This game and the original Red Alert... pure epic nostalgic suicide. It's like good memories are coming to kill me with a furious vengeance, and it's nothing short of GLORIOUS.
Whenever I attack in one of the Tiberian games I play kick butt music but in truth 90% of the time I should be playing this instead. Sleep in peace my brothers you fought well.
Build 1,000 infantry, send them all to attack the enemy base full of tanks (after several back and forth trips to click send em all, play this track, watch the brave slaughter charge, shout encouragingly to your troops ;)
Buidling, Buidling, Building, Cannot comply, building in progress, training, Traning, trianing, traiining, Trainig, Traning, Silos needed, Low power, Base is under attack.
This was THE best audio track for me, and a cause of my early childhood dreams, I used to always imagine an Bright white day with a massive bleach white Greek structure, and occasionally a GDI flag =)
that is not EA's fault that they ruined great game series, that is People's fault.Because mass don't want to think, mass want to "eat".So, go and refresh their brains and make them think!
@shoter123546564 basically it IS their fault, the fucked the developpement team up
in that time, the new generation of developpers was recently being hired all around, what EA probably didnt know tho is most of the new developpers would suck balls at designing games and that westwood were the bests at C&C
EA fucked 1 of my favorite childhood series up.....
this IS a fact, proved many times
a game developpers is the one that invented the world in it, it is likely never possible to remake it...
Damn this song. I remember this song mostly because all I had was a Barracks, one Power Plant and $10000 in funds. The enemy had a full base, but luckily I had that one Engineer and turned that whole thing around. Enemy Harvester anyone?
It's too bad there aren't any orchestral remixes of this track out there, most remixes are either rock and techno, which can sound good too, but it really takes away the soul and the feel of the track...
nope, this is officially composed by westwood's music technician Frank Klepacki, knowing westwood the probabilities that its a remix from terminator is pretty weak even thought its still possible but you know, sometimes a song looks alot like another... >.>
forward... in the march... of... DOOM !!! hehe i love these songs... hey anyone can explain wtf happened in the gaming industry the last 10 years ? new companies sucks some serious fucking uber balls man... back in C&C TD, you had an epic gameplay in each game, a music with a meaning, an awesome story and some challenge. why the fk can i still play my N64 and have more challenge than an xbox 360 or a PS3 ? seriously.... most of the games sucks...
whenever i hear this i get images of what my 13 year old brain thought of what this mission would be like... GDI forces storming a beachhead into NOD territory, fighting inch for bloody inch of ground. as tanks explode, machine guns fire and men die. its a very moving song. they really dont make them like they used to (looking at you Tiberium Twilight)
This always plays when i am deciding to waste a nuclear bomb on a tiny little gdi base, then it makes me launch it, then i regret it because i find a much, MUCH bigger base :( :)
@allyo I didnt play the game but I played tiberian sun and suddenly learned about dawn only later on, still I agree all us old-school gamers enjoy this music, especially since its instrumental so we can "feel"it
@allyo You are incorrect sir. I haven't played any of the C&C games but this music is fucking incredible. Maybe I don't enjoy it in the same context as you but its going on my MP3 all the same.
In which case, he is correct. Why, you ask? Because he said that no outsider could appreciate it the way the we do. Oh, you might appreciate it alright, but by your own admission you've never played any CnC games, so you don't appreciate it the way we do. :P
@Hikaru119: This song sort of got a remix. In the first Red Alert OST, there is a song titled Afterlife. During one part of Afterlife, it sounds like the 1:07 part of March to Doom.
A Truly FItting theme to remind you when you are building your mighty armies that they march to their doom or the enemies doom, it does not matter for it is doom for either side nonetheless... :)
I remember the first time I heard a GDI Guard Tower, I was about six I think, and I think I had this playing. Needless to say, I about jumped out of my seat.
i loved this theme its very poweful and when you play missions of the infintry screaming when they died it matched the sound track......very nostalgic.
Wow this is some very powerful music, that brings manly tears to my eyes. That or the fact it reminds me of playing this game to death when I was 6 years old. *Sigh* I sure miss those times, when life for me was so much simpler and easier.
I thinking like you. I can't tell it bedder! I played this game with 9 years and i don't forgett it in my life! I have tears in my eyes too, but i don't know why. This game is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry good!
Five wounded grenadiers scramble out of their chinook, for some reason they keep getting orders to assault the nearby NOD base. Prepping their gear they march towards the sea of NOD infantry, shadowed by the imposing bulk of an Obelisk, their target.
The squad leader turns to his yellow-clad comrades, "I wish that fucking flying cursor would tell us to go to a bar in Tahiti".
Always seems to come on when I'm either launching an attack with the crappiest of forces, or my base is being shelled into oblivion. Either way, it's awesome.
The music, that is. Not watching my army get obliterated.
