have you considered orthognathic surgery? for sure you are happy with the results for braces aligned the teeth already but the gums can be corrected as well. you're already half way there if you want to do the extra mile. I'm doing the surgery this august myself and from what i've heard its really worth it. :)

@larrykc24 No because usually my gums are definitely not that visible, I just get used to really over-exagerate for the picture (the main goal was to show teeth moving, not to be a smile's showroom).

I made orthodontic treatment because it was a matter of health, going farther would just be cosmetic surgery. Right now I feel good, happy and I have a lot of other priorities to spend my time and my money :D

@maxkjaer I just got my four wisdom teeth removed. They were still out fine and harmless but the doctor was willing to remove them, I did not really know why.

Before starting I visited several doctors and the one I choosed was one of the few not desiring to remove me a bunch of other teeth, particularly molars. I was not absolutely convinced this was necessary and I did not regret not listening to the bunch of doctors claiming it is ...

@Pink038 No, my teeth were not particularly moved up/down. But clearly when I got my braces the way I putted my lips to smile was done into avoiding internal skin of the mouth being hurt but braces. Few weeks after I got my braces removed everything went back fine in initial position making my gummy smile really less gummy.

@KoreanSenzation Wrong, you could have ceramic braces everywhere. Just a matter of price, but sometimes doctors prefer not using ceramic braces as they are not as stronger as metal's one, and the forces put on teeth are also not exactly the same...

@bluefavorites I definitely have more gums than some others, but nobody's perfect ;)

Nobody talked to me about gummy smile (not even the dentist), and I don't see this again on pictures... so should be a reasonable level when I am not exaggerating and when my lips went back to a more normal position after orthodontics (they were clearly irritated by braces).

Anyway for me this dental affair is closed, happy with what I have, leave well alone!

@orthodontics463 i am agree..for some reason i find that braces make upper lip higher when i smile (hyperlip mobile). But it will back to normal after sometimes braces removed. There's no source discuss about this, but this is conclusion i get from my experience wearing braces twice. I am sure it becomes more appear because our lips try to find the free place to rest...

@eggEgg23 For the picture I perform really exaggerated smiles to be sure teeth are visible as far as possible and then the gum line was over exposed, clearly not as usual!

Same thing for teeth’s colour in the video: It appears really yellower than in real life, maybe due to the bathroom light's effect combined with the very poor and old camera used.

Perfectly happy with my teeth :)

Well if you have a careful feeding and tooth cleaning this is fine. The things to avoid are smoking (I did not smoke) and everything like curry (this can left marks even after the brace are removed).

If you are young and a school/student then do not waste money in ceramic brace. Orthodontist is very common and no one will laugh at you.

If you are older, working, customer faced etc. then it could be worth to go for ceramic brace, just to make you more confident continuing things as usual.

Then if you can afford not smoking or eating curry go for ceramic.

Maybe also check duration of treatment, I heard ceramic is slightly longer because they cannot put same kind of forces on teeth.
