  • I thought this was a quality video on promoting P.E. The pictures and music were fitting and positive.

Two facts you can possibly add to this presentation are that our nation spends more on obesity than cancer and the U.S. citizens 22 years old and younger won't live as long as their parents on average!

    Academically was misspelled "acedemically"

I also wouldn't tear down other subjects. We should promote P.E. and even find methods of implementing other subject areas into the P.E. lessons.

  • I'm retired and been physically active for many years. I have never been to the hospital for health care or take prescriptions. I exercise everyday. Billions of dollars are spent on obesity and knowing that I can combat heart disease, stroke and diabetes gives me peace of mind . Thanks to all health and physical educators that have given me a prescription for a healthy lifestyle. I wont be a statistic in poor health and government waste.

  • i dislike this it is gay

  • Thanks MrCurtish63, I'm really glad it made you feel happy. :-)

  • @MrCurtish63

oh yeah i think you're gay hahahaha faggit

  • Thank you so much for the post. I'm sure that alt PE classes should at least be introduced. Heck, I'd like to see some rock-climbing, swimming, fencing, martial arts in schools. Of course this type of thing should be closely supervised. Then maybe we can even see a bright future for the American youth.

Oh yeah, big props, I'm from NJ and I've read articles by Kean University in the past. I got to say, you guys continue to surprise.

  • This is a really good video, last year, when i was at school i always used to watch this for inspiration (particularly with my theory!)

    Good video!

  • I used this with my staff for an opening day-meeting and it was well received. I thank the creator!!

  • Excelente video, lo apreciamos desde Puerto Rico.

  • Muchas Gracias!

  • Congratulations!Lets help each other to promote Physical Education and health education and share the importance of total fitness. I'm P.E. Instructor here in the Philippines. Your video is amazing... I like it, If you permit me, i will use it to my class during the orientation (1st day). Thanks. Good luck

  • Because of the growing number of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases among children in America due to their sedentary lifestyles, K-12 schools must require physical education programs in order to reconstruct a health y society as well as to develop overall well-being for children to become better students.

  • Then you have had a bad experience. Being a teacher is difficult and I can understand your frustration with people not practing what they preach. I know physical educators who smoke or who eat saturated fats like there's no tomorrow. But likewise I know social studies teachers that don't know a thing about Asian culture, or Math teachers that don't know how to get an answer... So there are exceptions to the rule. The place where you are is what we are trying to get away from.

  • P.E Is a joke. Fitness should be a choice of the individual, not forcing children to be someone they don't want to be. And once the child becomes an Adult, its not required. The P.E programs are totally based off of propaganda in the first place.

  • It really depends where you go to school. Our school is exceptional. Our teachers are first-rate teachers that have noting but passion for teaching. I will be the first to say that I thought physical education when I went to high school was a joke. I was an athlete and I got off with a lot. When I went to college I got fat and realized that exercise was important. Taking physical education as a major really made me understand the value of physical activity. Please stay active for a lifetime...

  • they do force us to do P.E.

and i hate it. and if i dont, my grade will go low.

im not even that athletic, i dont play much ball.

  • I am sorry you feel that way. However, there is more science behind physical education than you know. Most physical educators are also health educators and they are regarded as pre-med in most higher education institutions. Teaching is part art part science, combined with the physical aspect, you can learn almost anything through physical education. We teach everything from Anthropology to Virology. Physical Education really is a lifelong element that you will someday appreciate. Don't give up!

  • ey
