  • were can you get these lasers?

  • @1337DesertFox4 I like it. It seems to be very well made and the smart switch isn't as tricky as some say. The Spartan from dragonlasers has a bit more power. Don't leave the Spartan around with batteries in it, it has no safety features and is a very dangerous laser.

  • Nice, but one question...

    Will it blend?

  • Ordered mine April 22/11 received it May 6/11.

  • @CrashByron Please tell me is it worth it and good?

  • @1337DesertFox4 It's a scam.. google 32 reasons not to buy an artic.. click the first result.. and u'll find why.

  • @1337DesertFox4 I just got mine and it is freaking awesome! the only bad thing was that it took a while to get here.

  • DEO HAHA

  • id get it if it werent 300 bucks...

  • Lies this is the most powerful (legal) hand heled lazer they have lazers that reach mars and that's very strong youd die in that beam

  • @jeffhamm This laser will cause cancer if you have on your skin. So this laser is beast

  • spartan laser is better lol

  • according to guinnes record, this is the most powerfull laser at this time

  • take off the lens and it is stronger

  • Pyromaniacs of the 21st century.

  • Wickedlasers are totally useless company , with an unbelievable customer service attitude .

I have been waiting 9 months for my laser and despite a dozen or more emails , I have received neither the laser or a refund.

I have approached a national newspaper here in the uk along with about 20 pissed off customers.

Lets see if some shit publicity will get these jokers off their asses !

  • the Dragon Lasers Spartan is better!

  • @zillsburyy how so?

  • its 1W

  • be very careful looking at that ALways weir those goggles

  • OH MY GOD

  • can you find out for us the maximum distance you can burn an item such as a newspaper or a cardboard box/ceral box ?

  • those ARE NO TOY, carefull what you with those, you can make someone blind in the blink of an eye if you are not carefull with those incredibly strong laser, a short reflection in your eye and you are blind as well

  • That's one way to cut tape :)

  • The first step of the lightsaber

  • pretty sure some of my latest vids are slighty better i burn some electrical tape from idk like 15 feetish..should check em out.

  • Ok so whats the point of this laser again?

  • @prjusblaze who cares its cool #FTW

  • How long does the battery charge last?

Whats the distance of laser beam?

  • Don't feel bad about waiting a month beacuse i'm still waiting on mine going 4 months. I will NEVER order from Wicked Lasers again.

  • @gtrules46 Ordered mine in June, still waiting......

  • they said it would be 445nm blue but that looks more like crappy 405nm violet :(

  • that thing is $300!

  • @joelsare12 yes but $300 isn't that much... 1 year ago 5mW blue lasers had cost over $500

  • which has better beam visibility?

the green verson of the spyder III or the blue version?

  • @boobgun222

the spyder iii only seems to come in 445nm blue, there is no green version

  • Have you tried going outside at night with it nd pointing it at the sky?

If so what is it like?

  • @trampolinegods4life That would be dangerous..

  • @TheSranks Not really...as long as there are no airplanes around it is perfectly legal. People use lasers to point out stars all the time (granted using this laser might be overkill). But to answer your question trampolinegods4life, it is a thick, solid blue beam at night time. Extremely cool looking. I will try to get video/pictures of it soon.

  • @SpdKilzdotcom I know :)

The laser looks cool as hell though! Wish i had one >:)

  • Where did you get it?

  • @jonjon87 Type in wickedlasers into google.

  • Why do people always burn CD thingys?

  • how close does it need to be with the object? i'm sure you can't burn it if you are five feet away.

  • @tangjkd When it has the burning lens the beam converges about an inch and a half away. With the normal lens, it can burn (not as powerfully obviously) quite a ways away. I had it start to burn a dark brown couch cushion about 15 feet away when I had the laser on it.

  • So what if the Chinese manufacturer of the protective eyewear had a bad batch run but their QC department let them ship anyways or get in trouble with the boss ? Wouldn't be the first time. When your walking around with a cane, smelling the butt of a german shepherd for the rest of your life you can always remember the useless things you did with this really stupid gadget.

  • From Wicked Web Site - Do not allow bare skin to be exposed, including your face when wearing safety goggles, to light diffusely reflected from any surface closer than several inches = cancer. Do not allow unprotected eye exposure to diffusely scattered light from the beam terminating on a wall, the floor or other flat surface from this laser closer than 3 feet. NEVER to look into a laser beam or bright reflection even when wearing laser safety goggles = BLINDNESS. From video you did it all.

  • Be sure to check out my new video guys! Look under the Video Responses.

  • To teamhex it isnt a scam trust me on this if you look for a blue laser over 1 watt ur going to need serious money, for 300 its the best buy u can get for a 1 watt blue laser

  • its actually around 750-800mw...its been tested

  • Still haven't got mine :(

So it isn't a scam then? I didn't get ripped for over $300?

  • @teamhex

I've had mine for over a week now and so far it's been perfect. Not a single issue. Definitely not a scam, just WL demonstrating that they can design a good laser, but can barely manage to run the business that provides it. Shame really.

  • Hey. can you like point the laser at yourself, like at the palm of your hand at 100% power and tell me how long it takes for you to feel discomfort, and possibly start to burn? please tell me the seconds of when it feels uncomfortable, and when it burns. also, do you need to constatnly wear goggles?

  • @DavidSlaine Under a second.

  • Hmm, guess I shouldn't have canceled my order lol

  • that is some james bond shit

  • didnt all the lasers get fitted with the smart switches? i bought mine on the 16th july and i hope that switch was introduced before then. i did read an article about the switch being introduced after i bought it but im not sure if the one i got will have it.

  • @GTModified

I think only those that specifically requested a G1 got one. Except for those that were in the first batch or two.

  • yah its a very cool looking device but as others have asked what good is it? the only applications i can see this used for is evil deeds. still looks cool though.

  • where do you live?

  • very cool hot laser!

  • Needs to be more like this:

    youtube.com/watch?v=IJcZKaj93TY

  • youtube.com/watch?v=IJcZKaj93TY

  • So, once you've burned through various objects - what practical use does this gadget actually have?

  • @powdoa LOL, let me guess, your favorite movie is sex in the city!

  • @pjdaprinz lol good guess but unfortunately incorrect :-( It's actually Mama Mia :p

I only asked cos these things are what, $200? To me that's a lot to spend on something that actually doesn't seem to have a lot of use value (IMO)

  • @powdoa LOL. Yes they are quite expensive and honestly they don't serve any other purpose than having fun with it. It doesn't make sense to own one, I guess is the little kid in every man.

  • More importantly can you kill ants with it?

  • Do me a favor and toast a dead cockroach? hehehe

  • I can't believe this thing! There giving one away on lasertainment*dot*com! There has to be a catch!

    L

  • you guys seem to have been caught up in the arctic craze this laser is not as good as you are expecting, i know... it happened to me when i made my first burner :(

  • @LazorLad Yes it is, it is 1000mw of 445nm laser, it's so many times better than you can even imagine

  • @LazorLad You have some like it, are you not amazed by it?

It was so awesome the first time I saw a blue laser in real life.

  • @rathat48 well as you stated i have one so i can imagine it, and yes its a great laser. however i've worked my way up 5mW, 15mW, 30mW, 70mW, 100mW, 200mW, 300mW, 450mW, 600mW, 1Watt, 200W (pulsed). the thing is people expect this laser slice thick plastic with ease and instantly burn through your hand, where in reality it dose not do this... awesome laser, not nearly as awesome as people made it out to be.

  • @LazorLad I was thinking of the awesomeness of the beam rather than the burning power, Burning things with a laser doesn't excite me, I just like looking at the beam, the brighter the better.

  • heres something you can try: im pretty sure that when you first turned this laser on, you were wearing your shades. when it is night time try pointing it in the sky and take of the shades and tell us what you see :)

  • I ordered july1 so still in the waiting for the g2.

Now, are you saying we need lens kit for focusing the beam and that's why it's so slow burning?

  • @nullatall Yes, his beam is focused to infinity. If you want to melt things fast, you need the "Focusing Effect Lens."

  • That has to be the training lens. Oh god please tell me that that's a damn training lens on it!

  • so this is with just the training lens? i can't wait to see with the focusing lens, and i can't wait to get mine, i opted for the G2 and ordered on july 23th so i don't think im gettin mine anytime soon

  • are you sure you remembered to replace the training lens?

  • @l3g3nds540 Yes, I remembered to replace the training lens.

  • @SpdKilzdotcom do you have a lens kit with the focusable thing???

if you focus it,it will burn

  • Awesome video man. Thank you for posting it.

  • GUYS - read the description. My video camera DOES NOT capture the actual brightness of the laser/beam. Accordingly, the laser is focused to infinity. Once I obtain the focusing lens which is meant to be used for burning, you will see a drastic improvement in how fast it can burn through things.

  • Yea thats not right... My 600mW is MUCH brighter than that... Hmmmmm

  • Nice! Where do I get one?

  • That is not anything near 1W

  • usually the drivers are constant current buck/boost, meaning that as long as the battery is above a certain amount, the current will be constant to the laser diode. the voltage will change as needed. below a certain supply voltage (eg. the battery is too low), the driver turns off. if they are using a driver like this (probable) then it won't matter if the battery is low. what you see is what you get.

  • either the battery is low or we're all getting screwed out of our money... I'm waiting on a G2.. I expect a 1W laser to burn through plastic and electrical tape a lot damn faster than that.. I believe the training lens is installed, because that's what it comes with according to the website. Basic lens kit is another $15 and the Extended lens is $25. I want full burning power so I guess I'm going to have to get a fucking lens kit...

  • Is that the G1? If so I wonder what the low power setting on the G2 would look like.

  • Dude, get new batteries

  • Cant wait for mine! 62XXX, sadly, I will be waiting long time. Which given the awesomeness of this laser, I am totally fine with. :D

  • cant wait for mine 57xxx

  • Try some smoke. This lets everybody know, without smoke dont expect much. This is why they where slow getting them out. They knew first video would be dissapointing. Bet the price drops back to $197 soon

  • ‎1w, I dont think so. I hope someone out there has testing equipment. 1w should burn any color tape, lets see it burn light colored tape.

  • I think the beam wasnt very bright.. I am a little disappointed, did you only use 10% of the full power?

Perhaps make a new video with full power outdoors at night? :)

    (TipTip)..

  • Comment removed

  • Post more night shots or outdoors.

  • Ooooo dat is dice!

  • Looks cool, I see it burns electrical tape a ton slower than my 600mw set one, but it's focusable so...With my DIY 1 second of electrical tape gives a huge ton of thick smoke that fills my room quickly...

Must be just not focus or lower than 600mw?

  • wow, can you see the beam during the day, and how bright is the beam at night?

  • @dereileak

no, about as bright as a 100mw green at night.

  • HOLY CRAP! I can't wait until mine comes in!

  • Did this have any fog?

  • @ownuup

    no

  • is the beam TEM00?

  • Great to see these things are finally on the way. Going through that CD base is impressive.
