  • "Your not serious?" "The naughty step is always serious" LMFAO

  • I never saw these on tv and actually thought these were Mitchell and Webb look sketches. Apple don't quite seem to have got it :P

  • ii havent seen this adverts in ages :)

  • "mucking about with pictures, movies and websites..."

    No games.

    Fucking Macs.

  • Okay, can someone please tell me why I have never seen ANY of these adverts on UK TV? Where exactly are they being shown, some secret underground club for Peep Show fans? I have NEVER seen them anywhere, not on terrestrial, satellite or anywhere else. Can someone tell me where they are being shown? Is it cinemas or what?

  • @maureenOWW its shoned in 2007 Apple Uk Website

  • Are Mac and PC having some sort of competition to see who can create the most fucking annoying and nonsensical ads!? From these to the "I'm a PC and I'm 4 years old". Fuck Off. I'm gonna go live in the woods.

  • dont understand this one. What were they trying to say about the pc? Kids cant do things on it. doesnt make sense.

  • Im a Mac and a PC, Bootcamp ftw

  • I once saw this Advert / Sketch in a Cinemas Adverts : - )

  • The joke is actually pretty poor, but I laughed because David and Rob are brilliant comic actors.

  • it'd be better if mitchell was the mac.

  • Apologies, it is an advert, I made a guess based on what they usually do, and because I was bored. And annoyed at the Americans saying our adverts are crap, which they are, but no worse than theirs. And this one has David Mitchell and Robert Webb in it, therefore it is the best ever.

  • People do realise this is a sketch, not an actual advert, right? It was made to take the piss out of adverts. They're comedians, people!!!

  • @357Snowball If it was not an advert. Then why is it used as one?

  • What does naughty mean in America then? In Britain it means, you know... Bad? Misbehaving? Mostly a word used for children, it's quite patronising.

  • @357Snowball It can be used as such, but in these days and ages, it's usually in sync with the sexual behaviors.

  • @357Snowball Same thing but it can be used in a sexual context. ;)

  • PC:Mucking about with naughty pictures and websites!

MAC: but thats the kind of FUN stuff they like isnt it?

  • Yes and kids also like video games which are far easier to play on a PC!!!!!

  • I normally hate these mac vs pc apple douchebaggery commercials but mitchell and webb make everything 99x more awesome.

  • Maybe "naughty" has a different connotation in britain but it sounds to me like Mac just advertised that they're better for kids who want to look up porn.

  • @Aparition42 I was thinking the exact same thing! This one really confused me lol

  • kids dont "muck about with pictures and movies" they play games...no mac, i dont mean chessmaster.

  • i think PC has the super nanny virus!

  • @Jolee747

And I think mac is leaving its' door open.

  • Honestly, how many children play around with movies and pictures on computers? Not that windows prevents this. Stupid commercial

  • I still have to sit on that step and im 61.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ brilliant comment

  • haha i was always sitting on the step when i was little

  • David Mitchell's satire subtly mocks Mac's campaign.

  • Gosh, he looks a bit tubbier!

  • Go sit on the naughty step for that.

  • It must be sad to be so wrong all the time.

UK ad's feature Mitchell and Webb, ergo they are the superior advert.

  • since when do kids like gay porn?

  • pretty poor ad

  • It's a reference to a tv on channel 4 called 'super nanny' - basically shit parents get her to come in and teach their kids to behave.

I'll assume your not from england as it is popular over here despite being as rubbish as it sounds.

  • Oh i'm english, i just don't watch tv :x

  • didn't go to school either, did you?

  • Naughty step is always serious LMAO

  • naughty step sounds very...nauuuuuggghhhhttttyyyy

  • I love brit humour,

    accents,

    slangs and everything!

    although, i'm not a brit...

  • @callpolice999 Ok, I agree about english humour, but accents? You speak english right, but your not from england, right? Surely the country that starts the language can't have an accent? Or do you mean like regional accents, like Scouser, Somerset, etc?

  • @Chazo31 What do you mean "start the language"? That does not make any sense. Of course the English can have an accent. I'm not saying there is such a thing as an "English accent", nor is there an "American" one. All accents are by definition regional.

  • @SLiV9

i think they mean england created the english language, but yeah, i agree with you. i dont agree with them, of course the english have an acccent!

  • @implications24 England didn't create the english language. They didn't speak french at first and then decided "hey, let's make a new language; we'll call it English and it will have modal verbs and consonant clusters that will be pronounced entirely differently in the year 2011!"

One might argue that English originates in England, but natural languages are not created.

  • @SLiV9

well you know what i mean. you didn't need to jump at my throat, you know

  • @implications24 Was I jumping at your throat? I didn't intend to.

  • @callpolice999 ty im a brit ! AND I LOVE IT !

  • @callpolice999

We can tell. You used the word "brit."

  • the naughty step is always serious lol

  • I'm confused is Robert Webb saying its ok for kids to look at porn? Nice.

  • no its a punishment that parents use if a child of about 3yrs-ish and below is 'naughty' i.e. behaves badly, the child is told to go sit on the 'naughty step' (the bottom step of the stairs) for a few minutes until they stop being naughty then they can leave the naughty step its like being sent to your room except you dont have all the stuff. do you not have that in america?

  • No we just slap the shit out of the little basturd until they stop crying out of fear of getting hit again. It beats shaking them though :P

  • Nope, we have 'the corner,' unless there are no corners in the room (like there's a bookshelf there or something). But we're big fans of sending kids to their room, not really as a punishment but so they'll be bad somewhere else.

  • @SlomojoTRC Some parents in America do...if they watch supernanny but usually it's the corner or room.

  • can't live without British ppl lol

  • rapsody, movie maker, roxio, photoshop, games, games, dvd maker, oh ill find the bottom of this list eventually...video chat,paint...

  • use FREE software

    peace o/

  • Yeah, PC doesn't have Photoshop or Movie Maker to give kids that fun stuff they like... Oh wait... It does.

  • im so hot that I just took all my close off!! my a/c is broken! omg. im on cam too lol! B

  • so is it apple saying its okay for kids to look at porn pics, movies etc?

    hm... okay.

    lol.

  • if they are smart enough to know what it is then why not? Things like alcohal, ciggarretes and drugs are used more excessively by those who are not allowed to use it.

  • erm... i was just joking.

    "mucking about with pictures... movies..."

    "fun stuff they like"

if you think about it with your mind in the gutter...

  • Only if it's gay porn!

  • It has nothing to do with porn. The "naughty step" is the equivalent of a time-out chair.

  • i know. it was a joke... read my second comment.

  • this one of the few mac adverts that i actually like!

  • where is the Omnilf?

  • mitchell and webb are the best!

  • 'Unruly Erentness'

    HAHAHA

  • Anyways.... the video is quite funny, isn't it?

It was a Jez and Mez moment there.

    "You're not serious."

"The naughty step is always serious."

  • That's probably why they were chosen to front the ads. Not only are they so funny, but Jez and Mark are to differences like a Mac and PC (sorry i go on I'm a little sad)

  • how is that a fail? I said "futbol" meaning soccer. I said it because we have our own sport called football and that is what we like, not soccer

  • just take it, u failed. born a loser, always will b a loser. get out from infront of ur computer. its 24/7 youtubing for u aint it. go wash ur face

  • wow you really love to recycle your one comeback. just shows how clever a crackbaby can be

  • Wait, that wasn't funny at all.

  • thsy should revise this for an american version...unless there already is one....

  • The naughty step is always serious.

    They should re-run these ads.

  • This is by far the best version of the Mac/PC adverts!

  • dis viedo is clasic

  • Mitchell and Webb OWN!!!!!

  • Yep!

  • XD "your not serious" "the naughty step is always serious"

    Lmao

    That made me laugh XD

  • Have you noticed that the GB version of this advert is far superior to the American one. Not only does it have better actors but also it's actually funny!

  • ok why is everyone saying the naughty step is from super nanny? when erm its not! My mum has been using the naughty step for a good sixteen years on me! thankyou

  • so is mac supporting porn or something

  • lol-"the naughty step is always serious" LOL

  • lol

"the naughty step is always serious" ;]

mitchell and webb r funi (y)

  • i love these ads but pc is betr than mac

  • Not even in the same league.

  • Sorry but my mac is superior to my "old" pc (only 6mo older)

and I can run windows side by side with Mac OS

  • well maybe your old pc was a real POS. macs are crap

  • British humour is the best in the world.

  • lol, truly british

  • I don't get it.

  • the naughty step is a refference to a bristish show called super nanny in which a woman comes round to show parents how to properly repremand their kids. She often uses a naughty step to achieve this!

  • oh thanks. I get it now. Im american. we call it "time out" here.

oh and all you fucking assholes downing Jummyk1111, ever think that he may not be british, and may not use the term "naughty step" or the other weird phrases that brits use. say what you like but you have to admit, "gaylord" is a pretty weird phrase.

  • not really, surely even you can work out that it means lord of the gays....

  • its a retarded phrase and only the british would use it, along with all their other weird phrases

  • lets just think which country started speaking ENGLISH first? .... oh yer

  • who fucking cares who came first?

what does that have to do with anything?

and Im pretty sure that phrases like gaylord havent been around very long

  • wow, what are you five? you can't evem spell. and everyone calls americans uneducated.

  • Hahaha! "can't EVEM spell, huh?"

Hmm... if you're going to insult someone's spelling, it's probably a good idea to check your own too...

  • hey retard, do you know the difference between a spelling mistake and a typo?

    Apparently not.

  • u failed - get over it

  • hey retard, way to be 2 weeks late on a "comeback."

    YOU failed

  • i mighta been late with a comeback, but u still failed cock sucker, get over it

  • wow, cock sucker. you are so clever. Well at least I can give you credit for only spending 4 days trying to come up with a comeback.

  • 4days? i dnt thinkso. i seen ur comment and replied the same day retard. i dont sit at my desk infront of my computer like u do u greasy faced nut eater. stfu.

  • there is this thing called email. and I dont sit in front of my computer ever day. I simply find a way to take 5 minutes out of my day and check my email.

anyway go kill yourself, you bore me

  • yes silly him its not like he wud ave other stuff to do besides utube

  • hey retard who is asking you? I recommend you go back to school since you can't spell worth shit. in fact, you are too damn stupid to even spell the website you are on!

  • mate im not gonna bother typin in perfect english at age 16 now am i

  • I had better english skills when I was 13, and thats no bullshit

  • mate i have great english skill i was predicted B in my GCSE im jst gonnatalk slang on the internet cos i dont see the point of typing in perfect english on it

  • call it slang if you want, but most just think it looks retarded

  • a B???

    wow you really are smart..

you type properly because it only takes literally fractions of a second longer and it ensures that the english language doesn't adapt and dumb down over time, as it is starting to

  • mate i probably will type proper english in a few years but ryt now im only 16

  • 'im only 16'...

well how very nice, we have a sheep of a teenager in our midst... just because every other teenager types short in order to exude a remotely cool persona doesn't mean you have to follow..

im only 16 as well.. however important the fact that it takes about 2 seconds longer to type a message, lol, it doesnt mean that we should all type like idiots, because if our generation does it, so will the next and it will become common practice.

  • yer but mate i prefer to type short

  • well just singles you out as the retard.. erant unruly child at 00:14 of this video... its you

  • wow yes i must be retarded typing in slang at age 16 how silly of me

  • see, thats how you should type... i'm 16 and the majority of people i know type properly, other than the scroats and chavs..

  • its spelt errant, Mr. Narcher, now get on the naughty step.

  • what is spelled errant?

  • nope, sorry i am not a fuckin loser... got the wrong person..

david mitchell wouldn't approve of tasteless slang words.. long live mark corrigan

  • Dude, he can type however he wants to. If there's a word he shortens, add it to the friggn dictionary. Nobody likes people who say, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO LIVE YOUR LIFE!

  • It's also pretty funny how the word "fag" means something completely different in our 2 countries lol

  • yeah, I never really got that one.

  • Haha yea, if you called someone a fag here it would still mean the same thing but if say i went to america and said i want a fag or i fancy a fag, id look a right twat lol

  • lol

    twat

one of the few british words that sometimes americans say, not often though

but yeah, using fancy and fag in a sentence in america would make you look sooo gay lol

  • One of the few British words Americans say?

Hmm, how about your main language...

  • we took out all of the retarded phrases

  • LOL, so now you are saying Americans don't have retarded phrases?

    You're pretty funny mate.

  • go ahead and name them

  • This video is prime example.

    watch?v=EW2d-QrnFgA

  • yeah okay, one retarded announcer somehow represents all Americans? What he is he even doing there? Americans don't even care about futbol, or as we call it, soccer.

anyway thats a weak arguement. Im sure if I showed you one british retard you would be pissed that I tried to let him represent your country.

  • You are showing me one British guy and representing my country with it by talking about the guy in this video.

  • what guy am I showing you again? you mean the guy in the mac video. cant even remember what I said about him

  • You used him as an example of 'stupid' british quotes, so I showed you the video of a guy using stupid american quotes. How is it any different?

  • so you're telling us that you're just arguing for the sake of it now, and have gone completely off track from the subject of the video. Which, correct me if I'm wrong, is what we're actually supposed to be commenting on in the first place

  • uhh way to take two monthes to respond to my comment. anyway I don't care about this vid anymore, nor do I care about you

  • "Americans don't even care about FUTBOL"

    LOL

    FAIL!!

  • Your obviously an idiot with no knowledge of other countries or languages.

  • So you guys in the states spell football as futbol?

Yea how stupid of me T_T

  • no, in other countries (not in the usa.) Futbol is soccer. in america for some odd reason football (Which barely uses some ones foot) it is a different sport.

  • yeah I hate to agree with you but the name football is total bullshit and if we want to be so different from britain, why do we have to adopt the name of a completely different sport.

  • well first off, try clicking reply. you must be afraid of a comeback or something.

anyway I said that because football is a completely different thing in america. I say futbol because I am talking to brits. I would say soccer if I was talking to americans.

  • first off, i DID hit the reply button, you just must have retarded computer or internet.

Second off, we call it football, not futbol.

  • yet another person that doesn't know how to hit hte reply button.

    grow some balls

  • What???

I must admit that I like both the American and the UK versions of these commercials. And I love Mitchell and Webb!

  • Fuck off are all English a bunch of gimps?

Twat, why watch this advert if you dont like it.

  • yeah I vaguely know of the show, but in america it is only watched by stay at home moms

  • aha, these are so much better than the australian adds. We got the U.S ones, these are sooo much funnier

  • funny

  • ...WTF?

  • That's funny...but I'm a little confused. I'm from the US and is putting a kid on the steps a british form of punishment like how we put kids in the corner? or is it just something Mac made up for the add?

But i do like, "the naughty step is always serious"

  • if u've seen the show super nanny you would know it. its the equivalent to putting a child in time out

  • yeh, its like sending them to the corner

  • hahaha This is my favorite UK Mac vs PC.

"The Naughty Step is always serious"

  • Excellent XD
