I think what the greater fear in Europe is that if there is a purge of Muslims of North-African, Arab or Pakistani descent it will not be the same as the holocaust was for the Jews. It is more likely to have sustained global effects that will also send Europe back into the stone-age. It's only blind arrogance that denies that possibility. The US economy is on is last legs but they can still strike out, Europe is in massive debt at the moment and immigrants won't make a difference.

The Catholic church example is a bad example. The church is far from perfect but at least is trying to mend its errors, they are acknowledging problems are there. This does not seem to happen in the Muslim world, which cant take any criticism. While all Catholics worldwide see child abuse as disgraceful, the same thing cannot be said for Muslims and terrorism/violence...

In the Muslim world they simply will not face their past evils - slavery on a bigger scale and far longer than Europeans did, massive religious intolerance in some areas, divisions within Islam (sunni/shia etc), the fact that Islam was spread with violence originally and other issues.
We in the west are facing our past crimes...but we are the only people doing it.

Europe was the biggest terrorists of them all then with them colonizing throughout Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Carribeans. Of course, the history books don't call this "terrorism" per se, they use the term "colonization," and "empire." What were the Crusades? Weren't the Christians going around persecuting those of other faiths, especially the Muslims, for not believing in the same ideology behind Jesus? Hitler was Christian and look at what he did.

If you actually knew history you would know that Muslims conquered huge areas of the world between the 7th and 14th Century...Europeans never did anything to Muslims until long after the Muslim states had invaded them.
I completely agree with you about Christians persecuting other peoples...they were the most intolerant people once. Worse than the Muslims or Jews. But today we see the situation has changed no?
And yes, Hitler was a Christian - he espoused what he called "positive christianity".

Hitler quotes Martin Luther and the bible several times in his book. He wrote that by setting himself against the Jews he was doing the Lord's work.
Some of his staff wanted to restore Germanic Paganism but Hitler said no...he wanted "Positive Christianity" for his people.
German troops had "Gott Mit Uns" (God with us) engraved on their belts and Catholic priest blessed them before battles in eastern europe.
Hitler also made alliances with Muslims as well.

This is based on logic. Read the quran and hadith, and you will draw the same conclusion! Read how quran says about treating non-believers, its like Mein Kampf telling about how to treat jews! This book is preaching hate, therefore its believers are potential terrorists, which has proven true in history again and again!

Faith is a joke - the world needs reason not faith. It needs honestly not superstition. Humans need to be taught they are not subject to some invisble god or gods who cares what you eat, how you dress and who you have sex with...

Most of the reliable history in Europe and the middle east from the 8th to the 13th century comes from Muslim scholars - so if you are calling Muslim scholars bias you are shooting yourself in the foot.
It would seem no one is allow to say anything that might put some Muslims or the religion of Islam in bad light but we can all criticise any other group or ideology...christians, jews etc.
