for my 2011 GT and I'm a bit torn. First things first, when you are running 2300 RPM and above, they are caramel coated sex. Just awesome, as you can hear in the video.

However, when you are running low RPMs (1500-2200) in a relatively high gear, and give it some gas, they drone big time. If you are fine with 17-18 MPG instead of 24-25 MPG, they are a no-brainer: get them. If you bought your Mustang as a daily driver, you may grow tired of them.

@AMRennsports For a serious answer, I think its because of either the change to 4V or the variable valve timing. I once put flowmasters on my Cadillac with the Northstar 4V V8 engine and it sounded just like the stock sound found on the new mustang 5.0. Smooth. Maybe its a combination of both changes. I personally liked the previous mustang engine sound. It was unmistakably Mustang but I'll give it up for the 100 more hp. Tough tradeoff.

how in the hell do you make a car look so good all around until you get to the rear. the creator must have said "ok ,the car looks too good we need to fuck it up somewhere".their are too many gaps around the tail lights and that rear lower valance shouldnt have that much plastic it should have been painted.
